Ikemen Academy is not what it seems. At first glance, it’s a prestigious learning institution–but what the public doesn’t know is that Ikemen is training the next generation of killers and villains. Betrayal, lies, and manipulation is common…and what’s more, encouraged, amongst the students and staff.

To gain entry, you must murder…and to graduate, you must commit the same atrocity. How will Evilmen Academy fare when an unsuspectingly innocent maiden stumbles upon their campus? Only time will tell.

The classes are divided into four groups:

    Overlord, the highest rank. People in this class does not have to do anything yet there are a lot of people who’d beg to do their bidding. This position shows charisma and ability to lead and makes idea on how to kill their targets.

    Silent Killer, the second rank. Silent Killers have their own special method of killing. Since they still have to do things on their own, they are lower than Overlords.

    Enchanter, also known as the second rank. The difference between an Enchanter and a Silent Killer is their method. Silent Killers use a weapon while Enchanters use more of their mind, voice, and seduction.

    Anti-Hero, the lowest rank. People on this level are faced with threats of being eliminated from the school. The Anti-Hero rank is also offered special classes and courses to get them to a higher level.

Izumi (Nerd Senpai) AH

Izumi claims it was a mistake. He accidentally killed his best friend by mixing the wrong ingredients for the tea they drank when they had a study date. Since then, his reputation as a diligent student was tarnished, and he had no other school to go but the one that offered him placement for his misdeeds.

Yuu (Young Senpai) SK

Yuu says that the bunny he brings is sentient. It whispers to him things he needed to do, people to not trust and who to kill before they hurt him while also telling him what and how to do certain things. The Academy claimed his madness as his way of hiding his true ability as a natural born killer.

Ren (Lazy Senpai) E

Ren was accepted by his manipulative ability to have someone to do his bidding. He and Reiji were qualified by burning their old junior high school.

Touya (Art Club Senpai) SK

Rumors say Touya has multiple personalities that could be accessed by inhaling a particular pigment. For now, what is known as the yellow pigment triggers his murderous ability, the blue pigment returns him to a calm state, and the green pigment made him forget his deeds. He woke up in a mess in his art club smiling at his blood-stained masterpiece.

Hajime (School Festival Senpai) AH

Hajime was involved in an accident with a festival he held. There was a miscommunication with the fireworks department that resulted in several of the staff members losing their lives. As no other school accepted him for his reputation, he was tested by the Academy to kill one of his younger staff member who was rumored to be the cause of the miscommunication. He got accepted to the Academy afterward.

Reiji (Science Lab Senpai) SK

Reiji was overly eager and easy to please. His knowledge and ability in pyrotechnics was renowned not only in the science department. It was a shock when he used his technique to burn the school for some reason not specified, but the Academy has received both his and Ren’s admission letters to know what they had done.

Shun (Gamer Senpai) E

Shun was an ordinary student. Aside from his hobbies of playing games, he appears to not be hostile. In the gaming world, however, be is known as the number one reason why young students commit suicide. Armed with just words and anonymity, he collected the news of people dying without him ever having to move from his desk. The Academy found him and offered him a scholarship.

Souma (Gourmet Club Senpai) AH

Souma has a taste for rare and exquisite food. His reputation for using morbid ingredients made him unqualified as a young chef in the culinary industry. The Academy took this chance to recruit him, saying that there will be plenty of rare flesh to cook.

Wakatoshi (Delinquent Senpai) AH

Wakatoshi was protecting Izumi from being bullied due to his reputation. He accidentally killed someone in a fistfight and hence the same reputation as a murderer goes for him as for Izumi. He applied to the Academy hoping that Izumi does not have to do all of this alone.

Makoto (Basketball Captain Senpai) SK

Makoto received the scholarship due to his exceptional performance in all forms of evil: murde, assassination, manipulation, and even using his unique charisma to have people to kill for him. He plays basketball for fun and to establish friendship with fellow students.

Tokiya (Drama Club Senpai) AH

Tokiya protected someone from being killed by killing them. As a result, he was not accepted by any other school. Knowing that he cannot go back to the straight path, he decided he will protect the others by being the anti-hero.

Baa/Akira (Goat Senpai) AH

Akira uses his physical beauty to get people to do his bidding, however, it sometimes backfires to himself. Along with his weak physical ability, it made him fall into an inferior rank.

Soujiro (Calligraphy Club Senpai) O

Soujiro was an artist known for his calligraphy. In the black market, his paintings were sold by millions when made with the right amount of noble blood. He was personally invited to the academy for his family’s excellent reputation. As a young lord, it fitted to enter the prestigious Academy.

Souh (Butler Senpai) SK

As a butler, it was common to take orders without personal feelings nor remorse.  The Academy qualification was just a test for Souh to see how far he is willing to do for a future master. There is no flaw found in his technique, yet.

Touru (Student Council President) SK

For Touru, order was everything. He saw the world as something chaotic which went against his views of how the world should be. He knew that he was not strong enough just yet to get rid of the world’s impurities alone. That was the reason he applied for the Academy. His entrance score was beyond perfect. Not only did he kill the student council members, but he also killed his instructor for being lenient.

Hideki (Crammer Senpai) SK

Balancing teaching evil kids and working as a professional mercenary was hard, but Hideki managed to do both. His endurance became the reason why he was sought out to be a substitute teacher for the Academy. Not dying while being in class of murderers for years is his strong point. He likes cosplaying in his free time.

Suzuki (Idol Senpai) E

The idol Suzuki has no time for school. He had thought that maybe the Academy had the flexible timetable for him to balance being an idol and a student. He quickly passed the test when he announced he needed to kill someone to enter the Academy. Hundreds of his fans committed suicide for him.

Yamato (Rocker Senpai) E

Similar to Suzuki, Yamato also has the skills and charisma to have people die for him. His only difference was that his music style brought forth different methods. He did not announce his enrollment directly, but through his music, his fans understood his means and did it for him.

