DC X Sonic (w/Nora)
I headcanon that in the DC x Sonic the Hedgehog crossover comics, Nora's superhero role would be Aquaman, since they're both water-based and wear green, (Aquaman is mostly orange, but you get it).

Concept And Creation:
Originally, Nora was supposed to be a skunk, but the idea was scrapped and later changed to her being an otter instead. Nora was initially created to act as a sweet and innocent hero character for the franchise, as well as to add another female to the team. While her bubbly attitude and ditziness contrasts with Amy's fierceness and passion, Nora slowly grew to act as a sidekick of some sorts to the pink hedgehog with the two having a sisterly-type bond, similar to Sonic and Tails' relationship.
Nora made her debut in 1996. When Sonic Team reunited and started work on their three-dimensional follow-up to the classic Sonic games, "Sonic Adventure", it was decided they would give her a starring role in the game. Like the rest of the returning cast, Nora was given an updated design. While Sonic, Tails and Knuckles all received minor changes, Nora's clothing were completely revamped. In addition to her redesign, her official age was changed from 5 to 7.
Voice:
Since her debut, Nora has been voiced by Aya Hisakawa in Japanese. Her first English voice actress was Larissa Wolcott. Rebecca Soler, who voiced the character in "Sonic X", replaced Wolcott in 2005's "Shadow the Hedgehog". Soler was later replaced by Ashly Burch in 2010's "Sonic Free Riders" to "Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games". Cherami Leigh, who voiced the character in "Sonic Boom", replaced Burch from 2016's "Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games" onwards. In "Sonic Prime" Nora was voiced by Claire Corlett.
Appearance:
Nora is an anthropomorphic otter, her fur mostly russet brown and her muzzle cream-colored with short cheek tufts. She has a sleek tail, medium-large rounded ears with pink inners, a small, black nose and azure-blue eyes, each one having a single, medium-length eyelash on the side. She also has two short, thick strands of fur sticking out her head with the rest of her fur styled into low pigtails.
Nora's original design, also known as Classic Nora, has a rounded torso, a slightly shorter tail and black eyes. For attire, she wears a lavender dress with black buttons, white wrist-length gloves, white socks and black Mary Janes. For Modern Nora, she now wears a bright green dress with a white collar, as well as yellow lining and buttons. Her wrist-length gloves and socks are both white, and her shoes are green with white toe boxes and yellow accents and soles. In addition, her pigtails are also tied with bright green hair ties.
On special occasions, Nora has worn different outfits (ex: Extreme Gear competitions, Olympic Games, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle, etc.)
Background:
Not much is known about Nora's early life. She first met Sonic and his friends after being rescued by the former from nearly being attacked by Dr. Eggman's army of robots. She thanks Sonic for saving her and insists on joining the team to help foil the doctor's plans to overtake their world. She combats various enemies with her trusty yo-yo. After Sonic defeats Dr. Eggman, she is asked by Sonic to be officially part of the team for her immense bravery and determination, which she ecstatically accepts as she always wanted to be a hero.
Personality:
Nora is bubbly, cheerful, determined and innocent. She loves going on adventures and exploring new places. She is also incredibly brave, willing to take risks to help others, even at the cost of her own well-being, displaying a selfless side. Because of her age, Nora does have childish tendencies and traits. While usually sweet and playful, there are times when she can be stubborn and emotional, like a child would.
Nora dreams of becoming a strong hero. While she knows she isn't as strong as her friends and can be a little impulsive from time to time, she has demonstrated great wits, charisma and resourcefulness, which she uses to get out of sticky situations. She also isn't above asking for help and trusts her friends to save her when she really needs it.
Nora looks up to her friends a great deal. She always does her best to support them however she can and is loyal to them no matter what. She is also quite affectionate towards them, both physically and verbally.
Nora is known to be extremely clumsy, a trait that often gets her into trouble and makes her dependent on her friends to keep her from falling at times. Despite her tendency to trip over her own feet, she rarely gets disheartened and always gets back up. Her mistakes never stop her from trying her best.
Nora does have moments of maturity and can be quite grounded for her age. She sometimes acts as the voice of reason toward Amy whenever she lets her emotions run wild, especially when Sonic is involved. Nora dislikes conflict, especially amongst her friends, and will often step in to try and stop it, acting as a mediator.
While Nora usually takes one the role of support for the team, she isn't afraid to step onto the front lines and play a more active role in crisis situations. She has zero tolerance for Dr. Eggman's wrongdoings and will always fight for the safety and happiness or others.
Powers and Abilities:
Despite her petite size and limited physical prowess, Nora is more than capable of holding her own in a fight and has even defeated robots much larger and stronger than she is. Her skills and tools make her an exceptional fighter and valuable member of Sonic's team. However, she is no match against highly trained fighters like Rouge.
