you’ve got a whole life ahead of you. i cannot count on my fingers how many times you are going to look up at the sunset and smile, feeling oh, so warm. there are days when you are going to feel so unconditionally loved in the presence of people you deserve and who deserve you. you are going to be recklessly loved and hopeful. you’ve got days of peace ahead of you, there will be good things. but please realize there will be tears. there will be confusion and fear. you may even be experiencing some of that darkness now. this darkness, which inevitably will appear, is not a sign that your life is bad. this darkness is just an obstacle. it’s something that tries to turn your eyes away from the bright days to be had. keep your eyes towards the sky, keep your heart towards the love. keep going, better days are ahead.

I love the phrase “You will be found.” I just adore it. It isn’t, “Someone will find you.” It doesn’t focus on the other, it focuses on you. Because the someone could be anyone. They could be a parent, a friend, a teacher, a colleague, a concept (like art, writing, music), or even your own self. No matter who or what that someone or something is, you are still the focus. People will help you along the way, but ultimately, you will get better, you will live another day, you will grow and flourish and blossom. You will be found.

hey! thank you so much for this sweet little message :,) i really appreciate it. i’m actually in my third week of college at the moment (it’s a pretty high-pressure place, and i have about 30 hours of class, clubs, and work every week, and that’s not even including 20+ additional hours of studying. it’s a lot! but i think it’ll be worth it in the end!) getting used to everything has made it very difficult for me to find time to be on here, sadly. i think, once everything calms down class-wise and i get more settled in, i’ll be back! i miss being all here and talking to y’all!! 💕

the whole 20 year filming process gives me so much anxiety tbh it’s hard to even describe

honestly ME TOO!! there are so many things that could go wrong/change over 20 years. i get that richard linklater wants to one-up boyhood, but he’ll be nearly 80 years old by the time the movie’s done!! seems excessive to me...