Kyouya (Sensei) former AH

Kyouya Sensei enrolled the Academy the same way Wakatoshi did. He managed to keep himself pure till the end and graduated by killing his (apparently) undead friend Viktor. He swore to protect students that encountered the same experience as him and made sure they graduate untraumatized. He applied to be a teacher to save his friend Haruka from his madness.

Takeru (Childhood Friend Senpai) AH

Takeru came to the Academy after being randomly chosen as the lucky participant. He did not know the school was notorious for their evil students. Since he got in anyway, he asked Makoto for help in making him graduate the insanely hard academy tests. Why Makoto helped him was a mystery.

Haruka (School Infirmary Senpai) former AH

Haruka had the same case as Izumi when he was in his younger days. To cope with school curriculum and demands, he used to take special lessons for students who are falling behind. His kindness resulted in denial of what he was capable of. By the end of school term, he changed. Haruka was now known as the doctor who puts all his patients in eternal sleep. His doctor title was revoked, but he still was given the right to practice in the Academy. He encourages weaker students to take his mind-numbing medicine just like what he did back then. No great student would ever dare to come to the infirmary.

Jéan (Playboy Senpai) E

Jéan’s method of killing is tinted with seduction. As one of the silent killer specialists, Jéan works best when he gets the chance to stab the person from the back or poison them after gaining their trust. His other specialties has to do with connections, especially obtaining information concerning females.

Ai (Cupid Senpai) AH

Ai’s method is slower than Jéan’s. Ai usually gains the person’s trust before breaking their heart and make them commit suicide on their own. Since his method is less efficient than Jéan, he was ranked low in class.

Hinata (Tea Ceremony Senpai) E

Hinata received an offer from the Academy for his family’s skill in poisons. Although he was a good killer, he still has a lot to learn regarding a different approach concerning killing methods as he tends to be too emotional. His family status and theory skills earn him the Enchanter rank.

Sousuke (Archery Team Senpai) SK

Sousuke received the same offer with Hinata. His skills in archery, however, brought him to a more physical-typed skill, therefore, giving him the Silent Killer rank. Often times, Hinata would work as a pair with Sousuke to make a quicker and more efficient kill.

Kei (Ninja Senpai) SK

Born in a family of silent killers, it is only natural for Kei to pursue the family’s tradition. Aside from the school demands, he also has to prove himself to be better than his graduated siblings.

Takahiro (Part Time Job Senpai) SK/E

Takahiro could instantly be an Overlord if he ever wanted to. His enthusiasm and passion brought him to start from the bottom and do the bidding instead of letting others do it for him. Sometimes, he casually ordered Souh to help him with his work, which was why the Academy placed him in a special rank which he can switch between two of the second ranks.

Katsuo (Swim Team Senpai) AH

Katsuo once let someone drown out of spite and jealousy. He regretted his decision for the rest of life. He went to the Academy hoping to graduate and to atone for his sin. Little did he know there would be so many challenges for him.

Ryuu (Villain Senpai) O

Ryuu came from a noble family. For his enrollment in the Academy, his family sacrificed a whole village in his name. Annoyed by people doing his bidding even when he did not want to or wanted to do it himself, he joined the Drama Club to practice his swordsmanship and killing abilities.

Kurou (Director Senpai) O

Kurou used the Drama Club members to do his bidding for him under the guise of art. He knew very well Ryuu wanted to be trained to kill and Tokiya wanted to be better at saving people, so he used both to kill those on his list. In the end, someone needs to give out the instructions.

Viktor (Vampire Sensei) former O

It was no surprise Viktor’s “genetic condition” lets him command an army of loyal subjects. As a student, he was once proud of his ability to create chaos and murder. He was toned down back then by Kyouya who happened to be his group partner. By the end of the term, Viktor went soft enough that Kyouya drove a stake through his heart. It does not matter much for him because a vampire must die once to unlock their true abilities. Kyouya graduated from the Academy and Viktor lives on being stronger than ever afterwards. In present time, he was called to become a teacher and role model to discuss mass murder methods and history.

Itsuki (Ghost Senpai) AH

Itsuki has a gaunt presence which leads to giving students heart attacks. His ability was credible enough to be accepted into the Academy but his unwillingness to kill granted him the lowest rank. He was personally given to Viktor to be tutored after class.

Jae (Breakdance Senpai) E

Jae teaches the necessary physical routines the students so that they can have the stamina and physical fitness they need in their line of work. Jae was once like Suzuki, specializing in distraction while the others killed them or put poison in their drinks. For Jae, collaboration in evil is as important as collaboration in good. He was one of the only teachers that encouraged group work for the students.

Seiichi (Robotics Club Senpai) SK

Seiichi was always given clean cut orders and alwas proceeds to execute them efficiently. His lack of emotions and monotone speech decrease his value and rank to a mid-rank Silent Killer. He prefers quick and clean ways when killing someone. His weapon of choice was a double shotgun or a sniper.

-First encounter:

    You watched enough anime, read enough manga and fan-fiction to get a ideal first encounter from the man of your dreams. Thoughts would swim in your head as you thought about how easily someone could meet the one.  Like a gamer could meet their match in a game chatroom or maybe a anime discussion forum?

    However you found found ‘him’ somewhere you thought you would never enter again….. gym class.

  Personally you just imagined the fact that you could be munching on snacks as you read the latest Voltron fan comic or doing something better than sweating and running. Yet, much like most things, the school board had to ruin that blissful moment. They thought it would be unfair for you not to get your fair share of a whole class period doing nothing but working out. 

    That’s not even the worst part, you couldn’t even take gym with the guys. Since you’re unable to change since the locker rooms are filled with teenage boys and other reasons that teachers seem to come up from. You’re forced in dance club. 

Luckily, you played enough Dance Dance Revolution and watched Yuri On Ice!!! twice, so you got this. Well, you thought you did.

