just saying, but shipping someone who's in a committed relationship is nowhere NEAR the same as completely disregarding a characters canon sexuality by the way. shipping a character who's married/in a relationship doesn't hurt anyone. but ignoring a characters sexuality DOES hurt people and the hazbin fandom shipping alastor HAS hurt a majority of the aroace community, me included. i understand youre aro and have your own opinion, but a majority of other aros agree that can we just not ship alastor? sorry, not at all trying to start a fight or anything with you, this post isn't made out of malice at all I just wanted to put my two cents in. I'm romantically and sexually repulsed and would LOVE to have a character like alastor (who has continously shown no only zero interest, but straight DISINTEREST and even disgust to characters romantic/sexual advances) be just aroace without people shipping him

Not sure if this is unpopular but...I don't think Alastor should be shipped with anybody (as an aspec person)

My opinion: While it's true that Alastor is not going to end up with anybody because he just doesn't swing in any direction, I personally (as an aro person) don't see anything wrong with shipping him in non canon ways. It's not much different then shipping a married or already coupled character with a different character. As long as you respect canon, and don't beg for your ship to be canon, cus that just makes the whole fandom look bad.

OMIGODDDDD Okay, i know ive been gone for a WHILE and mostly talk about the owl house on here but im getting FED UP with seeing people defending leorai on here and i NEED to say smth lmao Leo and Karai ARE siblings. That is the end of that. There is no "no they aren't" to it. Because they are. To say they AREN'T means you are completely invalidating any adoptive relationship. You think that adoptive siblings aren't real siblings, you think that adoptive parents do not care about their children in the same way they do for their biological ones, you are completely discrediting the fact that adoptive parents care for their adoptive children the same as their biological children. I've seen this argument used COUNTLESS times to defend ships, that because the siblings are "Adopted" it's fine to ship them. No it's not! It's not okay to ship leo and karai, who ARE adoptive siblings, it's not okay to ship sal fisher and larry because they are ADOPTIVE SIBLINGS, it's not okay to walk up to a real life adoptive sibling duo and tell them you ship them or see them as a couple! Splinter adopted the turtles. Yes, in a very very unorthodox way, but he still adopted them and took care of them as his own children for FIFTEEN YEARS, raising them to be loved like his own children, raising them like siblings. Shredder DID NOT adopt Karai morally, he KIDNAPPED HER and lied to her for 16 years, he never raised her with love, and he never raised her to view the people she was surronded by as her own family. He never told her the truth, he never gave her attention unless it was needed. Did he care for her? Yes, i will not deny he cared for her, but it was less "he cares for her like a father" and more "he cares for her because hes invested 16 years caring for her." When Karai found out the truth and started somewhat living with the turtles, she called Splinter father. Mikey repeatedly called her sister. The turtles for the most part all viewed her as their sister. The five of them all called the exact same man "father." They have the same last name. And once they all figured it out KARAI WAS RAISED TOGETHER WITH THE TURTLES!!! Biologically, Leo and Karai are not siblings. But morally, ethically, technically, legally, they are. Stop discrediting adoptive familial relationships to support your incestuous ship. (and yes! surprise! It's still incest because they are family! incest isn't just based on actual genetics believe it or not :P) And atp, if after reading all that you STILL wanted to defend and ship leorai, just block me. it's not worth reading your dumbass logic in a reblog, don't take the effort to try and "correct" any information, just block me. i don't want to see it anyway have a lovely day and sorry for the tangent lmao

Why do people romanticize kidnapping

I’ve noticed when it comes to kidnappers and their victims everyone thinks the kidnapper is the person’s parent. Paying no attention to the damage the kidnapper has done to the victim and their methods on getting them. They just think oh this person raised this person so they are automatically adoptive parents. It’s like no that's not how adoption works you cannot take someone’s child and claim them as your own or kill someone’s parents then claim them as their own. Some examples of kidnappers being called parents of their victim is Mother Gothel & Rapunzel, The Disney version of Frollo & The hunch back, Hamato Yuuta & Oroku Saki TMNT 2012, Oroku Saki & Hamato Miwa TMNT 2012. Sometimes people consider the name the kidnapper gives to their victim as their real name as ie Oroku Karai. Some people even dare to claim that the victim is at fault and the kidnapper is the victim. Like honestly what is wrong with some people know the difference between kidnapping and adoption. Examples of adoptions would be: TMNT 2003 Chr’ll and Karai as Karai’s parents are stated to ABANDONED Karai so Chre’ll took her in he did not kill her parents and take her or took her from her parents care. The book version of the Hunchback where Frollo comes across a abandoned Hunchback where he decided to adopt not wanting the child to go through what he did (tho he was a bad father). Splinter and the turtles where even though the turtles parents could have been alive they were not around before splinter came across them and in the 2012 version Hamato yoshi pretty much adopted the turtles when he bought them.

SHREDDER IS NOT KARAIS FATHER IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!!!

Yes shredder did indeed “raise” karai but raising someone doesn’t automatically make you a parent. Shredder kidnapped her like Hamato Yuuta kidnapped Saki. You may say Yuuta took him in but remember hes the reason why Saki became an orphan in the first place. You can not just kill people and then say their child is yours now. Shredder also abused and manipulated Karai. He only wanted her cause she was tang shens daughter if she was anyone else I doubt shredder would have given a shit about them unless he sensed they were powerful. Shredder only started treating karai like a daughter when he was about to lose her. Shredder is not Karais adopted father he is her kidnapper Shredder is unfit to be a parent and Karai should have gone into custody long ago. Also calling Shredder Karais father after all he has done is like a major slap in the face to Karai and her parents.
