Tutorial on how I cheat painting metallic materials:

Disclaimer, this is not actually how you paint metal, this is just a quick way to make a metallic looking surface without too much brain work. Or at least my attempt at putting my thought process into words, when really my answer is “Vibes”

You don’t need to add so many ‘stripes’ it’s just easier to read it as metal in small sections like in this tutorial

Tried my best, but I am not good at explaining, so feel free to ask questions or for more examples. Painting metal is hard, and requires a lot more study, so use this as a jumping off point and practice painting real metal. Expand your visual library, and experiment. Have fun.

Yiippeeee my first finished Transformers fan art

I just really wanted to draw Soundwave in a cute pose, and then I decided to experiment with the rendering so that’s kinda inconsistent and took forever due to all the futzing I was doing, but I like messing around so it wasn’t all bad. More TF fan art soon??? Maybe??? I want to get better at drawing mechs

Great job!! I love how sparkly it looks, it makes Nocturn look more vast since he’s able to fit so many stars in him. The opalescent effect you have on that corona around the moon is also very cool, it’s a great effect!

Love the scale detail on the wings and the veins you added(both on the capelet and on Danny’s face 👀). You added a bunch of fun little story elements to these lines, and the choice of back lighting is really cool since most of the other versions have been placing it in front!

One last Green With Envy piece before the event ends this year! I definitely wasn't able to get as much done as I'd have liked to, but I had a lot of fun working on what I could!

Despite my frustration drawing armour, I do really love Fright Knight and I wanted more art of him, so I’m glad he’s getting more love this year XD

Love how you handled the green/purple palette by having a more desaturated transition colour, it looks lovely with the darker grey/black armour. A very cohesive palette! Also glad you enjoyed the flames because I love drawing flames haha

One more flaming haired ghost for the road. I've colored more fright knight in the last week than I've done in my whole life up to this point. I really enjoyed these lines, though, just fantastic shapes and lots of flame to shade. I like to imagine this is what Fright looks like when in battle for the King. Thanks to @ovytia-art for the slapping lines!

I’m so glad I put my sketch in the orphanage because Rivers did such a good job lining it, and I’ve been loving all the colours that’ve been done of these lines!

I love how you made the ooze look kinda like tar, and how limited the palette is 💚