  In the first meeting you went to, they were trying to randomly pair with the members to practice a dance routine.  Many of the members (Old or new) hoped to get paired with you. In the end, a  second year student was your partner. One that seems to be excited to get paired up with the cafe girl, but later terrified in the end after one round.

   So... maybe DDR isn't the best way to learn how to dance but just how to stomp on target when told to. Let’s say he won’t be walking if he dances with you again. 

       That wasn’t much for you and Jae to get to know each other but it lit a spark. One that began to burn as he spoke about you to Hideki after coming out of one of their classes. Jae would go on about how she stepped on the guy's foot and got so nervous when he yelped in pain. She apologized a million times as he assured her it was nothing. His face told everyone that wasn’t so.

    Hideki would laugh telling him if he thinks she's that bad then to give her private lessons for her to get better.  Jae just chuckled at that idea as he punched Hideki’s arm. Telling him she wasn’t bad, just a bit of a beginner to dance. Betting that she get way better in the next week of dance club.

-Interactions:

 Many interactions happen through dance club, since the only reason you keep going is to keep your grades up.  After some meetings, you got a bit better, you still fell when trying to do some moves. But instead of blushing red at your mistakes, you smiled. Brushing it off with a joke. Making Jae laugh as he helps you up.

 Jae soon gets to know the real you. The dorky nerd side of the girl that would step on people’s toes in dance practice.  Falling into a small crush for his student.

Later the attitude you and Jae had for each other would transfer in the cafe, which he came to more often with the more lessons you took. Sadly, his orders would always be to-go because of his busy schedule, but you would take this moment to write little jokes or drawing faces on his cup. Always making Jae smile.  

-Confession:

 When Jae said the words, “I like you”, you backed up for a minute. Which worried Jae to have that kind of reaction to his confession, later a sigh of relief paired with a small smile was painted on his face. Caused by the fact you asked if he was telling that to you or maybe a really hot ghost by you that you couldn’t see.

 The confession happened by the park after you met up with Jae outside of his band’s studio. They’re on break, but it doesn’t mean they don’t hang out or just practice for fun.  

 “Nope, I like you.” he said confidently this time. Only to get a small pit in his heart that quickly made him turn white if you didn’t say anything that was around the idea “I like you too,”.

 “Oh.” You huffed, tugging on your braid.

   “I guess I maybe- could have like a small. . . or huge thing for you too.” You blushed. Trying to hide your face with your hair.

  Jae couldn’t help but to find your behavior cute, he never saw your blush like this before.

 “Well,” He moved his arm around your shoulders. “I guess that maybe we could have like a thing for each other.”

“I guess we do.”

-First date/type of dates frequented:

As much as you think staying indoors, going out is quite a adventure, now that Jae would ask you to go somewhere with him wherever he has the chance. Dates in internet cafes, anywhere with wifi really, the café, even the mall where half of it is filled with pop culture shops. He always manages to buy that one tee you have your eye on since you came to the mall. Like seriously, you hadn't been near it the whole day and here he is handing it to you after looking at soaps in ‘Above the Home’ (The new ‘Hello’ collection smells wonderful, I may add).

 You guys always end your trip by heading over to the food court. Sharing a large order of cheese fries. In moments like this, they would often laugh about life and their interests. And memes. How could I forget about the memes?

FIRST KISS-

 Jae was about to pass out due to his nerves. Good nerves. Feeling giddy, like slowly cranking up a roller coaster kind of nerves. The simple kiss came quick and chaste. Then, with the realization that they’d done it. They shared a laugh. Both fumbling their hands as Jae was the one in shock as you couldn’t believe you had made the first move. Plus, not to mention the fact it was unexpected for both of them. For you, it happened due to the fact you noticed how close your faces were.  Later than moment would be ruined when one question floated in the air.

  “What was that?” Your eyebrows scrunched up, making you ask what he meant. He later explains if this was going to be a ‘thing’ now. Making you laugh. Later answering his question with another peck on the lips.

-Long term relationship:

 You were very ‘blush-ish’ at first.  Jae would tease you a bit because of this, wanting to lighten the mood. As time past you feel  more comfortable, letting cuddles and kisses get introduced to the relationship. You still have your fair share of fights but it just takes someone to say something funny to make it better. Or just someone pushed someone’s button in a way where they can’t help but burst into laughter.

You stopped going to dance club after a semester.  Since it was the maximum you needed to do for the rest of high school.  Jae couldn’t help but get bummed when hearing this news. Nevertheless that doesn't stop him from asking you to be his partner when he want to try a dance routine out. In return he would play a multiplayer player game with you. Making it worth your wild, as he picks the most stupid usernames. Getting to it little fits whenever he dies at an unfair point in the game.

Maybe even watching some of your shows with you, getting him struck in the plot. You caught him watching it late in night, telling you that he couldn’t stop now. You have to let him finish the fifth season at least before you tell him to go to sleep.

The relationship is a sweet friends to lovers kinda scene. People will think that you're just friends, only to be pushed off a cliff and drop down to a pool clarity when you tell them that that isn't the case.

  Tea packets. At one store in the crowded market there's a small shop that sells herbs and tea packets. The owner has their shelves stocked with tea that claims to do many things. Able to help the consumer deal with things that may trouble them.

  Lack of sleep, anxiety, and e.t.c.

 So whenever you go to the market, don’t forget to check that small store for some more teas and herbs.

-First encounter:

It’s been a busy day at the cafe. You’re trying your best to finish orders. Getting slowly overwhelmed with the crowd, but you pushed through. You just have to.

You’re a table away from a customer, then you feel a nudge on your shoulder. Pushing you down. Slipping and falling on your plate full of drinks.

  Your dress is soaked in warm coffee and iced tea. Even a slice of pie was crushed under your knees. You then quickly pulls out a towel from your apron, apologizing as you tried to clean up the mess.

People helped pick up some of the cups or plates. Some chipped, broken or saved from the fall.