Nora has proven herself to be extremely fast, able to keep up with speedy individuals like Sonic, who can run at faster-than-light speeds. She also has a lot of stamina and durability, as she doesn't tire easily when running or fighting for long periods of time and can recover from powerful attacks rather quickly. Nora possesses above average acrobatic skills and reflexes, able to perform special tricks and movements while mid-air, pull off various Spin Attack maneuvers at high speed, and grind on rails with ease.
Nora is also able to perform the "Spin Attack", a technique where she curls into a concussive ball or cutting disk and directs herself at her targets. With it, Nora can shred or burrow through just about any substance given enough speed. Adept in its usage, Nora can utilize several variants of the Spin Attack for both ground- and aerial maneuvers, including the "Spin Dash", "Spin Jump", and "Homing Attack".
When not using her Spin Attack, Nora utilizes her yo-yo in battle with her most basic attack being "Yo-Yo Attack", where she attacks an opponent from a distance with her yo-yo. She can also use "Yo-Yo Spin", where she rapidly spins her yo-yo around to block or deflect incoming attacks, "Yo-Yo Strike", where she swiftly swings her yo-yo and strikes her enemy from the side, "Mid-Air Yo-Yo Attack", where she strikes down an enemy while air borne, and "Yo-Yo Grapple" to ensnare targets and hurl them, or reach high altitudes.
Being an otter, Nora is a great swimmer and can even hold her breath underwater for minutes at a time.
Nora has shown talent for Extreme Gear riding, capable of going against some of the best Extreme Gear riders in the world during the second World Grand Prix. While riding on an Extreme Gear, Nora can pull off highly advanced tricks and techniques while moving through midair at incredible speeds, as well as grind on rails. She also has excellent skills when it comes to driving and racing in racecars.
Weapons and Equipment:
Nora never goes anywhere without her yo-yo, which doubles as her favorite toy and weapon of choice. The yo-yo itself consists of an axle connected to two green disks with silver lining and a yellow circle in the middle, and a rather long and highly durable string looped around the axle, similar to a spool. She can summon her yo-yo from an unknown hiding spot.
Though its appearance is simple and somewhat childish, in Nora's hands, it becomes a versatile, close to mid ranged weapon. She is highly adept at wielding it, as well as use it to improve her movements and perform incredible tricks and feats.
Transformations:
Hyper Mode=
A weaker variant of the super transformation. Nora is capable of using this mode for a brief time on her own by drawing power from the Chaos Emeralds. In Hyper Mode, Nora's speed and attack power greatly increases.
Color Powers=
By harnessing different variants of Hyper-go-on from Wisps, Nora can use specific Color Powers to transform into a certain form, such as a drill, a laser, or even a planet, each one possessing its own unique abilities. So far, Nora has been able to transform into the Cyan Laser, Yellow Drill, and Indigo Asteroid. However, these transformations require a steady supply of Hyper-go-on to be maintained.
Super Nora=
By harnessing the power of all seven Chaos Emeralds, Nora can enter a Super State, transforming her into Super Nora. In this state, all of Nora's abilities far surpass her normal ones, with the addition of near invulnerability. However, this transformation consumes a lot of energy and requires Rings to be maintained.
Hyper Nora=
By harnessing the power of all seven Super Emeralds, Nora can transform into Hyper Nora. In this state, all of Nora's innate abilities far surpass her normal ones, and even those of Super Nora. Additionally, this form allows Nora to transfer energy into her yo-yo for more powerful attacks.
Weaknesses:
Nora's clumsiness can be troublesome for herself and others at certain times.

Chao
Knuckles the Echidna

Nora's Olympic Games Stats=
Power: 4/10
Speed: 7/10
Acceleration: 6/10
Skill: 7/10
I don't think the playable characters should be categorized by type (power, speed, skill, and all-around). I've always felt like they were unnecessary because any character you play as can get high record scores at any event regardless of what their type is. So I headcanon that the game series divides all the playable characters by team (Team Mario and Team Sonic), and displays each of their stats when you choose them to show how compatible they might be for certain events (ex: characters with higher power stats would be better for events like Hammer or Discus Throw; characters with higher speed stats would be better for events like 100m Sprint or Freestyle; characters with higher skill stats would be better for events like Rhythmic Ribbon or Badminton; and characters with higher acceleration stats would be better for events like Track Cycling or Canoe Sprint 1000m). I also headcanon Rosalina being a playable character in the video game series. She counts as a main cast Mario character, right? She deserves to be in it, just like the Mario Kart series.

