I can write with a broken wrist but I can’t write myself out of this damn corner. I can and have written a whole story around this corner but I can’t connect…

Fuck. I try desperately to write my own experiences down and change the names of the characters but it doesn’t flow. Why did I write myself into this corner? Can I do a cheeky time jump? No. No, I’m not one of those writers. I can do this…

I’m probably very late here but I figured out why the last dance looks so odd. It’s been bugging me since I watched the episode. The guests are dressed oddly and the art is odd. Why? There’s gotta be a reason. Then I watched a “documentary” about paintings (thanks Internet Historian) and it all clicked. The theme is “The Garden Of Earthly Delights”, based upon this triptych by Bosch. Puzzle solved. It’s also the reason why Louis has a strange lamp (I think it’s a lamp) in Dubai.

Lestat and Louis are living out “The Scorpion And The Frog” and no one has mentioned it and I find that upsetting. Come on now.

Is anyone else having the worst time writing sex scenes (or lemons for all the old folks out there) now that they’re not teenage virgins? I find that I can no longer fantasize about what my “perfect” experience would be like because I’ve had experiences and they’ve all been shit. I know what it feels like to just stare at the ceiling and wonder how legit my faux orgasm is so I can go on with my life. I don’t want to blue-ball readers either by skipping over chapters. I hate it when other writers do that to me. I just need…I need to be 17 again. Not 34 and bitter. So very bitter. *sigh*

Rhett and Link solve the mystery of how two men fit into a common casket. Spoiler…not very well. Meaning that our boys really had to go to the casket shop and test out potentials to see if they both fit.

How do you keep your sanity right now? I’m going to overshare and tell you right now that I’m in a shelter. Well, kind of a shelter. Part of it is a shelter. But the other bit is a place for recovering addicts to go and figure things out after treatment. The city this place is in isn’t my home. And I’m very much alone. On Christmas. My sanity is wrapped up in hope. Hope that I’ll get out here and into a home of my own. But also, and stay with me here, creature comforts. A huge one is IWTV. Why? Well there’s the escapism of course but also because it reminds me of a time when I was a very scared, bullied kid in 8th grade and I’d go hide in the library. I’d grab whatever Anne Rice novel I could find and escape for an hour or so. Those were terrible, terrible times for me for I made it out. And maybe I can make it out now…
