me: please do not go so hard on this little emotional poem you intend to show to friends and family
also me, at 2am on copious amounts of benadryl: I am the blossoming branches of hatred and rejection like maggots finding the jagged trails of rotting flesh your father left behind
just had the weirdest interaction. this off-leash Yorkshire Terrier wobbled up to sniff my ankle, and then its owner said “the vet wanted to euthanize her”
and I was like “……oh”
and she said “4 years ago. she had a stroke, but I went to church and prayed to the Virgin Mary, and now she can walk again. but sometimes she drops, which is why I have this stroller”
and I was like “oh, okay.” I didn't know what to say after that, so I was just like "it's a cool dog" and kept walking
This is about the BTD/Boyfriend to Death/TPOF tags.
If you don't know me, I'm the person who works on these games.
Over the past couple days I've seen a some posts in the tags that are basically angry walls of text from people in the community who are mad at other people in the community for either enjoying my content in a way they don't like or angry at the posts.
I do not want to see our vulnerable community fall into fandom chaos!
My work is meant to be enjoyed however you like. I make my games open ended and full of choices for a reason. I provide a seed for a fantasy and you get to grow it in your own way.
People who consume my work put their own experiences and desires into it. Everyone who consumes my work sees it differently. I am very proud of this! It brings me so much joy! Our diversity is our strength!
Maybe people want my stories to end with the characters finding help and getting healed and living in fluffy bliss. Maybe they want nothing but torture and chainsaws. Maybe they want their self insert to peg everybody. These are all valid!!!
These are my personal desires for our community:
If you hate the way other people enjoy my content, keep it to yourself
If you feel the need to jump into an argument, simply block/ignore instead
Support other artists instead of tearing them down
