warning: my brain was NOT working while I wrote this.

you stir awake , turning over to your wives side of the bed to find it empty, the sheets were still warm beneath you, but they lacked the body that usually resided there.

you wipe your eyes and kick your legs over the bed, your feet hitting the cold ground with each step out of your bedroom

you find your wife in her office, hunched over a desk much too small for her frame, and a single lamp illuminating the paper below it.

you put a hand on her shoulder before leaning down to nestle your face in the crook of her neck. "you should get to bed" you say, your breath hitting her neck and making her shiver a bit.

she wouldn't look at you. she knew if she did, she would fold immediately. "later, I'm busy." she replied, her voice emitting that deep chest-y tone she had whenever she was tired.

you sighed and threw a leg over hers, sitting in her lap and putting both hands on her cheeks "then i suppose we'll both stay awake" you gave her a tired smile, the type that makes her heart melt. Though shed never admit that out loud.

it didn't take long before you fell asleep against her, snoring softly with your head on her shoulder and your arms wrapped tightly around her frame.

she sighs, suddenly deeming that she can finish her work tomorrow.

she stands up, carrying you to your shared bedroom and placing you on the bed before laying down with you.

she stared at you, there weren't many times that she could just... admire your features, sometimes she wished she could stay like this forever, with you and only you.

she tried to keep herself awake, but even if she wasn't ready for the day, it cant always be night

I love Lady nagant too much, so I have to give myself a reality check (not proofread/my opinion, so this isn't supposed to be taken too seriously/kinda short)

- to start off, I don't think she'd willingly let you know about her side job. Personally, I think she'd be pretty damn good at hiding her side job

- she comes hone covered in blood? Naw, it's just ketchup

- let me paint you a picture rq

- the day you did find out about her job, you just so happened to witness one of her killings in the alleyway of a city. It was like nothing you've ever seen out of her. The normally carasmatic and loving woman you knew was replaced with a cold-blooded murder

- Unfortunately, I don't think she would value you over her job. You could beg, plead, and cry for her to just quit, but she wouldn't, not because she couldn't quit, but because she felt as if she had nothing else going for her.

- Depending on the type of person you are, it might Unfortunately lead to a breakup ("I can fix her!" You can't, sorry 😓)

- if yall don't break up, she still gets locked up,

-it's not cannon or anything, but I'm sure it was premeditated, so she would probably try to drop subtle hints about 'going away for a while'

- I don't think she'd tell you directly what she's about to do, she'd either give a brief warning that you won't be seeing her, or she would just leave without warning.

- once she's gone, it gives you a lot of time to reflect on your relationship with her.