Sonic Boom (w/Nora)
As much as I liked Sticks in Sonic Boom, she would unfortunately have to be a recurring/background character in the series if Nora were canon. I like to imagine that Sticks would make her first appearance in episode 5 at the beginning when there the Village is under attack by a meteor shower. She would probably go on a short, crazed rant on how the end was near just like she always predicted before running away with the rest of the villagers.
For episode 4 ("Buster"), Amy tries to teach Nora that she can't judge something based on its appearance when the otter refuses to watch a new movie based on its promotion flyer. The next day, Nora finds a cute little robotic bear outside her door and immediately takes him in, naming him Barry. She introduces him to her friends, and while they had some questions and suspicion, they didn't really mind at first. However, whenever the otter is not looking or around, Barry would cause mischief and destruction. The others tried telling her that Barry is evil, but she refused to believe them, believing Barry to be too cute to do anything awful. The next day, after discovering that Barry is nowhere to be found, Nora finds him in his true form, terrorizing her friends and almost destroying them had she not saved them last minute. The team then works together to defeat Barry once and for all, and Nora learns that she really can't judge something based on how it looks. She also agrees to go watch the new movie with Amy. However, after the scene cuts to show the girls at Amy's house, Nora stating in deadpan that she knew she would hate the movie. This episode would be renamed to "Barry".
For episode 5 ("My Fair Sticksy"), after heroically rescuing many of the villagers from being crushed by meteors, Nora is nominated for an Awardy Award. But she has never attended a fancy event before and fears embarrassing herself in front of everyone. Amy then decides to teach her everything she knows about being a lady. Though this didn't go without difficulty for the otter, as she struggled with walking in heels, table etiquette, and ballroom dancing without stepping on feet or tripping. At the evening of the gala, Nora successfully applies everything she learned, Amy quietly praising her with, "That's my girl". However, at the dinner, Nora forgets which spoon was a soup spoon before deciding to slurp it from the bowl, which earns some odd stares from the guests. Dr. Eggman suddenly shows up for being nominated for an Awardy Award (he actually gave himself extra votes using his Ballot Stuffer Bot). Surprisingly, Mayor Fink announced Leroy the Turtle as the winner, which infuriates Eggman and causes him to try and take the trophy by force. Nora is hesitant to fight alongside her friends since she wanted to keep up her lady-like image, but she ultimately snaps, declaring that she is tired of being proper and just wants to be herself. She finally jumps in and frees her friends from the doctor's clutches so they could beat him. After Eggman retreats, the guests return and applaud, the team thanks Nora for helping them, and Amy admits that being proper doesn't always pay off. Even Leroy agrees that the otter is a hero but refused to give up his trophy when she asked, thus the two get into a rather childish tug of war over it while the team watches while commenting, "That's our girl". This episode would be renamed to "Proper Noratiquette".
For episode 13 ("Unlucky Knuckles"), Nora is fed up with everyone treating her like a child, treating her to kids' meals, insisting on holding hands, (even when she does need help with certain things, like getting something off a high shelf due to being too short). To prove that she can handle herself on her own, she decides to sneak into Dr. Eggman's lair and foil his next evil plans all by herself. However, this proves to be a lot harder than she thought. In the end, she gets defeated and taken prisoner by the doctor. Back on the island, Team Sonic is unable to find the otter anywhere and start to worry. That's when Eggman sends a transmission to them, revealing the captured Nora, who apologizes and pleads for them to save her. Dr. Eggman then demands they come and face him if they ever want to see her again. The team wastes no time going to Eggman's lair and are faced with his robot forces. They manage to free Nora and together, they take down the enemies. Everyone is relieved that Nora is okay, and the otter learns to accept that she in fact is still a kid, and she isn't ready to do certain things by herself yet. She then suggests the team hold hands while heading home together, and they all did so. This episode would be renamed to "Not a Baby".
For episode 25 ("Into the Wilderness"), Nora and Amy go camping together. Amy brought along an immense amount of equipment, as well as an extensive outdoors guide which she insists they follow to ensure that they have a perfect experience. However, Nora is easily able to wing everything on her first try without instruction, some just worked out without her meaning it to. Amy slowly starts getting more and more frustrated. Not at Nora for unintentionally succeeding, but the fact that she feels basically unneeded and useless. It gets too much to the point where she just snaps and storms off, much to the otter's confusion and worry. However, while trying to search for her best friend, Nora ends up crossing paths with Dr. Eggman and his pack of Wolf Bots. Her loud panicking catches Amy's attention, and she immediately comes to her rescue when she is overpowered by the robotic canines. The two then work together as a team to take them all out and send the doctor flying. After that, Amy apologizes to Nora for her outburst and leaving her alone before explaining why. Nora accepts her apology and reassures her that she will always need her. Later that night, the two sit in front of the campfire and look at the stars together. Nora comments that she loves camping before she and Amy wrap an arm around each other's shoulders. This episode would be renamed to "Unhappy Camper".
