Winter break

A short story

My love

Dear, family

My love, she is my everything. As sometimes with love in certain people it will encompass everything. I met her on a cold winter day, the clouds covering the sun from daring to show its shine. I met her at a cafe, a small yet quiet place with a blue painted wood sign that said ‘Cloud cafe’. I was struggling to finish my college application essays so I decided I would take a walk down to the cafe and order myself an expresó and get to work. I walked up to the counter, ordered my drink and then as I received it I sat down in one of the wooden chairs which thankfully had cushions on the seat. And I pulled out my bulky old laptop, handed down to me by my father because he didn’t feel like paying for a new one, and plugged it into the outlet in the wall. With this I would be set, a few hours to complete my essays and then submit them in my dream colleges. But her, my love, had come to the cafe and sat directly at my table with no hesitation. She didn’t care because the cafe was only a brief remission from the chaos of her home life (of which we had a great many long conversations about). So she was there and I was staring which I’m no longer embarrassed to say, and she had come with her novel in tow. ‘A thousand years without you’ is a part of the sci-fi series she’d loved. And I took notice of her latte in hand, as she brushed her short dark brown hair out of her face. And then, all too suddenly she looked up to meet my gaze and asked me if I wanted to sit beside her and chat. I was caught off guard but my answer was of course a resounding yes. I found out later on when we used to talk about how we first met that she had noticed me staring and she explained how she had thought I was cute, with my long black hair and my tattoos. And my love told me how much I looked like a puppy staring at its favorite toy. Again I was embarrassed when she first told me that and I apologized profusely. But when she had asked me to come over I shifted over to her side of the table immediately. She started telling me about how she loved coffee but the addiction that came with it shuts her off from it sometimes. And I laughed and joked that caffeine addiction is just as dangerous as any other addiction. And we chatted about her book and her love for anything romantic and I talked about my college essays and how I would much rather listen to music instead of work on them, and about my band and how we had a concert in a few days time. And by the time we were done talking, the book was shut and the laptop was closed and it was late in the evening so I decided to walk her home. And she held onto my arm as my love happily explained where she lived. And when we arrived she told me to wait outside and she hastily scribbled her number for me on a sticky note. We’ve been together for 30 years. Been meaning in the past tense. My love passed this spring, as you all already know. I hope with this you can come to understand why I’m doing what I’m doing now, and understand how much pain I’m in now that she’s gone, now that I’m on my own and without her. I love you all and I’ll miss you as much as you will miss me. But it’s too late for anything now.

Anime recommendations (christmas edition!)

Happy holidays everybody!

we haven’t had anime recommendations in a bit so I hope you enjoy

the first anime on our list is danganronpa (wtf how did this get here)

Because what screams Christmas more than watching a sadistic two-toned bear with homicidal tendencies convince children to murder each other!

ngl though I’m not joking when I say,

I actually did watch danganronpa for the holidays and it’s actually quite festive (I’m not a psycho the vibes were just on par). Go watch if you like mysteries, thrillers, and ace attorney and or judge Judy 🤩💕

the second anime on our list is Erased! its set during winter ❄️ so its already in the holiday spirit! And it’s about time traveling and child murder and we already know how on brand child murder is for christmas. It’s got a great storyline packed with twists and turns. But a word of warning the ending is kinda so so.

the third anime on our list is Snow White with the red hair. Our main heroine, Snow White has gotten herself trapped in a reverse harem and always gets yanked away for her red hair. It’s set in a more fantasy-esque area and its really good at capturing complex relationship dynamics of people in different social classes, power dynamics, and wants and passions. It’s really good and you should give it a try.

now last but not least is your lie in April. All I can say is, pianos, música, my favorite character is the aunt and you know why (hint ✨women✨) but it’s good watch itttttttt.

I’m starting a comic called Tore and the Magicals (still workshopping the name not entirely set in stone lol), and it’s a fantasy story about a magic despising runaway trying to survive in a magic filled world. Pretty cool huh? Got some concept art for it as well! I might post it on webtoon as a starting base, and it should be fun. This is my first comic so any critics are welcome. The characters shown are Tore (she/her, red hair, the runaway and warrior) and Mage (she/her, blue hair, shes a magic obsessed queen, also a runaway of sorts)

Anime Recommendations The Sequel

Alright we’ve got more in store for the peeps. It’s spooky month sooo, might as well tale this time to recomend my favorite

psychological horror and murder anime’s because it’s that time of the month. Anyway, right off the bat I’m gonna start easy and say go watch danganronpa. And I know what your thinking, “Is this bitch really telling me to go watch this show everyone says to go watch and theres kinda a cult following for it?” Yes, I am. I’m not part of the cult following so you can trust me, it’s actually a pretty cool show so go check it out for a murder mystery/detective sort of feel. Next one is school live, which I really can’t say much about just because you need to watch it first, that’s it. School girls and apocalyptic zombies? thats all. Also loveable characters. Next one is my all time favorite, puella madoka magica, a story about magical girls being corrupted and used for an unknown reason. It’s got a lot of awesome fight scenes, but also raw characters and emotions. Go watch it. The last one is the darkest out of the bunch so imma put out an “adult, mature“ ⚠️ warning. It’s happy sugar life and if you want a show that will leave you feeling utterly disgusted and dissatisfied afterwards, this is the show for you. Thats really all I have to say

School

School is so tiring, and I mean it’s definitely 50 times better now that I’m in highschool but damn…It takes so much out of you. I wake up at 5:00, get ready, get on the bus, get to school, wait in a security line for 20 mins, 1 hr first period, 1 hr second period, lunch, 1 hr, hr you get the idea. Then I have to get on a shuttle to drop me off at a whole nother school just to get on my actually bus which takes an hr to get to my house. So when I finally get home I’m pretty drained and I still have to pretend like I have energy because I’m an older sibling. And I have no clue what to do with myself afterwards because I’m so mentally put out…..

Romance Anime

I started recently watching konohana kitan which is about gay fox girls working at a hot springs with magical fantasy aspects and looks at lesbian relationships of all kinds and it’s pretty light in terms of content. But it’s just really sweet, and who could pass up some cute lesbian fox girlys. Not only that, but because Miss Kobayashi dragon maid popped back up with our beautiful season two, it’s back on the radar for talking. Go watch it, it’s about miss kobayashi and her dragon maid tohru and they get into all sorts of wacky mischief as the work through they’re new life together. Also Tohru is kinda in love with miss Kobayashi so it’s adorable ☺️