That’s when the boy that pushed you on accident rushes down and helps. Telling you over and over it was his fault, telling you how sorry he is.

 You just shake off his nice words, mumbling some back to ease him. You rush up, collecting the rest of the dishes. Running off to the back to clean yourself up. Not before a brown-haired boy catches a glance at your face. Caught off guard on how fast you ran out, quitting the title of ‘center of the attention’.

Recognizing those same features from a girl he knew before as everyone picked on the guy that accidentally pushed you down. He couldn’t help but think of someone he used to know.

  The little girl that lived next door to him a few years before.

-Interactions:

Takeru will watch you a little closer after that accident. Offering help for the cafe or with anything really. Even told you that he could help with the after-school orders if he has time.

At first, you wonder why this upperclassman is being so nice to you. It isn’t until later he introduced himself. That’s when the questions that sat in the back of your head were answered.

                You always knew he looked familiar.

Whenever you thought about the boy next door from some years ago, you got a bittersweet taste, but that feeling became a mushy mess. Like mashed potatoes with a touch of something sweet.  Honey maybe.

You warmed up to him again, finding out that he’s still the same kid from before. Just with changes here and there. You slowly start letting him into your life again, meeting up to walk home after school or just stopping by the corner store.

  However, you can’t help but put some distance between you two. Takeru knows about your trust issues, so he can’t help a feel a little hurt that you have these feeling towards him now.

  Nevertheless, Takeru respects them. As much as he wants the old times back, he has to earn your friendship like he did before.  

     ~

On a day out with his aunt and cousins at the petting zoo, he sees a figure that looks like you. After some awkward investigation, he catches a glance of the stranger’s face. Knowing those features from anywhere, he knew it’s you.

He never thought he would encounter you here at the petting zoo.  He remembers would calm you were when you were around animals, always wanting to pet the nearby dog or cat you saw.    

  Then that’s when he remembered how you volunteer to get the community hours you needed for school. Plus, you had a little pin on your shirt that said so. Takeru tells himself he ought to go over and say hey. Before he could call out her name, he hears your voice first.   

Hearing your long conversation …… with the goat. However, as weird as that may sound it…..okay it does sound pretty weird, but it was a conversation that still flowed together. Even if one of them just answered with ‘baaaaaas’.

 You expressed your daily troubles. All the little worries that built up to a fear.  A huge fear that killed you every day.

  You weren’t always all sunshine and smiles, in the end, you were just a girl who has some trouble. Troubles that stopped you having peace of mind.

  Takeru couldn’t help, but feel terrible. He felt like a stranger.

 He has been gone for so long and everything just changed. Takeru felt like it was his fault for setting up ‘wonderful’ ideas and expectations without truly talking to you or learning more about you.  The new you, not the five- year old you.

  In a way, he felt that he has to help you in a small way.  It wasn’t his place to do so, but he just wanted one real smile from you. Not like simple ones that could be passed in the school’s hallways, but one that a generic. One that said, “I’m glad you’re here.”  

However, as Takeru makes this his new goal, he gets caught by you. Scaring him when you ask,

      “How long were you hiding behind that tree?”

-Confession:  

 “You’re the best thing since sliced bread.”

  The most “clever” line you wrote on a simple thank-you card. One that you had decided to write as you put together a little gift basket for Takeru. Just for everything he has done so far.   

  Lately, he has helped you with the cafe during after school hours if he wasn’t in tutoring with Touru. Washing the dishes or checking inventory for you. All to take a bit of stress off your shoulders and you felt like you had to show your gratitude for his actions.

  You stopped by his house to drop off the gift, ringing the doorbell only to see Takeru’s mother. Who smiled brightly. She jumped up with questions, asking in the end if you wanted to stay for dinner.

  You opened your mouth to say something before Takeru finally came in the picture. Saving you from his mother’s eagerness on having you here. Asking you why you came like this, is anything wrong?

  That was your cue to tell him the explanation of why you were on his doorstep unannounced like this. That’s when the card that was tied on the handle of the gift basket fell. Reaching for it, Takeru saw the writing inside. Reading it quickly before a small smile appeared on his face.   

    “You’re the best thing since sliced bread,” he quoted.

Gushing inside with joy as his cheek glowed softly while the sun shined brightly. Making your hair shimmer in light tones.

  “Dang, if that’s your way of telling me ‘I love you’ then I think you’re the best thing to happen since sliced bread too,” Takeru added. Taking his eyes off the thank-you card, looking back to you.

  Watching his face turn to an eggshell white when he asks, “I didn’t say that loud right?”

  And that, my children, is the story how our dear Takeru spilled the beans about his feelings. It also didn’t help when he was trying to explain what he meant by that after. Throwing out all his feeling about her and regretting it the moment they came out of his mouth.  In fear of being rejected.

  Only till you told him that to returned those same feeling for him.

-First date/type of dates frequented:

 Small dates in the cafe or out on the town. Hit up the local noodle shop for a quick meal before going in and checking out the art galleria.

  Dates depend on the weather. If it’s chilly or rainy then a puzzle and movie marathon are in order. Or if you guys want to take it slow, during November this types of dates are more common with all the essays deadlines or tests coming up in the school year.  Doing this all as the cafe’s pets are at their feet. Sleeping or so.

Dates that involves going outside are ones that can be to the gaming shop or to an animal cafe to check the animals out. Trying your best to resist the urge of adopting one.

THE FIRST KISS:  

   Your first kiss went something like this- awkward and messy.

  The first attempt ending up being the both of you bumping noses during a study date. Takeru making you laugh as he put in different terms in google translator. You found your old “Learn Any Language Fast and Quick” book. One that you remember getting a yard sale when you were young. Takeru was invited over to help prove this 10 or something year old book to be a scam. Or you could rule the world with learning a new language at record speed.

  Instead, he was here making you laugh. You told him to stop, but it just made it worst as your sides started to hurt.

