Stupid headcanons! - King Candy

Since I was bored, I imagined how various WIR characters would behave on social media / in group chats. Enjoy it! Also, since I was asked for a headcanon on King Candybug I decided to end this type of post with King Candy and Candybug. Of course I will post many more fun headcanons!

King Candy

I know it's always the same GIF, but I like it too much so I put it everywhere.

How he would behave on social media - Unlike his past self, King Candy would succeed in his goal of becoming an influencer.

He would meticulously check EVERYTHING on his profile, such as likes, followers, and interactions (after all, he wants to always have everything under control… right?). He would post the results of the competitions every day, always putting himself in the foreground, of course.

He would comment on videos of stupid jokes and puns and send tons of them to Sour Bill (without ever receiving a response). Of course, he would block Vanellope.

How he would behave in a group chat - In a group chat, he would be the administrator, and he would really activate the "only administrators can send messages" function. After all, he is the king.

King Candybug

Uhm... I actually wonder how he can use a phone with those claws he has. BUT! We'll pretend he can.

How he would behave on social media - He would be the nightmare of social media. He would report the profiles of those who have done something to him, he would hack anything he could get his hands on just for the fun of it and he would post images that would be censored by the social network because they were too scary.

But we, who are your followers, love you anyway ∼

How he would behave in a group chat - Just like on social networks, he would spread trouble in a chat too. He would send harmful links full of viruses or simply insults.

Maybe he would even have a chat where he could talk to himself, when he is torn between being Turbo or King Candy.

This AU reminds me of a fanfiction I stumbled upon a while ago that, unfortunately, was interrupted by the author. The few chapters published are really well written and very sweet!!

I loved the particular representation of the twins and the innocence of a newly "born" Turbo, far from the Turbo that the other characters in the arcade knew. For this reason, the "new" Turbo is distanced from the others and feared.

I highly recommend it! ♥

In one chapter, Tapper advises the newborn Turbo to talk to Vanellope to "ask for forgiveness" (even though he has no idea who Vanellope is, nor why he should ask for forgiveness), and asks the twins for some advices.

Turbo then decides to make some paper flowers to bring to Vanellope to make a good impression (aw he's such a cutie patootie) but when he wants to give them to her a character from another game steals them and TEARS THEM ALL OFF.

And Vanellope's point of view:

I GENUINELY CRIED.

I spent 10 hours on this and I don't even like it anymore ...

Hehe anyway AU idea is that Litwack was able to fine and purchase a new Turbotime cabinet after YEARS. All the other games don't trust him, and kind of treat him like shit. This Turbo has no idea why no one likes him, and unsurprisingly he hates it.

I haven't decided 100% on an AU name yet, but right now I'm calling it Restored Turbo. (I'm also thinking about making a Rebooted Turbo AU lmk if that sounds interesting:3)

It's time for theories!

A few days ago I was doing some research on Wikipedia and I found something very interesting:

A glitch, which is slight and often temporary, differs from a more serious bug which is a genuine functionality-breaking problem. Alex Pieschel, writing for Arcade Review, said: "bug is often cast as the weightier and more blameworthy pejorative, while glitch suggests something more mysterious and unknowable inflicted by surprise inputs or stuff outside the realm of code".

Basically, a bug is a programming flaw that causes a game to fail, while a glitch doesn't actually affect gameplay.

So King Candy made everyone believe that Vanellope was a bug and that her existence could affect the game. In reality, if we consider Vanellope as a glitch, she wouldn't hurt anyone with her "anomaly".

On the other hand, a bug isn't always a problem, and sometimes it becomes an ally of the players. In this regard, Vanellope's power comes to mind.

The Turbo saga continues!

Since Turbo has been in my mind for years now, anything that even remotely reminds me of him makes me laugh like an idiot.

Last time I imagined Turbo relaxing on a beach and drinking a cocktail. Today I found something that could continue this story.

Ah, in all this (at least, according to my headcanon) the twins are building a sand man (???) in the shape of Turbo.

I don't know where you got these ideas from, but the coconut with the T engraved on it is BRILLIANT (and definitely in character), as are the shorts with an ugly, retro pattern!

Since I was bored, I imagined how various WIR characters would behave on social media / in group chats. Enjoy it!

