You 🫵 Yes, you. Do you want your Sidestep unwittingly interacting with others of their kind? Want them to become other Sidesteps' problem best friend? Then fill out this form and rest assured in the knowledge that your Sidestep will have a wonderful companion by their side!*

Each Sidestep will be randomly paired with another Sidestep. Once the form closes, applicants selected will have the details of their Sidestep posted a few days before the official pairs are announced. Prompts will be posted after pairing is complete to give topics for participants to discuss, but once pairings are announced, it is up to the participants to reach out themeselves, via asks, DMs, art, writing, etc. To emphasise, your Sidesteps are not required to date eachother– feel free to come up with any dynamic you and the other participant sees fit!

I will be capping out applications at 40 people, maybe 50 if I push it, so this is on a first come first serve basis! I'll be closing this form a week from now (February 6th, 00:00 UTC), and queue up the form for each day with how many days are left till it closes.

Okay like... I've plotted to the end of Take a Slice but I want to write more Take a Slice so if anyone has any ideas in terms of where it could go now that the relationship is 'official' between Val, Vox and Albie please let me knowww because I don't want to finish the fic low-key I want to keep it going

I can rant about it here because y'all don't know me like that but this new writing festival is kind of depressing? The panel was called "is playwriting in crisis?" and the answer from the panel was a resounding yes. Then I saw some incredible short plays, but now I'm annoyed because it wasn't MY writing on the stage because I know I've been putting in the work and badgering my mentor (who invited me to the festival) to let me show my work there. Then they cut the pitching section so I can't even pitch my play anymore so I have to do all the networking on the ground but THEN I try and network with people and they just don't seem interested? Like it's actually kind of fucking me up a little? Like can you at least pretend to be interested in my work? The industry sucks?? I just want to write???

There's more panels and stuff tomorrow so I'm really going to nail it down and go full force because I don't want people to forget I was there because I'm serious about this shit? I'm serious about being a professional writer?? Let me prove that???

Anyways back to your regularly scheduled fanfiction soon I promise

Oh btw I'm in London this weekend at an actual writing festival!! Which is crazy! I was invited because of my original playwriting stuff which I should really talk about more on here, but it's going to be SO good for my career and everything.

I might do a little blogging a little updating on this blog since I don't think I have room in my case to pack my journal lol.

So I don't think I'll have the time to finish Take a Slice Chapter 5 this week but I'll get it out by early next week hopefully! But y'know, this is my best shot at getting a career in writing so I gotta prioritise.

ALTHOUGH I am going to open up fic commissions next week 100% so if you're fucking with my writing stay tuned!