For episode 29 ("Curse of the Cross-Eyed Moose"), A brand-new claw machine is installed at Meh Burger, and Team Sonic decides to check it out. Everybody wins something from it...everybody except Sonic. This takes a blow to his ego, especially when Knuckles points it out and teases him for it. He then slowly becomes more and more obsessed with trying to win. His friends try to get him away from game, but to no avail. Sonic then starts to neglect his hero duties because he wants to win so badly, his friends' worry for him now becoming annoyance. His addiction even infuriates Dr. Eggman to the point where he blows up the claw machine with a missile in order to get the blue hedgehog's attention. Sonic screams in despair at this (because he actually managed to grab hold of a toy and was right about to drop it and finally win) before immediately shifting into a fit of rage, which he takes out on the doctor and wins the fight. Afterwards, Sonic is still upset that he didn't get to win the crane, so his friends came up with a solution: They create their very own version of the machine with Knuckles, Amy, and Tails pulling on a rope with Nora tied around the other end over a tree branch, the three moving her up and down in sync to Sonic's joystick (which is just a stick lodged into the sand) to catch over a pile of all the toys they previously. Nora scoops up all of them while being hoisted back up and declares the blue hedgehog the winner, much to his joy. This episode would be renamed to "No Crane, No Gain".
For episode 31 ("Closed Door Policy"), The team visits Tails' workshop to check out his new invention: an invisibility ray. And it actually works. However, an accidental occurs, and the invisibility ray goes off, the ray bouncing off multiple reflective surfaces in the workshop before making contact with Nora. Because Tails doesn't know how to reverse the effect and will need time to figure it out, Nora has to remain invisible for the present. This does cause some confusion and a bit of complication among her peers. She is unable to play catch with her friends since they can't see where to throw the ball, thus she ends up getting hit in the face. She also gets mistaken for a ghost at Meh Burger since the employees and customers can't see her, freaking them all out and causing them to flee in fear. Later that day, Nora goes back to Tails' workshop to desperately ask if he's found a way to reverse her invisibility. He hasn't, much to her despair. After that, Dr. Eggman and his forces harass the village again, and Team Sonic springs into action. Just before they fight, the doctor questions if they're missing somebody, and everyone momentarily checks to see if Nora was with them and where she was before giving a brief explanation that she turned invisible, Eggman comments that they have weird pastimes and the fight finally begins. Teamwork is a bit tricky at first since nobody can see Nora, but they soon find a way to use this to their advantage, send the doctor flying away in retreat and save the day. Nora comments that she is glad to see seen again, only for Sonic to mess with her by pretending she was invisible again, the others either playing along or laughing, much to the otter's chagrin. This episode would be renamed to "Nice to Unsee You".
In episode 40 ("Tails' Crush"), Nora has been distracted recently, finding her focus constantly set on Tails every time he interacts with a vixen named Zooey, Seeing the two acting close seems to bother her, though she can't figure out why. Her friends, however, could easily tell that she was jealous because she liked the fox. Nora denies this, though it isn't very convincing. Tails and Zooey then leave together, and Nora can't help but follow them all the way to the former's workshop, watching them in suspicion through the window the entire time. Meanwhile, Dr. Eggman arrives with a robot called "Envy Bot", which targets those with strong feelings of jealousy. While initially thought of as silly, he believes it will work and sends it out. Later on, Zooey leaves while carrying a toaster and waving goodbye to Tails. That's when the fox discovers Nora's hiding spot and questions what she was doing there. In response, Nora just snaps at him and storms off, much to his confusion. After this, Envy Bot arrives at the village and the team bands together. Dr. Eggman was right about his robot working when it begins to pursue Nora, capturing her. Her friends try to save her, but Tails is the one who finishes the job, catching her when she falls. After they defeat Envy Bot and the battle is over, Tails wonders aloud why the robot was so focused on Nora, to which the others replied in false innocence they have no idea...until Knuckles obliviously reveals that it was because she thought he and Zooey were crushing on each other, causing everyone all to scold him. Confused, Tails states that he doesn't have a crush on Zooey, and he was only fixing her toaster. He also adds that he already has a crush on another girl, Nora's jealously rising again as she wastes no time asking him who it was. In response, Tails just stared at her with a smirk before leaving, prompting the otter to begin insisting whiningly for him to tell her, but he keeps his mouth shut. This episode would be renamed to "Crushed".
In episode 43 ("Fire in a Crowded Workshop"), Nora would have a very small role, only appearing in the flashbacks when the group happens to run into her on their way to Tails' workshop, completely covered in mud and feathers with a displeased expression on her face. And when one of them asks her what happened, she replies in deadpan, "Don't ask".
