Part 1

I couldn’t stand the suspense so here is the rest of the comic.

But this already went to print, so I probably will not fix it. Please just put on your “blind to bad grammar” sunglasses and pretend you don’t see the error. 

This is… basically everything I had in my zine BUT. we will still be selling it at Otakuthon, Fan Expo Toronto, and Anime Revolution.  Please come take a looksee!  And if you do I will tell you all about the shape that I was so excited about that tumblr won’t let me post.

First of all, I am so mad that Tumblr only let me upload 10 pages.  I just want to upload ONE MORE PAGE, TUMBLR. JUST ONE MORE.

So, bisouette will be selling this zine at Otakuthon (Aug 22) and Fan Expo (??? When is this), and I will also be at Anime Revolution (Aug 22, table 49 in the artist alley.) 

Secondly, I am so super sad Tumblr won’t let me post about the geometric shape I made for the zine that I might make a separate post for it. 

Thirdly, this comic is too long for one post so I will make a follow up post with the rest of the comic soon-ish!  

Oh, because I am ace at thinking up thinky thoughts before writing them down, of course I have this all backwards. This is the comic I made for this zine  I worked on with Bisouette.  It’s basically 50% her, 50% me. I’m going to post the entire comic online at one point or another, but we would still love it if you supported us and bought the zine.  We worked so hard on the cover!

star trek high school au aesthetics:

spock: total emo, wears black sweaters, eyeliner and torn jeans all year round, always seen wearing a beanie and everyone thinks he has cancer (since he's so thin and pale and has strangely shiny black hair), so he embraces that shit and goes for the full dark prince get up and it's glorious

bones: biker babe, wears steel toe boots, skinny jeans, and leather jackets like a second skin, always seen with a toothpick between his teeth, a permanent sneer on his lips and a crease upon his brow, ultimate bad boy with a golden heart, carries a flask in his jacket pocket "just in case", will charm your pants off within five minutes of meeting him

kirk: lives in flannel and obscure band t-shirts, patented oversized hipster glasses, the nerd quoting 19th century poets like it's no thing in the hallway, has too many bruises to count and knows the school nurse and the principal by first name, will flirt indiscriminately with anything that moves, do not take him home to meet your parents, he will embarrass you no matter what

uhura: fucking fashion magnet and beauty queen, can kick your ass without getting a hair out of place, absolute genius and is ruthless when you underestimate her skill and knowledge, track star, class president, early admission to harvard, need I go on???? she's a goddess on earth, kneel before her feet

scotty: that nerd you go to for physics help because he is literally building a spaceship in his basement from shit in the scrap yard and old computers, can hack anything, only wears t-shirts that reference 80's culture, somewhat of a conspiracy nut and will definitely tell you about that time he met Bigfoot if you get him drunk enough

sulu: founding member of the school's gsa, legendary state fencing champion, wears tailored suits wherever he goes, fancy is his theme song, likes to drag race on the weekends, has multiple speeding tickets and doesn't give a shit, says "gucci" unironically, has ten sets of driving gloves

chekov: literal ball of sunshine, does the Naurto run down the hallways when he is excited, can do no wrong, too pure for this world, is that friend your parents like better than you, trips over his own feet, wears crop tops and booty shorts, has embarrassing and endearing russian nicknames for all his friends, will adopt every animal in the pet store

jaylah: can deadlift you without breaking a sweat, mixed martial arts master, started her own garage band at the tender age of 13, has had the nickname banshee since 1st grade, the mom friend, knows the inside of a car like the back of her hand, wears cargo pants even though they've been out of style for years, when asked why she just pulls out some snacks from one of her many pockets and offers it to you with a knowing smirk

Spock: No.

Bones: Well, apparently, it’s less painful if you acknowledge the dumpee’s feelings.

Spock: Ew. 

Bones: But don’t worry, we’ll practice. I’ll be Jim. Go.

Spock: Ahem. Kirk. I think we should break up.

Bones: That makes me feel sad. I’m sad.

Spock: Your sadness is noted.

Bones: I feel acknowledged. Thank you for breaking up with me. It will take me eight minutes to collect my things… 

Bones: I think that went very well.

I- I just can’t get over Zuko and his arc. Everything he did - everything - was out of this insane drive to prove everyone wrong, to prove that he was worth something, and it amazes me that he never realized just how valuable he already was. 

His sister tells him ‘You waste all your time playing with knives. You’re not even good!’ and he masters dual swords.

His sister is a prodigy and he’s told he’ll never catch up. He learns from dragons. He trains the Avatar. He takes her down (with the help of a very skilled waterbender)

He’s left behind by his mother, cast out by his father, hunted by his sister, and Zuko still learns unconditional love. 

His father tells him he’s worthless and unloved, that he was ‘lucky to be born,’ and he becomes a man that the world is proud of. 

Anything his family said to him, he managed to turn around and build on it. He thrived on it, exploded from it, turned all the negativity into a positive path and it’s just… it’s amazing.

There’s just no end to my love for this character. No fucking end. 

Bonus: The weak, banished prince has fangirls for all the ages. Take that, Ozai.