You turn around to see Takeru’s face, then BAM! It happened, you’re so close at that moment and you just go for it.

Messing it up with your poor aim.

After a while of plain embarrassment, the both of you tried to pass it off with nervous laughter. You held back your fears as you decided to look past it. Reaching the book, going on to chapter 4.

Before Takeru took you chin and quickly pecking your lips. His cheeks dyed in harsh red color as he mumbles,

  “There. See that wasn’t that hard.”

-Long-term relationship:

  You were a bit distant in the beginning, ‘ghosting’ him when it came to texting up until a habit was built. Texting him back more and more than leaving him on read.

He helped you so much in the cafe that you even let him come in early to help with the baking. One time you forgot about the whole baking part and ended up having a dance party as you listened to the radio. Not hearing the doorbell go and ring as the door was opened.

Giving Takeru a view of what happens in the closed kitchen. Not helping to smile as you skipped, slid, and shaking your way around the kitchen. All while mixing up cookie batter. After you notice him in the room, you made him swear not to tell anyone about your dance moves.    

A new bond was created between you two. He supports you so much and the fact he’s straightforward with you is a perk at times. He just doesn’t want to let you slip through his fingers again. Letting you know how he feels and asking how you doing at the beginning and end of every day. Being there to talk.

The walks back home are pretty therapeutic, since the cold breezes and the smooth conversations can easily distress you.  Soon becoming the cure for some daily troubles, of course, you would still have those days, where getting out of bed will be tough. -But Takeru will be there, texting you, calling you. Telling you sweet words and dropping some advice about the situation. From things he read or just in his own options.

This relationship can have two sides. The classic romance novel or the anime brother and sister relationship.  Since with how much he cares and checks up on you, it’s almost like how a mama bear would be to her cubs.

He just really loves you. And he’s not afraid to show it. Unless you’re too embarrassed about it in public, then secret kisses are in order.

NMS Coffeeshop AU

Koumei is a young but notorious food critic that specializes in coffee. Her travels brought her to unexpected people making ridiculously unique coffee. Nevertheless, she always asked for the barista’s special after all!

Izumi (Nerd Senpai)

Recommended by a local paper, Koumei stumbled upon the Luien Cafe. The warm cozy vintage bookshop was told to be a small paradise to and for book readers everywhere. Koumei, herself was not an avid reader but she does like good coffee.

The coffee was surprisingly sweet for a coffee even without sugar. The barista proceeds to explain how he used lactose-free milk for the coffee as the customers were generally lactose intolerant. Koumei chatted with the barista, Izumi afterward regarding having a small interview to promote the café.

Yuu (Young Senpai)

The famous cutesy cafe in the Harajuku District was not new to review for Koumei. This one, in particular, was a company paid trip. They wanted her to interview the owner, Yuu-chan. She was expecting a cute and sweet dessert-like coffee special. Instead, she was given three pieces of coffee infused chocolate in shape of a cute bunny.

Koumei was impressed by Yuu’s creativity. Furthermore, she was amazed by the fact that the small child was older than her.

Ren (Lazy Senpai)

She did not come here because she wanted to. She just needed a quick coffee. That and it was only one coffee shop around. When she went to the register, there was a sleepy clerk pointing to the instant coffee machine telling that the other ones were broken.

Challenged by the notion, Koumei asked if the coffee wand was functioning. The clerk nodded. She asked him to heat up proper milk while she bought some espresso from the machine. He stopped her.

He lied. Then, proceeds to make the drink she wanted. Aside from horrible service, the coffee was good.

Touya (Art Club Senpai)

The cafe inside the art gallery was a run by the same artist who has a permanent work-space there. He said that making coffee was a artful activity actually boosts his creativity. The menu itself ranged minimalism. Only basic coffee was written there. Alas, the K.I.S. method, keep it simple. Only offered a flat white with a white mug, the artistic skill of the artist was shown.

Touya was overall timid, but his service was great. The mood of the art gallery reflects the small cafe. He also has high attention to detail in proof of the paintings he made with cream.

Hajime (School Festival Senpai)

There was a coffee bar on an occasional monthly festival in Kyoto. The barista, Hajime, grinds the coffee himself. Most people bought it not only for the show but because the famous one coffee menu (Hajime’s special) was incredibly good.

It was the classic long black. Condiments were put in tables of self-serve. The quick an easy mood of this monthly cafe brought regular visitors to the festival.

Reiji (Science Lab Senpai)

The cashier was surprised when Koumei asked for the barista special. The barista- named Reiji in his nametag- seemed to sparkle in excitement. It was quite a wait of fifteen minutes and a few explosions were heard from the coffee machine until the barista came back with… a purple coffee.

It was unknown what he put inside but the coffee named “Stardust” tasted out of this world. A second serving was not recommended due to a number of mysterious ingredients put inside.

Shun (Gamer Senpai)

The internet cafe run by a barista and gamer named Shun. Who serves quick and easy coffee. It was strong but the use of cold drip technique made it easier to acquire a great amount of coffee for gamers that needed no sleep for a while due to gaming competitions.

The cafe also serves a point system like in games to be exchanged with coffees and other prizes.

Souma (Gourmet Club Senpai)

Coffee can be purchased with a light meal. The barista and chef determine the coffee combination depending on the meals chosen. The chef, Souma said that coffee must be treated like wine. Hence, coffee recommendation comes with food choices.

Koumei ordered the strawberry crepe which later was given a white Vienna to contrast the acidity element of the strawberry with the softness of the whipped cream.

Wakatoshi (Delinquent Senpai)

Wakatoshi’s place offers a niche for coffee lovers. Wakatoshi, himself was not a chef nor a barista. He was merely Koumei’s friend who happens to have a simplistic coffee machine at home. His coffee was store bought but the atmosphere and kindness of Wakatoshi gave the coffee a unique flavor as it is.

