I've been thinking lately about Fi and Ghirahim from Skyward Sword and it left me wondering… what would it look like if some of the other swords from the Zelda series had spirits inside them?

This led to my character design of the Phantom Sword from Phantom Hourglass! They ended up with a very jester-esqe appearance but tbh I'm not mad about it.

Diomedes

It's been a while but I finally wrote another mythology poem! Nothing super deep this time, just a retelling of my favorite part of The Iliad. Diomedes is the best, I just had to write something about him.

How great was the strength of the skilled Diomedes Who battled immortals as though they were man. Athena had told him, "I'm here should you need me" And not to back down when his spear was in hand.

Up high on Olympus sat fair Aphrodite Her eyes drifting low o'er the battle she sparked. When to her surprise, Diomedes the mighty Set sights on her son and would not miss his mark. She had to get down there, she had to go save him! For one such as she it'd be simple to do. And so she flew over, not scared in the slightest- at least til' the moment her hand was speared through.

Run goddess, run, he is vengeful and angry Stay not for you son for he's not holding back. Abandon this battle or suffer, dear lady- this soldier posseses the prowess you lack.

Now while she was weeping came graceful Apollo He heard of her plight and chose swiftly to act. He scooped up her son while the warrior followed Within only moments there came an attack. Through close flying spear throws he warned Diomedes- "Choose wisely your battles, or be met with grief" And so he escaped by the straps of his sandals, and all he could feel was a sense of relief.

Apollo, please hurry, and don't let him strike you Escape through the barest of breaths and your words. Count yourself lucky that you could convince him, and that in his wisdom your bargain was heard.

The conquerer Ares was deep in the conflict He laughed as the Argives all fled from his path. Between his sheer pow'r and the blood that his spear dripped He was sure that no mortal would dare face his wrath. Then swift and unwavering charged Diomedes, as straight into battle his horses he spurred. He called on Athena to help guide his spearhead, and through Ares' stomach it pierced undeterred.

Flee war god, flee, he will not be defeated. Crawl back to your father and weep for your pride. You never imagined that someone would face you, and now a reminder stays scarred on your side.

How great was the strength of the skilled Diomedes Who courage unwavering challenged the fates. The gods that he faced are left licking their wounds While he lives on in legend- the spear-famed, the great.

Imma be honest, I wasn't sure if I was gonna make this drawing. I was worried it would seem like I was to profit off of the movie's hype and popularity. But the movie was actually so good and I felt so inspired that I had to do it! Rumi may be the most relatable, but I absolutely love Mira's design and personality. She's amazing 😭

I recently got an amazing haircut which, competly unintentionally, happens to look very similiar to my artist persona's hair. That in turn inspired me to draw us side by side. I usually can't draw myself but it seems a chibi style is the exception to the rule.

Got bored, decided to doodle my bedroom to practice backgrounds and sight drawing. Please note that I wasn't wearing my glasses when I drew this, so most of the little details were based on memory and vague blobs. Also ignore the plushies lol.

Just finished another request! Somebody wanted to see a Fierce Deity Link with a more Zonai appearance, so that's what I did. I love the end result, although the background was kinda just me drawing rocks bc I didn't know what else to do.

Never Again

I wrote another poem, but this time it isn't about Mythology. I actually wanted to write a more personal poem about my struggles with depressive episodes and passive suicide ideation. For anyone facing similar issues, I sincerely hope you find hope again.

TW: implied suicidal thoughts

If I never cry again Or shatter deep inside again Would you say it's worth the trade Or that it would be worth my while If once the final choice is made My lips will never form a smile?

If I never hurt again Or ache for some self worth again But never got to feel relief Or bask in peace within my mind Although my time in pain was brief Would that be all I left behind?

If I never break again Or make some damn mistake again And in exchange I don't know joy Or feel sunlight warm my skin If freedom would these things destroy Could this be thought of as a win?

If I never laugh again (But lose all of my bitter tears) Don't feel a warm embrace again (Can't drown within my own self hate) Or earn a sense of pride again (And lost the weight of all my fears) I want these things to come again (But can I trust the grace of fate?)

If I never live again

Or fill my lungs with breath again

I know the pain would finally cease

My sorrows long forgotten then

I want so badly to be free, to lose my shattered soul's lament

But I would never feel at peace

If I could never feel again.

Just so you guys know, if it seems like I haven't made any illustrations in a few weeks, it's due to a fatal combination of art block and my Fantasy Life obsession. I loved the original game and I've spent every waking moment playing the sequel since it came out on Wednesday. I'm gonna try and brainstorm some art ideas but uh it might be a minute 😅
