Found a racer snake in the hills and two Santa Cruz garters at a hidden beach.

Unfortunately my favourite, the black and white ameraucauna, turned out to be a rooster (they’re illegal in my town). He went back to the breeder and my mum and sister each picked out a new hen :) a cinnamon queen and a Rhode Island Red.

When half the plants all want water at once... we fill the shower

Kizzy went for her yearly checkup and passed with a clean bill of health. :) She’s so sweet and tolerant; she wiggles but never bites nor aggressive at the vet (even though they have to hold her with that evil nasty towel!).

She does, however, need more bathing. She has an irritated throat and slightly huffy breath — she’s too dry. She’s been assigned a daily soak in the shower, much to her displeasure. (Any tips to make bath time fun and enjoyable? I rarely ever see her bathe)

I love my munchkin to death and am so happy I get to live to be old with her.