If you happen to love coffee, ask Koumei for a tour to Wakatoshi’s house both for tea time or dinner. He cooks surprisingly well and hosts unforgettable dinners.

Makoto (Basketball Captain Senpai)

This full-time athlete works as a barista on weekends. The cafe quality itself depended on who is making the coffee. But if one comes on a weekend night, especially when a barista named Makoto was serving, it could be assured that your dinner will be on point.

Aside from coffee making skills, it was easy to strike a conversation with this smart and friendly cafe personnel. Come have dinner when Makoto is on for a lovely dining experience.

Tokiya (Drama Club Senpai)

Koumei received an opportunity to go backstage on one of the best theatrical play in the city. The theater has an inside joke that the leading actor must also be assigned to caffeinated duty. Here, Koumei meet Tokiya. The princely leading actor and barista on duty prepared the perfect cappuccino for her.

Although chocolate powder stencil work was regarded as a cheating method among baristas, still, making a hundred excellent coffee in half an hour break was an impressive feat.

Baa/Akira (Goat Senpai)

Akira’s farm grew organic coffee. Roasted and blended skillfully by a passionate and humble young man named Akira. He also owns a small coffee packaging workshop. A tour of his workshop shows how carefully crafted each coffee that came from his farm.

Akira specializes in coffee cream and coffee shots. A unique taste for the milk-based coffee comes from the blend mixed with goat’s milk instead of the usual cow’s milk.

Soujiro (Calligraphy Club Senpai)

The award winning artist, Soujiro also has a remarkable career in as a latte artist. He won many latte art competitions, sharing his skills with the world in his part-time cafe joined with cousins who also won many awards for their cafe skills and performance.

To be served by one of three owners of this traditional coffee house was once in a lifetime experience. Tables must be booked beforehand or received a VIP invite.

Souh (Butler Senpai)

It was not hard to find the hardworking hotel manager in his hotel chains. You can see his front end, back end, in the bar, cafe machine, cleaning, laundry, even foyer. His coffee was always excellent and boosted with exceptional service, it was an experience to come over and over to his renown hotel.

A tip of experience will be to have a chat after his long day of work. Just sitting down casually on the sofa with coffee mugs in hand, looking at Souh in his non-casual outfit while discussing small matters.

Touru (Student Council President)

This self run fast-paced cafe was quick and efficient. Having only two staff maximum, coffee was served on takeaways and there are minimum seating space available.

Located on the business district of Bishounen street, the manager Touru always have work in hand whether it is cleaning, serving or coffee making. Challenge him to a ten second latte making and you will be surprised he did it in five. A bonus when he smiled at you while wishing you a nice day. That smile made you came back for more.

Hideki (Crammer Senpai)

This unique cafe offers swirly stencils on their cappuccino. The otaku-themed internet cafe was a big hit on pop culture fans. Aside from their uniquely presented coffee, they also have a high speed computers for gaming, a comic corner and hot spots for downloading games and watching anime.

To avoid coffee to electronic spillage, the coffees were served in a one of a kind non-spill cup. Fancy, no?

Sousuke (Archery Team Senpai)

The archery athlete runs a joint cafe with his brother and cousin. Soujiro always decorates the coffee but Sousuke was the ones behind the counter making the perfect coffee shots.

He also gives advises of the sweets recommended with each coffee. They have a selection of Japanese Wagashi, dangos and red bean buns.

Kei (Ninja Senpai)

Kei runs a unique coffee shop. Either the coffee comes for free after you read a random ad from the nearby bush, or you get discounts after you mentioned an ad to the ninja working behind the counter.

The “bush cafe” appears at random times in random moments. So check your nearby bush for free coffee or find the nearest ninja barista. Mention this ad for an 80% discount on your coffee.

Takahiro (Part Time Job Senpai)

He was here. He was there. He was everywhere. It was a fun game to play when you try to drink coffee in the Okane cafe chains. There will be this one barista who was secretly the owner that makes a coffee that is out of this world. Try a sip, and all coffee from the Okane cafe tasted different in comparison.

The owner of the chains, Takahiro works part time here and there at all three hundred cafe chains. You can see him behind the counter, smiling and offering your coffee with joy but the fun part was to distinguish the coffee when you sipped it. You will know Takahiro made it.

Katsuo (Swim Team Senpai)

Katsuo runs a seaside shack serving cold drinks. Not limited to coffee, the shack also serves smoothies and protein shakes.

Sometimes you can find Katsuo swimming or surfing in the seaside beaches as well.  And if you’re lucky enough you could get a swim lesson from this Brazilian descendant.

Ryuu (Villain Senpai)

Koumei went to the cafe beside inside the theater in hope to find Tokiya. Instead, the rude, unfriendly staff who was put in place of Tokiya was… Ryuu. He denies everyone who asked for coffee and tells them to go away. Angered, Koumei demanded him to step off the coffee machine and for her to make her own coffee.

After a long argument that resulted in the theater director’s interference, they apparently ran out of milk. The second time Koumei went into the café, Ryuu offered her a latte. It was a surprise for Koumei that Ryuu was really good at free-pouring. His latte art specialty was the dragon.

Kurou (Director Senpai)

The director makes coffee at a particularly good day. A day of a successful play where the main lead and villain did not actually kill each other off-stage for once.

Kurou’s coffee was a middle between Tokiya’s cappuccino and Ryuu’s latte. A special extravagant coffee after a good and tiring day, a white Vienna!

Viktor (Vampire Sensei)

Similar to Reiji’s “stardust”, Viktor comes to the Ikemen Academy cafe once a month to bestow a special drink. Nobody knows what made a coffee tinted bloody red, but the playful bat straws and Viktor’s rowdy nature brought some loyal customers to come a have the red coffee again and again.

All that was known was one a month the cafe opens till midnight. Kyouya was always helping him “in case something bad happens”. If you like the thrills of a midnight cafe, be sure to visit at the end of the month.

