I haven't done 2D animation in like 3 or 4 years. Why is this the first thing make??? Actually I wanna do a lot more of these, I have a whole list of Taskmaster quotes lined up. It's mostly time that's the issue so... Who knows if they will ever see the light of day. I just made this one quickly because I thought it would be funny to post during pride month lol

Also oof rendering this animation in Krita + uploading it on Tumblr did make it a little crunchier. Hope ya'll like pixels...

Mandatory yap section here, I simply can't stop myself. Idk what it is about these turtles that give me comic ideas, but here we are. Again. And I'm doing actual panels this time. I just had ✨a vision✨ for a panel layout for an upcoming part, so yea we're doin' panels now.

Btw there will probably be at least a week (probably more) between parts because 1 I'm slow and 2 haha not only did I commit to backgrounds again, this time I'm also making it actually neat. If I planned it properly there will be like 4 or 5 parts, and I'm just now realising how long this will take. Well... I'm not running out of things to draw anytime soon it seems lol

Also ignore the fact that in the show they have definitely successfully received packages, this is my comic and I make the rules here

I was only there for a short little bit to draw a tiny Mikey and ✨arson✨ Donnie, but this was so fun!! So much cool turtle art and friendly folks :)

Part 1 - Part 2 - This is part 3, there will be no more

I originally wasn't going to make a third part, I planned the first 2 parts at the same time. But when coming up with the little bonus doodle I wanted Leo to freak out over owing someone money and that idea got a little out of hand...

Bonus: Shredder may not have ended them, but Mikey sure did (financially...)

All (or well most) of the backgrounds I made for this comic. I'm posting these now while I'm working on part 3 as a sign of life and also cus I spent time on details that get blocked by character lol

There was no reason for me to do fully colored background for a silly comic other than the autism got the best of me. They're messy, the perspective is probably wrong and very heavily relied on screenshots from the show. But honestly, still fun to make and I'm still glad I did them. It adds to the vibes. Now because I can't be stopped, lemme yap about all the individual ones >:) Leo's bedroom: I was really excited to use the posters as a place for little jokes and easter eggs. Some people noticed the Sanic poster, I just had to include that one, it's too perfect. The other big poster is a very bad Lou Jitsu poster. The little turtle picture is covered by Leo in the comic, because I didn't plan things out that well. Then the little polaroid above the pillow is a selfie with all 4 turtles, it's very tiny and abstract, I'm not surprised no one noticed that. I gave up on being original with all the action figures and stuff on the shelves, those are just from the show. I have no clue why Leo just has an ORB, but he does... The atrium (?): First of all, I gave Raph a hang in there cat poster, it felt right. Also fun fact: despite copying the graffiti from the show, I wasn't able to read most of them. I couldn't make out the words in the references so I just did abstract shapes that kinda looked the same. The only one I could actually read was the one on the right skate ramp that just says pizza, and tbh I find it so funny that they just have the word pizza written on the walls because they like it so much lol. Also from looking at the shows backgrounds, so far I've counted 3 basketball hoops in random locations in the lair (and I'm sure I missed some). This is truely interior design by 4 teenage boys. The kitchen: I hope no one was emotionally attached to the hanging pans, because I just didn't draw most of them. Let's say they're being washed or something... As mush as I love including useless details, I have my limits. Also I needed to keep some open space to actually put turtles... Oh and don't worry, the milk will be put back in the fridge (probably) The sewers: I got wall decor privileges again >:) And it's very clear I didn't just steal the graffiti this time, the Hot Soup one is a little rough... But I really like the little abstract portraits of everyone. Plus giving them all little paint drips was fun, 10/10 would do again Sadly it will mostly be blocked by turtles again lol.

(btw if anyone wants to use these backgrounds for something, as long as you credit me it's cool)

Yo guys it's fish time :)

Honestly this piece was so much fun to make and also so weird. I've never made a painting this way, but it just kinda happend. I didn't even want to make this a painting in the beginning, I just wanted to do a loose n sketchy illustration. But the watercolor brushes were just so fun to use... I also really like the way the colors turned out, I had pretty much no plan other that bright. I ended up just kinda copying the colors I used in my sketchbook. I always like to sketch with ballpoint pens and I have a lot of colors, so if i like a sketch I go a lil crazy. This time I also wanted to use some neon gellpens, but those died almost immeadiatly lol.