In episode 49 ("Role Models"), Nora would get fed up with constantly being told what to do (honestly, what kid wouldn't be) and declares that she doesn't want to be a role model while leaving Amy's House. She later returns for the battle, taking out one of Eggman's robots with her yo-yo, launching D.B through the air and into a trashcan with her Enerbeam after he tries rectifying her behavior, and ushering the children to Meh Burger to keep them occupied while the team fights.
For episode 60 ("In the Midnight Hour"), Nora has a cavity due to forgetting to brush her teeth too many times, but she is afraid of dentists and refuses to get a filling. The pain from the cavity starts to interfere with her daily life, even in battle. Having had enough, Sonic and the others attempt to bring her to the dentist by force, causing her to run away. The team chases after her, doing everything in their power to capture her but to no avail. Exhausted and desperate, the team return to Nora's home again, but the door is locked. They try to reassure the young otter that she is very brave and strong, and if she could handle fighting bad guys, then she can get a filling no problem. A moment of hesitation past before Nora finally unlocks the door to ask her friends if they meant what they said, and they replied that they did. And finally, she gives in and agrees to go to the dentists. Her friends stay in the waiting room while the procedure is being done, and although Nora was nervous at first, she was able to get a filling and was just fine. The team praises her for facing her fears, and she thanks them for believing in her before stating that from now on, she is going to brush her teeth five times a day, so she never gets another cavity. Sonic casually responds with, "Whatever floats your boat, kid". This episode would be renamed to "Tooth or Dare".
For episode 70 ("Unnamed Episode"), It is a very hot day on Bygone Island. Nora and Tails are lazing around the former's house before she gets inspired by her dessert recipe book, and suggest they make the greatest summer treat of all time to cool them down: The Ultimate Sundae. Nora and Tails get started on making it but realize that they are missing just one single ingredient: A golden cherry. Unfortunately, no market in the village sells it since it's so rare, and they must venture to the center of the forest, where a single golden cherry tree grows. The duo made it through the forest and find the center where the golden cherry tree is but are faced with a bull warrior hoarding the fruit for himself. Together, Nora and Tails manage to outsmart the bull and nab some golden cherries for themselves before making their escape. They finally return to the otter's home to finish their dessert, only to discover that Sonic, Knuckles and Amy have already eaten everything, praising them and commenting how much it cooled them down from the heat. In response, Nora and Tails both collapse onto the floor from shock and exhaustion. This episode would be renamed to "Quest for the Ultimate Sundae".
For episode 71 ("Robot Employees"), Team Sonic is ready for a fun beath day together. That is, until they arrive at Nora's house and discover that she has come down with a nasty cold. Sonic expresses how he can't stand getting sick, calling it the worst thing in the world. This proves to be a problem when everyone else starts to catch Nora's cold from taking care of her. One by one they all fell ill, and when Sonic becomes the only healthy one left, he does everything in his power to avoid becoming catching it himself. The episode slowly becomes more and more zombie survival-esque themed. There are even scenes where the blue hedgehog would record himself in mini survival vlogs. In one of them, he goes over his plan to retrieve and utilize the antidote (the bottle of medicine Amy brought earlier for Nora) to save everyone. The mission was difficult. He was nearly touched a few times. But in the end, he was able to nab the medicine and administer it to all of his friends before retreating to his hideout spot. Time past and it was morning again. Sonic cautiously comes out of hiding to check on things and was relieved to see the team no longer sick. Everyone thanks the blue hedgehog for curing them, which he plays it off as no big deal and is glad that he didn't get sick himself...before suddenly sneezing. A moment of silence passes before he says, "Oh no...". This episode would be renamed to "Down with the Sickness".
In episode 85 ("Sticks and Amy's Excellent Staycation"), Nora would just replace Sticks in this episode, and she and Amy would have a girls' weekend while the guys are away at a Dide-itude concert on the other side of the island.
Nora would not make appearances in the following episodes:
Guilt Tripping
Beyond the Valley of the Cubots
Bro-Down Showdown
It Wasn't Me, It Was the One-Armed Hedgehog
Three Men and My Baby!

Sonic X (w/Nora)
Nora would be the one imprisoned by Dr. Eggman in the pilot episode, "Chaos Control Freaks", and would be transported to Earth along with Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles. In "Sonic to the Rescue", she is found on a billboard by firemen before being taken to Area 99 to be studied by the military. Luckily, Nora is rescued by Sonic and Tails, and the three take up residence in the Thorndyke Mansion where Sonic's new friends, Christopher and Chuck Thorndyke, lived.
