Just finished watching The Young Pope. Haven't felt anything so strongly and spiritually in a very long time. And haven't identified with anyone so strongly ever, probably. The search for meaningness/God/a good path. I'm speechless. There is so much to discover in this series. I feel understood. I'm no longer as lost as I was. A miracle happened.
#the young pope#i'm in awe#this is am masterpiece#personal#i feel so much yet i can't find the right words#paolo sorrentino#jude law#you've breathed new hope into me#i hadn't felt like this in years#thank you for reminding me how it is

Please read it and reblog people have to hear about what happened today. There are videos of nationalists beating people (teenagers) just because they were walking nearby or throwing firecrackers. These are the people that our president was willing to go side by side during the independence day. We can't rely on the government doing something so please don't sleep on it, let prople know about things happening in Poland right now.

The worst part about having mental health issues is that you’re seemingly required to have a breakdown in order for people to understand how hard you were trying to hold yourself together.
#sadly#text#mental health#it can get to a point where you believe what others are telling you#that you're ok just a bit sad and lazy#and then the breakdown happens and you feel even worse because it seems you're overreacting

something i wish i had realized earlier: you can write poems on the same subject more than once. you can write, paint, draw the same thing over and over if you want to. you can spend your whole life making art about oranges. i think i always felt this pressure to get it right the first time like i couldn’t go back and use that inspiration again. but you can. you can go back and revisit it. you can pick up the conversation again and again if you have more to say.

i hate it when men make fun of women for being vain. like you’ve structured society in such a way that we spend our entire lives chasing after the fleeting moments where we really and truly feel good about our appearances and then have the audacity to mock us for trying to “look pretty” like you’re constantly telling us to? shut the fuck up.