Itsuki (Ghost Senpai)

The same date the cafe opens at midnight, Kyouya was not making coffee. The coffee just appears out of nowhere and sometimes, a flash of white appears and disappears.

It took Koumei a few courageous visits to finally knew the man behind the delicious and cute ghost lattes. Itsuki was brought by Viktor to help him out on the monthly cafe. If Itsuki was not helping Viktor out, he could be seen probably at the local flower shop near the bushes.

Jae (Breakdance Senpai)

Jae casually helps out Hideki on the otaku cafe. The coffee he made was as superb as his performance while pouring the coffee.

His fans come from near and far to see him dance as he poured the milk into the mugs. If you are lucky, you can see him break dance while making and or serving your coffee.

Seiichi (Robotics Club Senpai)

Seiichi works with Touru on the busy cafe. Usually, he was on the register or handling the bookkeeping. When it gets ridiculously busy, we can see both him and Touru in sync on the coffee machine. It was a sight to see both of them working together. There will be rows and rows of coffee made by Touru and Seiichi poured the milk.

For some reason, the amount of milk, froth, and style of the coffee looks exactly the same. This exact consistency made Seiichi has the rumors that he was, in fact, a robot.

Suzuki (Idol Senpai)

This idol attempted cafe work for a show he starred in. The show featured idols trying out menial work and low waged jobs.

Suzuki was placed under a busy cafe run by a big franchise chain. Koumei was one of the guest judges at that time. For an idol, his coffee was superb. Sadly he was only a barista for a short period of time.

Yamato (Rocker Senpai)

As someone with an active lifestyle, Yamato started as a coffee enthusiast before trying to make his own coffee brew which gives more energy than regular coffee. He kept his profile low when he found the best way to utilize the energy drinks and coffee mix without having the horrible side effects of both.

His special brew was publicly commercialized but if you have the chance to visit his occasional pop-up cafe, do so. It is a great chance to be served by the popular rocker and barista.

Kyouya (Sensei)

If you want coffee that brings you back to your sweet school days, come to Ikemen Academy and request a coffee to be made by Kyouya-sensei. If you happen to be alumni of Ikemen Academy, you should know how bittersweet the coffee tasted.

The taste of staying up all night for a school project or school festival, the teachers rounded up to brew you coffee to encourage you to go on. A sweet simple mug of long black with two cubes of sugars made by your teacher. It was a taste to be revel in.

Takeru (Childhood Friend Senpai)

Koumei’s own joined cafe must have made the list of best cafe, but here we focus on the other barista behind the counter. Takeru who specializes in cute latte mainly made in the shape of bears.

The exceptionally fluffy composition and gentle smile of Takeru always made customers come back for more. If you are not a fan of coffee, ask Takeru for his brown bear specialty which is a fluffy hot chocolate made with the best chocolate milk.

Haruka (School Infirmary Senpai)

Did we forget to mention Ikemen Academy’s third-year cafe also serves cakes?

By the request of Haruka-sensei, this cafe has thirty different types of cakes to satisfy your sweet tooth. Every purchase of cake comes with a free coffee made by either Kyouya-sensei or Haruka-sensei. Haruka serves white coffee while Kyouya serves black coffee.

Every purchase of cake also comes with Haruka's smile and a gentle reminder to brush your teeth twice a day and floss.

Jéan (Playboy Senpai)

Cointreau latte, rose scented black coffee, any coffee for a special date, come to Jéan’s. This upper-class cafe serves liquor coffee with hundreds of alcohol selection.

The dark and seductive mood, boosted with the scent of roses and chocolates makes the cafe a perfect place for romantic get together with your loved ones. There is also an outdoor area if a more open and lighter type of date was preferred. Jéan also has a few private suites in his cafe for a special romantic experience. Bookings required for private suites, a bottle of classic house wine included.

Ai (Cupid Senpai)

Heart shaped chocolate filled with coffee liquor. That is what Ai’s confectionery store offers in a nutshell. Aside the heart-shaped treats, the small cafe beside the chocolate shop offers melted chocolate treats such as fondue and churros.

Try the white chocolate mocha from the menu which is Ai’s secret specialty. The mocha is best paired with the dark chocolate croissant.

Hinata (Tea Ceremony Senpai)

Liquor coffee is a unique delicacy, yet a mix of tea and coffee is a rare delight. To be able to have the equal amount of tea and coffee, the tarty taste of tea that is not overpowered by the coffee shot requires a great amount of skill.

Master of Tea Ceremonies, Hinata was one of the Tea artists known to qualify in making the best tea and coffee combination. While keeping books of the joined cafe with his brother and cousin, his specialty coffee was another one that the fans were looking forward to having.

Hello. I found this blog via the directory that was created and I can't help but find an uncanny resemblence this blog has to @notice-mesenpai's blog, almost as if this were a copy of them. I was wondering if you guys were aware of it? Specifcally talking, it's the matchups that bares the most resemblence. Their format is already unique; not many fandoms draw and use the same format as what they did.

   Hey, yeah not going to lie- we did look lot like @notice-mesenpai . Sorry that it seems like we are coping but that wasn't what we wanted. Heck, we're not supposed to be BLOG! Yet, we're here. The whole thing started when one of our friends, the leader of this blog, wanted to do their own match-ups. With time after doing couple match-ups, we talked about starting more projects to the point - we made @nmshostclub​- a blog dedicated to our love for the app!! Where we post stuff that we created about out favorite boys as acting as the Ikemen Student Body Council.  

 When we were doing our match ups in discord, @notice-mesenpai uploading theirs's on tumblr. We did change our's a bit after that since we really liked the outline they had. Like adding whole drawing introduction. Not going to lie, that was a nice touch. 

   -And when we did that, we added more to our match-ups so we wouldn't be a copy compared to them. Since the worse thing that can happen to someone when you start something is someone else copying it completely. 

