Good Omens Season 3 Update!✨️

Gaiman has offered to take a step away from being a part of S3. This is the path I was betting on happening, and I think it's the right decision moving forward. Nothing is finalized yet, but I'm glad that this is now on the table for the sake of the show's future. 💖

"Production changes": This is a way of saying that a producer's ass is getting fired. There's exactly one person whose ass could be getting fired in this situation.

It's speculative but I think a pause for some "production changes" might indicate that they're working on getting rid of him and buying some time to make that happen. It could take some time for Amazon to extract him from the process of S3, which would explain the pause.

If they didn't think they could do it-- or if they didn't see the value in trying-- they would have just canceled S3 outright, which they have not done. They also went out of their way to emphasize the "production changes" part of it so that's a good sign.

To my beloved fandom;

A lot of you know me as PhoenixRose314, Tumblr's fandom mom and ineffable author of Don't Fall Away From Me and There Is A Light & It Never Goes Out. This fandom has been such a source of joy for me and has kept me going through some really difficult and dark times, but right now my world is absolutely falling apart.

Through circumstances beyond my control (health reasons - cancer and anxiety and depression), I was let go from my job a few months ago and my children and I can no longer afford to rent our lovely home in our lovely village. This has been incredibly hard for me to accept but once my lease is up I will have run out of savings and my kids and I will no longer have a place to call our own.

I am famously awful at asking for help, however this amazing fandom has convinced me to start this crowdfunder to try and raise enough money to try and buy a small park home or caravan for myself and the kids. It won't be much, but it will be ours, and nobody can take it away from us. I'm currently in the process of selling all my collectibles, furniture and worldly goods to try and raise some of the money myself, but anything you could donate to give my family some stability would be appreciated from the very bottom of my heart.

the fact that people are doing this is very disgusting to see. Like people need to realize that, you’re not the writer of anyone’s story. You’re not the one in the writers room. You didn’t create the story at all. This is his and Terry’s story and you guys need to stop and reflect yourself, because what you guys are doing is absolutely not okay. At all. You cannot have your cake and eat it too, like if you truly feel this passionate about it, write it yourself, plan your story and write it. But regardless that doesn’t give you the rights to act this way towards any authors. Like plz reflect what you guys are doing because what you’re doing right now is blatantly disrespectful, disgusting and downright ridiculous. You do not have the authority with the story. This isn’t about you guys like Xan said, you can feel passionate about it and that’s awesome. Great. It nice you enjoy it but don’t be an asshole to authors and how the story’s going.

This is their story, this is their writing, and he’s continuing the story for his best friend, not for you guys. You guys are the readers, so you either learn some respect and stop attacking them for how’s the story is going. Or just leave him alone if you are going to continue this path. As well as respect everyone’s story and how they want to tell it. You can as he said “wait and see” what happens next.

nghhh ok so. imagine you and your bestie have this cool idea and you make up a story together for shits and giggles, and then it goes viral and becomes super popular. then, because life is a bitch, your bestie gets sick and before they die they tell you "hey you know that story we did? it's be super cool if you could write the ending, i wanna see that happen" and then they die. so you're left with this and so ofc you go and start writing the rest of the story, but now more people are invested. and they didn't like the middle part you wrote and are threatening to drop a grand piano on your head if you don't give them what they want and you're like ??? "this isn't for you, this is for my friend." but they keep shouting at you and demanding stuff from you anyway.

yea. that? don't do that. it's fine to have emotional reactions to stories and characters you're passionate about, but if you don't like something, you're free to make your own stuff. the story isn't for you. we get to enjoy it too, and that's awesome, but this isn't about you.

i really wouldn't ever wish for anyone to know the kind of pain that losing a best friend feels like, it's world shattering. but if you've ever lost anyone close, you'd probably understand. but even if you haven't, it's no excuse to act so entitled to something that's not yours.

But I’m realize what I did was in bad taste, and to that I would like to apologize to the Jewish community, it was never my intention to use you guys as a way to bash someone I wasn’t using you guys, I wanted to speak on the antisemitism from Jk Rowling but I have a lot to learn and shouldn’t have spoke on this without proper education. I’m confused now, how is me linking people talking about it being part of the problem? I was just linking sources of her being antisemitic as well as her transphobia. Also in that post I talking about other things besides the antisemitism. I was just providing evidence as of why people shouldn’t be supporting Jk Rowling.

Also in that same post, it never said to dismiss it. The post acknowledges there are cases as well as if people are being antisemitic to reflect. All the op was talking about is that some people will misuse antisemitism for the sake of decreasing the talk of the genocide.
