How goes the progress on the Dog Boss version of the Oogie Boogie Song

I had to put the entire AU on haitus due to mental health and financial reasons. Life got too busy for me and I couldn’t handle such an ambitious project.

Quick question but is Yuuca and the yuu shipped with Jack the same or different? Sorry if this seems out of the blue, I’m just curious

Yuuna and Yucca are two different Yuus. Yuuna is shipped with Malleus and Yucca is shipped with Jack. I don't know which one you misspelled, so I thought I clarify with both,

I LOVE DIASOMNIA!!!! I yell as they haul me off to a padded cell.

I love them so much, I'm such a damn sucker for the found family dynamics. My favorite design is Sebek. I love this reptiley boi with all of my heart. But his hair is so hard to draw.

I wanted to get more practice drawing them and fleshing out some headcannons I have for them.

Some Fun notes:

Malleus- I tried to push how much smug cat I can fit into this lizard as much as possible. His hair is supposed to invoke thorns and the spines of a bearded dragon lizard.

Sebek- The markings on his cheeks are kinda supposed to be texture from half formed scales. I imagine that the skin there is a bit tougher than expected. This makes his cheeks a little hard to pinch. He's also supposed to look a little more like a gargoyle.

Silver- I wanted to push a little more pink and blue saturation to give him a more dreamlike feeling. Not much to say here, I tried to keep his design more simple. His bangs swoop to the left when Malleus' swoops to the right.

Lilia- I kinda wanted to add more earings but I really struggled to render them out.

HOW TO FIX PLAYFUL LAND

One of the easiest ways one could fix Playful Land, because even someone who loves it as me recognizes it has some glaring issues, is to make Fellow and Gidel:

visibly hate their job

make their illiteracy more apparent and

show the abuse of power

You'd also need to have the NRC have a little more empathy, but that's beside the point.

Now. i'm going to divide this post into 3 parts in-order to elaborate more on my points.

Visibly hate their job

You can sprinkle in pieces in-between their tour of Playful Land and their conversations. All the Halloween villains had cracks in their facade, make Fellow's more apparent the longer the night goes on or when the boys ask specific questions. Everyone has tells, whether they realize it or not. The more perceptive guys, (Leona, Vil, Ortho and Cater) can pick up on these and press Fellow more.

2. Make their illiteracy more apparent

Reading is essential in any modern job. My girlfriend (I love you) and I, as we were reading Playful Land together, knew Fellow had to memorize the letters as symbols instead of the specifics. This ties into the idea of them visibly hating their job and having the perceptive guys press him for answers. They ask for specific things, whether it be food ingredients, historical facts, or even how much anything is, and Fellow cracks because it's something he hasn't memorized. Gidel can read it a bit better, but it's not by much.

3. Show the abuse of Power

The Boss docking their pay is another good show of it, but also a visible contract with clear, exploitative language. Or, better yet, some kind of spell they physically cannot break because they don't have the magical means to. The Boss, whom I think is based on Stromboli, has them under his thumb in a way that only someone with no options could be in. If you sew the previous points into the plot, one might even give Fellow and Gidel the backstory they were once in the guys position, but the Boss pulled them out in order to have a permanent and "loyal" workers.

The abuse of power extends to them also being totally aware of who some of the guys are. The Boss is keeping them in the dark on purpose as to have them be scapegoats, should the operation ever be found out. This could be another sore point that the guys press him on and learn Fellow and Gidel genuinely don't know who they are.

This is just a few ways to show abuse of power, as are there many ways to fix Playful Land. As much as I love the event, it's my all time favorite and the literal reason I'm as obsessed with TWST as I am, there are so many plot-holes and problems that are hard to ignore and these are my solutions.