 Guys, we don't want to be copy. All we want is somewhere to post and appreciate the app that brought us -a group of strangers that are from different parts of the world who enjoy collecting boys on a app. 

And to @notice-mesenpai , hope we’re on good terms and cleared the air about this if you guys were wondering about us. We get this question at times and never answered it since we always thought it wouldn't be worth to, since people would always twist your words to mean something else.

Star Story goes to Ikemen by Shinobu Akamatsu

Recently, the long acclaimed Student Story Anthology, where high school students all around Japan send their short stories in hope that it would make the cut, has published its 7th volume. As always, they have published the best short stories submitted. However, nothing gets as much attention as the star story. The main feature of the anthology shows off the best of what student can do, so the position is very much sought after. Whoever writes the story that manages to snatch this opputition also gets a prize for their contribution. And it just so happens that this volume’s star story comes from our very own school! Izumi Amachi, a third year in class 3-C, submitted a last-minute entry called ‘Hypocrisy’ to the Anthology and was chosen as the star story. Aside from a cash prize of 15,000 yen, he has garnered a large amount of attention for it and we’re here to give you his thoughts on the matter. --- Shinobu: Good afternoon, Izumi-senpai. How have you been? Izumi: I’ve been pretty good! I’m still amazed at everything that’s happened. Shinobu: I’m glad to hear that, Senpai! Anyway, have you ever anticipated that your story would become the anthology’s feature? Izumi: I hadn’t. To be honest, I didn’t even think of the anthology when I was writing it. It was only when I was talking to my friend, Wakatoshi-kun, that the thought came to mind. Even then, it still took some coaxing from him to convince me to submit it. Shinobu: Really? I heard that your story fitted really well with the overall theme of duality in the volume. Could you tell us what your entry was about? Izumi: Hypocrisy is about a man who quite stubborn within his beliefs, but somehow managed to befriend someone who is the absolute antithesis of his views, his polar opposite. The story detail of how his relationship with the other affected his life and his line of thinking. His beliefs, his pride, his integrity, all of it had come under question until he can come to terms with it. Shinobu: That’s quite an interesting premise. What inspired you to write the piece? Izumi: I would have to say that all the different people in the third year and how they interact with each other gave me the ideas for the story. Take Suzuki-san and Yamato-san for example. They work with very different music genres and style, and their personalities are near-opposites, but they’re still really good friends. Even my friendship with Wakatoshi-kun would come as a surprise to most people, and it’s that dynamic that gave so much material to work with my story. Shinobu: It’s nice to hear that our school helped inspire you. Are there any other pieces of yours that you believe would’ve been published? Izumi: Ah, I’m not really sure. This was the first time I’ve done something like (submitting a piece for publication) and I’m not sure if anything I’ve previously written would be up to quality. I suppose I do have some other work I’m proud of. I have a series of short poems I make in my free time as practice, and I think some of them are better than the others. There’s also the first novel I wrote when I first came to the school. I mean, it’s nothing special. It was about a child who lived a double life in his dreams and there’s certainly a lot left to be desired from it, but it was the first time I completed one. So I'm really proud of what I’ve accomplished. Shinobu: Wow, Senpai. That’s a lot. How come we’ve never seen any of your works until recently? Izumi: I was really self-conscious about showing my works. I’ve only let a few people read them. Shinobu: Ah. In any case, can we expect more writing from you?Izumi: I can’t promise that I’ll show everything, but I assure you that I have a plan and that I won't stop writing.

Drama Club tells their Story through Play by Ichiya Kurafodo

The school’s Drama club will soon launch their newest play, one more personal than any they’ve previously done. The Ikemen Drama Club has always been prolific in the production of various plays over the years, ranging from classic European fairy tales to traditional Kabuki, to modern contemporary. Each one has always been delivered skillfully by the members with the production value that could rival Broadway. Ryuu Kurokawa, the president of the Drama Club, said that he strives to push the boundaries of what the club can be capable of, that each play must strive to outdo the previous one. Kurokawa added that the lineup of play as of late has mostly been set within European aristocracy and the medieval period. Saying that many of the plot lines and ideas were borrowed from fairy tales and classic literature. Such as Rapunzel and Romeo and Juliet. “For a while, there was a surge of productions that were similar to each other. Same setting, same story line, same concept, even. That’s unacceptable! I can’t believe we let a string of monotony happen,” said Kurokawa. Kurou Ryuzaki, Vice president of the Drama Club, said he had written the newest script in hopes to steer away from their usual focus to tackle subjects that rarely explored in their plays and emphasize the subtler, more personal moments in a story. In a way, Ryuzaki took the Drama Club’s current predicament as his muse, according to him. He hopes that it can make up for all the previous plays and leave the audience with more to think about. “With our newest production, Fragility, we tried to incorporate many of our weakness into the play. We want to be able to push ourselves to be better than our old selves. We want to be able to give our audience our blood, sweat, and tears to let them know that we’re not a one-trick pony,” said Ryuzaki. According to Ryuzaki, Fragility takes the story of a famous musician who is struggling with inspiration. The play would focus more on the quieter moments between the musician and his barista friend, who later becomes his muse.  He adds that compared to the more intense, action-oriented plays the club had been doing previously, the new title stands out. Not with the promise of a passionate climax, but a moving journey of the mind plagued with doubt, anxiety, and dissonance. The Drama Club hopes that the production would serve as a good look into the mindset of Japanese society. Its expectations on individuals, and the stress it can cause. Plus, the public’s mob mentality, as well as the hidden sides of a person and how they would act accordingly. Fragility is scheduled to be released in fall this year. Most of the preparations for the play have been completed and they’re all set with the cast led by Tokiya Utsunomiya as Sora Shion, a famous musician who’s come under fire for his inactivity; Ai Sasaki as Yanagi Takada, his stern, but reasonable manager; and lastly, Kohai Ito (a new addition to the Drama Club Cast) as Hana Misaki.
