Shin Soukoku Fanfic?
Who's been needing some shin soukoku fics because I sure have.
So I've decided to start writing my own. I really can't believe there's not as many out there like soukoku does but, of course they do. And if anyone has good reqs for me to read while I'm writing, I will take them! Please drop some reqs!
I'm only in the outlining phase but already getting really excited about it and will be releasing more information here as I get it fleshed out and start writing.
But for now I'll let you know it's a Shin Soukoku Hospital AU! Think, 5ft apart but also, not. Literally the best comparison at the moment. With many major characters involved and soukoku established as secondary characters.
Also will be mature/explicit with smut and some warnings going into it because I love to explore trauma! but really if you're a bsd fan how are you not interested in some trauma? My goal is to make myself cry so..do with that what you will.
If you're interested in this, let me know! Writing is frequently a very isolating and independent thing but I want to be more active and involved in the community in general but also with this fic! I'm alone too often as it is. So please come talk to me about bsd stuff!

In reading Osamu Dazai's work it's a little terrifying to find relatable aspects and MC's but honestly, I think he wrote about being autistic in a world that didn't acknowledge autism.
“Grown-ups are lonely people. Even if we love each other, we must be careful not to show it publicly. And why all this caution? The answer is simple: because people are too often betrayed and put to public shame. The discovery that you cannot trust people is the first lesson young people learn as they grow up into adults. Adults are adolescents who have been betrayed.”

“I went on across the bridge, various memories coming to mind, my footgear clattering on the floorboards. Again, I fell to dreaming. And I finally let out a sigh. Could I really become someone? That’s when I started getting fretful. Since I couldn’t be satisfied with anything, I kept writhing about in vain. Masks in one layer after another - as many as ten or twenty - had fastened themselves upon me, and I could no longer tell how sad any one of them really was. In the end I found a dreary way out of my dilemma - I would be a writer. There were many others who were subject to this same sort of incomprehensible agitation, and all of them would be my confederates.”

“Children are very sensitive to ‘inhumanity and crude taunts,’ and though they might walk about expressionless as a Noh mask or put on a friendly façade, underneath they burn with hatred at the real world.”

“The world is empty. Is there a single thing in this world that is good? If there is, that would only be the fact that the end of this world will come someday. There is no need for complex reasoning. Look around us - incessant changes, anxiety, anguish, fear, disillusionment, strife, boredom. Truly, we are in an unenlightened, obscure, and confused state, with no destination in sight. We are alive only at the present moment. Moreover, the present moment immediately disappears into the past from under our feet. The next moment and the moment after that are exactly the same, like the sand beneath the feet of a traveler standing on a crumbling dune. Where can we rest safely? Because we will fall if we stop, we have no choice but to continue running down the slope - that is our life.”
Nakajima Atsushi, “The Rebirth of Wujing” from The Moon over the Mountain and Other Stories

To A Friend:
If they ask, tell them
nothing. Why bring flowers-something fresh
and new, alive to a place
where everything is cold
and dead? I know you want them
back, to bring flowers to the grave, maybe
bring them back to life.
When they ask, tell them
everything. Tell them it’s not their fault,
but it’s not yours either. I know you hope
they accept you and care for their son.
One day when you bring him
home, bring them flowers, tell them
that you love him. Hopefully
there will be no more trips
to the grave. But if so, remember,
I’ll always love you.
[I really did write this to a friend when I was 18/19 but now, I realize it was also written to myself. A part of me I wasn't willing to acknowledge when I was that age and I was still visiting graves. Unfortunately, things don't always work out and those graves are still there. I'm still figuring out a lot but I'm glad I wrote this to my friend who I haven't spoken to in almost 10 years.]
