OKAY I LITERALLY MADE THIS BLOG TO ASK THIS QUESTION:

In episode 1 season 1, Jack literally knows that Will is tizzy and uncomfortable with being social right?

AND YET, AND YET!!! Jack has the audacity to ADJUST Wills glasses on their literal 2nd meeting?!

If I was Will (or any sane person for that matter) and someone I barely knew, reached out and tried to touch my face I would straight up karate chop his arm.

I think this captures the overall premise pretty well, what do you think:

"He’s lived here for less than two years, yes, but in all that time—twice daily walks up to five miles from his home, not once has he encountered another person. Neither does Hannibal fit the oversimplified category of: another person. 

No, he’s a phenomenon. Everything about him was eldritch, or—him being here. He’d fit bespoke in the upper crust. Socialite, of import, chronically white-collar. Despite the stray’s acknowledgement of his existence, Will convinces himself it was a hallucination. It’s not impossible that his dog’s reactiveness wasn’t another conjuring of his irreparable psyche, and that means he’ll have to talk on the phone. He’ll have to tell his psychiatrist all about his imagining a handsome, well-spoken sophisticate in the middle of the goddamn woods, and Gods, the questions that’s sure to invite. 

“William, it sounds like this prolonged isolation is taking its toll. This could be your subconscious’ cry for human connection. Sexual repression, especially, won’t help matters. Have you ever touched dicks with another man? You know, there’s all sorts of apps these days—”

Written off as delirium, Will’s feeling settled by the time the porch groans underfoot. He’s much, much more content being insane than the alternative—having a neighbor."