First of all, thank you so much to the rise community, the reaction to my work has been insane. I've been posting art online since 2017 and I've never gotten this many likes and nice comments n tags. Also recognizing people in the notes because they've liked my stuff before or because I've liked their stuff before is always such a blast, y'all are great :) I still have some plans 'n project I wanna do, but I have been drawing pretty intensly since like February so I will probably take it a bit easier for a bit. Though I do wanna draw at least 1 mermaid this month... we'll see I guess lol Also I have set up a ko-fi... (and I might do some commissions in the future but idk if people are interested so lemme know) Anyways, here's some silly doodles I've made over the span of a few days. These dudes are so much fun to draw in silly situations and interactions. Also I just like drawing in MS Paint, the vibes are so good. It's like a digital version of a sketchbook if that makes sense.

And last but not least, Raphael. Not gonna lie, I did intentionally do Raph last. Not because I don't like him, I just had no idea what pose to do. For the others it just kinda came easier I guess, they all have such distinct personalities and ways to express them. But for Raph, he's an absolute sweetie but also the punching badass guy. Since I wanted to include his mystic powers in this drawing to match with the rest I went for more of the punching part lol. And honestly, pretty fun to do, the sketching phase took a while because I kept moving him like a little paperdoll. Btw it only bothers me a tiny bit that the style of his mystic stuff is different than the rest... only a little... Honestly drawing all 4 of these goobers has been so much fun. It feels like forever ago since I've had to do clean lineart, but it's so satisfying to do. Also just in general trying to immitate the artstyle from Rise has been a fun challenge. Yea I did add my own little dots n stuff, because I don't have to animate these suckers, but besides that I think I got pretty close.

Mikey is so fun to draw, and for some reason pretty easy as well. My guess is because he's more round than the rest and I'm a bit more used to drawing more round things? Idk... But coming up with a pose and stuff for Mikey was so fun, cus he's so energetic and bouncy :) I do think it's a bit of a shame how the final drawing is a little bit more stiff than the initial sketch, but it be like that sometimes. The fire came out really nice though! For all the turtles the ✨mystic✨ elements are so fun to draw, no thoughts, just shapes :) Now there's only 1 turtle left, but Imma put that off for a little bit... I wanna make part 2 to my lil comic first. And I'm having a hard time coming up with a pose for Raph... But I will draw him! I promise! Eventually...

My beloved autism boy, why must you have so many accesories. And why must I make it harder for myself by choosing a pose that's hard to find references for. Because it's cool, thats why >:] but fr, this took me like 5 hours longer than Leo because of all of that. It's kind of ironic how Leo started out being difficult to draw when I started figuring out how to draw turtles and now Donnie was a bit of a struggle. When drawing Leo I just went for a pose he does often, but for Donnie I really wanted to do this pose because I just think it's neat and I wish it happened more often in the show. Also I wanted to have a glowing element but not anything mystic, so fire it is lol. I want all drawings to sorta match okay... Idk what I'm gonna draw next, I want to draw all of the turtles and I have a sketch for Mikey already, but I also have a silly little comic idea I might do first.

Idk if Leo is my favourite but it was the easiest to think of a pose for him, so I drew him first. And I'm so happy with how he turned out, in like every way. It's crazy that practice works, I'm shocked every time I find that out again. When I was figuring out how to draw turtles in my sketchbook, out of all of them, Leo was the hardest. And now with this drawing it all went relatively smoothly. I was trying to mimic the show's style quite a bit (because I like it and I can) but mostly with the shading I went my own way. It feels like forever ago I've done line art and screentone like this, but the end result is always so fun :) I've already started sketching Donnie, but idk how long that drawing will take (I'm not making it easy for myself with his pose lol)

Edit: I can't believe I'm a fake fan who doesn't know how many leg-bananas this turtle has, it totally doesn't bother me now that I realised it either...

Funguary 28 - Caesar’s Mushroom

Last day of Funguary has been completed. I have made it another year. I was honestly not sure if I was gonna be able to do it this year because I was having some shoulder issues, but luckily that cleared up and I made it another year, whoo! And the mushroom for today is honestly a really pretty one, the colors are so satisfying to me. But I took more inspiration from the name, get ready for your yearly stabbing Caesar ;)