Cream, Cheese and Vanilla would make their first appearances in an episode during the Egg Moon Arc, after being accidentally transported to Earth by a Chaos Control event caused by Super Sonic and Super Shadow when they stopped Space Colony ARK from crashing into the planet. The rabbit family unfortunately gets separated; Cream and Cheese are all alone and have no idea where Vanilla is. That's when they run into Team Chaotix, who were transported to Earth as well, and Vector (being a self-proclaimed great detective) offers to help her find her mother (solely in hopes of gaining Vanilla's affection, much to Charmy's confusion and Espio's dismay). The group goes through a lot of trouble and hijinks on their mission, but by the end, Cream does reunite with Vanilla, who ran into Team Sonic after being transported and asked the blue hedgehog to help her find her daughter. The two share a heartfelt reunion in the end of the episode and everyone watches from the background with smiles on their faces.
In episode 51 "Friends 'Til the End", near the end of the episode, after Chris confesses his fears of Sonic eventually forgetting all about him being and being lonely again if he leaves, Sonic reassures him that there is no way he could ever forget him, and they'll always be friends no matter how far away they are. Chris then starts having flashbacks of everything he and Sonic have been through together, the last one being the first time they met when he rescued him from the pool. After that, he finally allows Sonic to go home, but not before bidding him a heartfelt farewell and final hug. At the end of the episode, Sonic returns to his home dimension as Chris tearfully watches him go, unable to see the blue hedgehog shedding tears of his own. The episode ends with Chris being found by his parents and is glad to see them.
In episode 52, Nora and Amy have a sleepover where the former asks how the latter has been doing lately since Sonic still hasn't returned and offers to let her live with her. Amy, however, politely declines. Everything else that happens is same that happens in the original canon episode. And in the final scene, six years have passed on Earth. Chris and all of his friends are teenagers now and are on their ways to meet up together. Chris is the last one shown getting ready to leave, and as he is walking down the street, he stops to stare up at the sky with a smile. Coincidentally, Sonic is doing the same from atop of a grassy cliffside, and the episode ends with him running off into the distance in a blue blur. In addition, this episode would be renamed to "Returns and Farewells", and would be the series finale.
And that would be the series! So sorry to all of the Cosmo fans out there, I love her character too. It was a hard decision to make, but I just couldn't smoothly add Nora to the Metarex Saga, (especially since she maybe kinda likes Tails).

Nora's First Appearance
I headcanon that Nora would make her first appearance in 1996, in a game (I can't come up with a name for it) that takes place after "Sonic the Fighters" and before "Sonic Jam". In the game, Sonic and his friends are off to stop Dr. Eggman's evil plans to take over the world using his army of robots, who chases after a fleeing young otter girl. While running away, she ends up tripping and falling over but is luckily saved just in the nick of time by none other than Sonic. Dr. Eggman continues with his plans, commanding his forces out to wreak havoc on the rest of the world. After this happens, the young otter thanks Sonic for saving her life before introducing herself to everyone. Nora then offers to join the team to help them defeat Dr. Eggman, despite their initial reluctance due to her being just a kid. But Nora insists, promising not to get in way and declaring that she refuses to sit around and watch her home get destroyed. Her selfless and determination persuades the others into letting her come. Afterwards, Nora becomes a playable character, utilizing her yo-yo in combat by smacking enemies with it, a special technique called "Yo-Yo Attack". She can also perform "Spin Dash", like the rest of the team.

Nora the Otter (Sonic Prime)
Normal= In the original Green Hill reality, Nora is a kind, courageous and adventurous little otter with a klutzy side. Thankfully, her friends are always there to help her up when she falls. She does expresses mild annoyance to Sonic's ignorance, but still cares and looks up to him, nonetheless. After Green Hill is restored and the timeline resets to a point before the Prism incident, Nora is taken aback by Sonic hugging Dr. Eggman's mech instead of attacking it like everyone expected him to, and noticed his change in personality after the battle. But before the blue hedgehog could tell her and the others about his crazy adventure, a shock wave occurs, and they spring into action once more, together. Her weapon of choice is a green yo-yo with yellow accents, which she can use as a flail for close to mid-ranged combat, restrain enemies, grab and hurl objects, deflect incoming attacks by spinning it, and swing from high altitudes.
Sargeant Nora (New Yoke City counterpart) = In this alternate reality, Sargeant, also known as simply Sarge, is the leader of the Resistance and works alongside Renegade Knucks (her second-in-command) and Rebel Rouge (her informant and strategist). Their mission is to free the citizens of New Yoke City from the oppression of the Chaos Council and restore Green Hill to its original state. Despite her cutesy appearance, she is tough-as-nails, ambitious, serious-minded, and intimidates Sonic sometimes, something her mainstream counterpart never did. However, Sarge is not as cold-hearted as she appears and is willing to give others the benefit of the doubt. She is also very mature for her age and is capable of putting her emotions and/or personal opinions aside for the greater good. Her weapon of choice is an all-black yo-yo with gray accents.
