This is proven fact. You can use those fancy shmancy electrolyte packets, but those often have added sugar and calories that technically break your fast. A little sprinkle of kosher salt into your water (not a lot, just a pinch) will have you feeling significantly better than just chugging drinks and diluting your body of what it needs. If youre just doing a day long fast it might not be necessary, but the people who fast for very long periods are more at risk of low electrolytes.
You do not want to upset the delicate balance of your electrolytes! Dont play around, you can die if you arent careful. Know your limits!

Black beans, spinach, tomatoes, and almonds are incredible ways to increase your iron if youre struggling. Make sure you take vitamin c though or you wont absorb it.

Asian diet teas are the best laxatives i couldve asked for
Not nearly as painful as the ones i used to get from walmart, the boxes come with 20 tea bags, they taste good, theyre cheap (for me because i live in a place with a high asian population), and they use natural blends
I only have to drink them on days that i eat a lot and the day after i never worry about gaining anymore

Fun little thing I learned about this whole debate:
Many nutirtionists (including mine) will tell you to drink diet soda over regular to lose weight. This is because regular soda has a shit ton of sugar and a decent amount of calories. People tend to overlook calories from what they drink and when cutting out juice and soda they often see a big change in weight. Some people argue that it makes your appetite stronger well actual sugar makes it stronger too so either option is not good anyway. Also, diet soda was not just made to be 0 calories it was also meant to be an alternative for diabetics. Type 2 diabetics will suffer severe effects from regular soda so diet soda wins there.
Now about the "cancer". I was watching the news and there was a study done again about aspartame and this is the gist of it. Theres different categories that cancer causing agents are in and aspartame is in the same category as like working night shift and using certain products. This category is basically "if used or done in extreme excess it is possible to develop cancer". In order to reach the extreme with diet cokes you need like two liters every day for a long time to be at risk. In other words, drinking 3-4 a day isnt gonna kill you. Now if you arent drinking water with those cokes id be more worried about kidney stones than cancer.
In conclusion, anyone who says diet soda is worse for you than regular soda is likely talking out of their ass and more often than not is overweight or not the healthiest anyway.
"You know diet soda is worse for you than regular soda" I literally do not care. it's 0 calories.
