so anyways SJMs husbands name is Josh Wasserman. I found his LinkedIn. He's some co-owner of a development group. He was the President of Hillel while at Hamilton College, which is staunchly zionist

on top of this he was a 'Development Assosicate' for Friends' Central School, a quaker school
two teachers got suspended for inviting a Palestinian woman to speak at the school. The invite was also revoked

Incredibly drawn. You nailed so many different emotions and atmosphere.
Also insane that the fandom romanticizes this scene so much. I worry for people.
He had me dance until I was sick, and once I was done retching, told me to begin dancing again.

I hate this man so much and nothing written will undo that.
In Acomaf chapter 58 Cassian says “she doesn’t seem to care about anybody but Elain” when talking about Nesta.
Literally ONE chapter earlier Nesta was crying “tears of rage and despair” for all the people on the island that would lose there lives if Hybern got to the human lands. She even calculated how many ships they would need to save everyone and was begging the queens for help. Keep in mind Cassian was the one wiping away these “tear of rage and despair” and promising to help her people.

I think even SJM tricked herself into believing Tamlin's the bad guy with how hard she told us we should hate him and love Rhysand.
But she couldn't really write it properly if you read what actually happened in the books.
“tamlins a bad guy cz he sided with hybern” and rhys sided with amarantha, lets talk about THAT.
tamlins harmed not a single soul with his double cross, rhys murdered and tortured thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of fae.
tamlins double cross lasted a few weeks, rhys’s lasted 50 years.
tamlins double cross acc ended up saving the entirety of prythian, rhys’s barely saved one city.
tamlins double cross won them the War, rhys’s won himself a lifetime of trauma and the hatred of every other court
tamlins double cross is seen as horrific by the fandom, rhys’s is seen as heroic

If Magic Chooses-
So we know the magic in Prythian ties the land, Courts, and the High Lords and can be vaguely sentient (as with the Cauldron).
It's unclear how it chooses the High Lords but the magic seems to be deliberate and adheres faithfully to whoever it chooses. Even Amarantha couldn't fully access it despite all that she did - she could only prevent the Lords from using it against her.
So imagine if this was explored.
E.g: The time when Feyre and the IC stole the Book of Breathings from the Summer Court as guests - literally committing a crime worthy of a magical death sentence. This then left the Summer Court open to Hybern's invasion, further enabled by what Feyre did in the Spring Court.
This didn't just harm the High Lords. It harmed the Courts in a major way. The very land and the people living in there were devastated by it. And it must have caused mass turmoil that even the magic sensed.
So imagine because of this intricate connection to the land, the people and the High Lords - it caused Feyre's bond to the Spring and Summer magic to become hard to control or even the magic rejecting her.
The kernels of magic are technically still the High Lords'. They're not Feyre's magic but were gifted like handing her a scale off their essence. And it would make sense if the magic reacted to the state of the High Lords (and deeper the courts themselves) if they experienced deep, visceral emotions & damage thanks to Feyre.
Magic being fickle about who wields it would sort of suit the capriciousness of Faeries. It would also require Feyre to use her wits and sense to navigate situations instead of resorting to the Feysand tactics of Lie, Steal and Justify.
It would give actual consequences and gravity to her actions, and add depth to why her being a Made Fae is a big deal. She is now attached via these kernels of magic to the land in a way that she can't run from. Just as High Lords (even those reluctant like Tamlin are).
Just the plot potential and character development. And the internal conflict over actions that we never got.

Forget bitter. I would probably be mad from the grief and be out for her and Riceman's blood. Imagine losing everything and everyone you love when you thought you finally could see hope after 50 torturous years because of Feyre's personal vendetta that had nothing to do with you.
Side note: I think about Andras and if he had any family out there who saw all of this go down.
considering Tamlin was beloved of his people and it required Feyre getting in their heads to make them revolt against him to make the Court fall, I have to wonder how the average Spring Court citizen feels about Feyre, who caused a bloodbath and also destabilized their home, and Rhys, who keeps trespassing into their home and has left mutilated bodies on Tamlins lawn and happens to have his super duper evil mask
the human girl who saved them all came to destroy their home and got many innocent people killed like :/ I'd be bitter

The fandom's and narrative's lack of critical thinking skills and erasure/cherry picking of things that ACTUALLY happened in the books is my villain origin story.

Louder for the people in the back.
Still trying to figure out how playing a whore, using an abuse victim, committing war crimes, theft from a decent dude who was willing to hear you out, and burning your best friend's mother qualifies as girl boss but I'm not SJM so

Every time I see posts like this, I despair at the lost potential of what could have been.
At least there's always fanfiction.
Man, maybe it's my age, but I am so in the mood for an Acotar where Feyre and Tamlin are in love with each other, are happy together, but! Feyre is slowly succumbing to the mate bond with Rhysand. The *angst*. The *guilty longing*. The way Tamlin would understand the inevitability of his love slipping away from him. Would they hold on tighter knowing that their relationship will end? Would Tamlin let her go bc he's been raised to respect the sacrality of the bond? Would Rhysand come in guns blazing to steal her or be all sad emo boy about it? (Sjm tried to assign him with both so who knows which is true). Would satisfying the bond erase her feelings for Tamlin? Or would it just stop the incessant pulling and then she's left with being in love with a man she can't have and married to one she barely knows?
Someone write this for me. I want it to make me sick. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