Ivy (Boscage Maze counterpart) = In this alternate reality, Ivy and the Scavengers, Prim, Gnarly, Hangry and Mangey, are struggling to survive in the canopy levels of the jungle ever since Thorn Rose chased them away. But thanks to Sonic, everyone was able to put their conflict behind them, her immediately hugging Thorn after they all come together in peace, which the pink hedgehog reciprocates. At first, Ivy behaves distant and somewhat fearful around strangers, but after warming up to them, is warm-hearted, forgiving and loyal, as well as fierce in battle. Like the other Scavengers, she obeys Prim's orders no matter what. Ivy seems to care a lot for Mangey, as she was distraught when she thought he had been disintegrated and was overjoyed upon discovering he had survived. She was also seen comforting him when he was sad about the Shatterverse ending. Her weapon of choice is a flail.
Pearl (No Place counterpart) = In this alternate reality, Pearl was originally a member of the Angel's Voyage pirate crew under the leadership of Captain Dread, alongside Black Rose, Sails, Batten and Catfish, and is now a part of The Kraken's crew. Pearl tends to be rather clumsy, though it rarely fazes her. She is overall friendly, enthusiastic and does her best to support her crew. Pearl shows loyalty to whoever her current captain is, though her loyalty has limits, and she will demand that another crewman be made captain if they show themselves to be a superior leader. She also seems to care a lot for Sails, as she was distraught when she thought he had been disintegrated and was overjoyed upon discovering he had survived. Her weapon of choice is a sword, like the rest of her crew. Though, according to Knuckles the Dread, Pearl has never been in combat prior to confronting Rusty Rose.
All the counterparts were initially astonished first meeting one another due to their uncanny similarities, but it doesn't take them long to become allies and work together.
Alpha Grim Nora, also known as simply Grim Nora or Grim Nora Alpha, is a robot built in the image of Nora the Otter, used by Nine to combat Sonic and Shadow in the Grim. Grim Nora has very little personality, due to being only made to be an obedient servant to Nine, never talking, and only showing emotion through its eyes. It sports most of the abilities of Nora, such as enhanced speed and skilled hand-to-hand combat, and wields a yo-yo in battle.
In this series, the voice actor I chose for Nora and all of her counterparts is Claire Corlett.

Concept and Creation:
Nora's attire was adjusted to match the jungle theme of "Sonic Boom". She was meant to appear as a "cute little adventurer", as opposed to just being one of the subordinate characters like in previous Sonic games and media.
Appearance:
Nora is a petite, anthropomorphic otter with brown fur, a cream white muzzle with short cheek tufts, medium-large rounded ears with pink inners on top of her head, a small, black nose, blue eyes with a single eyelash on the side, and two short, thick strands of hair sticking out of her head while the rest is styled in low pigtails with bright green scrunchies.
Her attire is a bright green sleeveless dress which has a white collar and two yellow buttons, white gloves on her hands, a slanted gray and yellow belt around her waist to hold her yo-yo, yellow sports tape wrapped around her legs, white socks, and bright green shoes with yellow soles and white toe boxes and accents. She also occasionally wears her Communicator.
In addition to her usual clothes, Nora has a number of additional attires:
At the Awardy Awards, Nora wore a bright green dress with spaghetti straps, a yellow ribbon sash around the waist and thin, yellow lining near the bottom. She also wore bright green flats and accessorized a daisy flower brooch pin.
For underwater missions, Nora has her own high-tech attire which includes a bright green wetsuit with a white stripe on each side and her face icon on the chest, yellow flippers resembling her shoes and a transparent, bright green face mask attached to an oxygen tank on her back.
When playing for the Pin Dashers, Nora wears a dark blue and white-striped bowling shirt with matching bowling shoes. Her shirt is likewise emblazoned with the team's logo.
For cold weathers, Nora has a thick, bright green coat that stops at her knees with a gray zipper and white wool around the neck, cuffs and along the bottom. She also wears green earmuffs, black stockings, her usual belt around her waist, yellow mittens and bright green and yellow winter boots.
On holidays, Nora has been known to wear a version of her dress with a red collar and buttons, along with a black belt with a golden buckle around her waist, red and white striped stockings, and short green boots with black bottoms.
Personality:
Nora is very upbeat, bubbly and outspoken. She likes to be positive and believes there is a bright side to everything. She gets along well with everyone, though there are a handful of people whom she dislikes. Nora has a love for adventuring, displaying a courageous side, and hopes to one day become a strong hero like her friends.
Her most notable trait is her clumsiness, which has become a running gag throughout the series. Every time she would trip and fall over, she immediately recovers while saying "I'm okay" with a smile. While she doesn't like messing up, her klutzy side doesn't stop her from trying her best, as she always gets back up again.
Due to her age, Nora does have some childish tendencies and habits, such as liking stuffed animals, naivety to certain things, and throwing tantrums. However, she dislikes being viewed or treated as a kid, and will often go out of her way to prove that she is not. Nora eventually accepts that she in fact is a child, and thus, is not ready to do certain things on her own. She is also not afraid to voice her anger or confront others when she feels like they are in the wrong.
Powers and Abilities:
Though not on the same level as most of her teammates, Nora possesses great physical abilities. She is a skillful fighter and more than capable of holding her own in battle. She is shown to have high durability, able to withstand heavy blows and recover in a short amount of time. She also has a great level of stamina and rarely ever gets tired, even in combat. Nora also has impressive running speed.
Nora is proficient at swimming, capable of effortlessly maneuvering through and underwater, even at high speed.
After eating an Evil Cookie infused with Eggman's DNA, Nora briefly gained genius-level intelligence. However, it reverted back to her normal level after being cured.
Weapons and Equipment:
Nora has displayed remarkable talent in wielding her yo-yo, capable of defending herself and defeating opponents with it in a variety of ways. Nora can use her yo-yo as a flail and inflict great damage onto opponents, restrain others with its string, spin it around rapidly to deflect incoming attacks, and grab and hurl nearby objects.
Besides her yo-yo, Nora wields Communicator, a multifunctional and waterproof smartwatch-like device created by Tails. This device allows Nora wide-ranged radio communication between similar devices, and generate its own Enerbeam, an energy tether that can latch onto objects or form a makeshift whip/rope. It can also tell the time, interface with Nora's tech-based equipment for remote operation, and assume other powers. It even comes with its own tracking device.
Nora also has a unique set of clothes referred to as a Luminous Suit, which can provide her with light in otherwise light-deprived environments.
Relationships:
Amy Rose= Amy and Nora are best friends and the only females on the team, their relationship being similar to that of sisters. They sometimes team up together in battle and hang out together in their free time. Nora always goes to Amy first for advice, as she trusts her judgement the most. The two support each other no matter what. While they have good chemistry, Nora does get annoyed by Amy's overprotectiveness and bossiness, just as Amy finds her impulsiveness and klutzy nature bothersome. Nora also dislikes when Amy treats her like a child. Overall, they care a lot about one another and always have each other's backs.
Miles "Tails" Prower= Nora and Tails are close friends and the youngest members of the team. They enjoy each other's company and even work together in combat. Nora also takes interest in Tails' inventions and encourages his work, even when they don't always turn out right. It has been hinted that Nora might have romantic feelings for Tails, showing signs of jealousy whenever she sees him with Zooey. However, Tails revealed to her near the end of the episode that he likes someone else before walking away with a smirk, implying that he was talking about her. Overall, the two possess immense care and respect for each other.
Sonic the Hedgehog= Nora and Sonic are good friends and teammates. She admires his heroism and respects him as a leader. She knows that he will always be there to save the day. There are times when Nora gets irritated by the blue hedgehog's ego and will voice her anger when he is wrong or goes too far. She also dislikes when he treats her like a child. Nevertheless, the two have a lot of trust in each other and have a sibling-like bond.
Knuckles the Echidna= Knuckles is one of Nora's friends and teammates. Despite his stupidity, she always treats him nicely and tries her best not to hurt his feelings. Knuckles is shown to be protective of her, which she is grateful for. However, she dislikes when he treats her like a child. Regardless, they are completely loyal to one another and to Knuckles, Nora helps fill out the kind of loneliness he gets about being the last of his kind by being the family he longs for.
Dr. Eggman= Like the rest of her team, Nora's sworn enemy is Dr. Eggman, though their relationship is complex. On one hand, Nora always fights Eggman to foil his plans for domination. On the other hand, when not battling, Nora and Eggman keep a rather passive relationship where they let each other be nearby without seeking conflict. Despite this, she does not trust Eggman when he claims that he is not up to something. Because of her constant victories over him, Nora has a tendency to underestimate Eggman and forget how dangerous he can be.
Barry= Barry was a destructive and dangerous robot disguised as an adorable, little bear, created by Dr. Eggman. Nora was captivated on sight by Barry. While her friends expressed suspicion towards the seemingly innocent robot, Nora ignored them as she refused to believe that something as cute as Barry could possibly be evil. However, after Barry revealed his true nature and nearly destroys her friends, Nora learns that one cannot judge a book by its cover, and she saves them. The team then worked together to defeat Barry once and for all.