Turbo

How he would behave on social media - Oh, well. First of all, he would try to become an influencer and accumulate as many followers and likes as possible. He would always like to be at the center of the DRAMA and would publish videos in which he brags about the races he won.

However, he would probably only have 3 followers, namely the TurboTime twins and Felix just out of pity. Obviously one of the twins would cheer him on, the other would make fun of him.

He will comment on ANYTHING in a rude manner or with dark humor, getting banned left and right. I wouldn't be surprised if they blocked his profile due to "bad behavior". Obviously he would try to hack the twins' profiles, just for fun.

How he would behave in a group chat - In a group chat Turbo would probably turn on the "only admin can send messages" feature. Beyond that, he would spam hundreds of photos of himself EVERY DAY, receiving messages ranging from congrats for the race, Turbo! to 🖕🏻.

TurboTime Twins

How they would behave on social media - They would definitely have a profile in common. They would post funny videos in which they enjoy playing pranks on Turbo (and commented rudely by him himself).

Of course they would watch memes and prank videos. They would save them only to then recreate them at Turbo's expense.

How they would behave in a group chat - Since they would be victims of Turbo's uncontrolled spam, they would have an additional group with Felix to vent about the situation. They would probably force Felix to hang out with Turbo every now and then.

I imagine one of the twins to be cute and kind and who would use aestethic combinations of emoji; the other would write very few messages, without punctuation and very short, like mh, thx.

Since I was bored, I imagined how various WIR characters would behave on social media / in group chats. Enjoy it!

Vanellope

How she would behave on social media - Vanellope would have a profile full of selfies with Ralph. She wouldn't care much about it from an aesthetic point of view, she would simply publish what she wants.

She would love memes and brainrot. She would send tons of them to Ralph every day and, probably, she would create them herself. Obviously she would watch videos of races and go-karts and comment using abbreviations and slang like LMFAO or LOL (which she would have to promptly explain to Ralph).

How she would behave in a group chat - Obviously she would be the admin of the Sugar Rush group chat after kicking out King Candy. She would always send lots of photos of the races.

Taffyta

How she would behave on social media - Obviously she would be an influencer and would post a lot of photos with Rancis and Candlehead and makeup tutorial videos. She would take great care of his profile to make it 𝓪𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓬.

At the same time, she would write very acidic comments accompanied by pink and sugar emojis. A perfect bittersweet contrast.

How she would behave in a group chat - She would send tons of selfies of herself, liked and commented on only by Candlehead. Vanellope would probably tease her in a playful way, but Taffyta would immediately post videos on social media in which she vents and cries.

Sour Bill

How he would behave on social media - No apps installed. Nothing at all. He probably wouldn't even have a smartphone, just a Nokia 3310 which he uses once a month.

How he would behave in a group chat - Assuming he has the ability to use a smartphone, he would probably only text and type SMS with T9 at first. If he were put in a group chat he would NEVER write and would only see messages once in a while.

Stupid headcanons! - Fix-It Felix Jr.

Since I was bored, I imagined how various WIR characters would behave on social media / in group chats. Enjoy it!

Ralph

How he would behave on social media - His social profile would have very few photos (probably only a couple taken by Vanellope and posted by her), and in general he would interact little because he is a bit of a boomer and finds it difficult to use "new technological means".

He would often watch videos of demolitions and construction sites but his sweet side would lead him to cry in front of sentimental videos / posts.

How he would behave in a group chat - Even in this case he would send a few messages, which would consist, most of the time, of a simple emoji (always the same, a bit like when dads reply with 👍🏻). Sometimes he would write everything in CAPS LOCK, not because he is angry, but because he would simply turn it on by accident and not know how to remove it.

Ralph would always be very kind and friendly in a group chat, however Gene would always come along and break the fuck and start an argument between the two. Of course, Felix would try to moderate the discussion, failing miserably.

Felix

How he would behave on social media - Felix would definitely post a lot of photos with Tamora. Photos of the wedding, but in general of the two of them together.

He would also watch videos of construction sites, but in particular videos of renovations or tutorials / DIY. He would probably also watch videos of guys building a pool out of mud. Of course he would get lost watching cute kitten / doggy videos for hours and his feed probably also offers him videos of Rhea Ripley since he loves mommies.

How he would behave in a group chat - Felix would always be so sweet. He would send cute, cuddly texts and probably 'good morning' pictures every morning. He would always use great punctuation and abuse emojis and hearts.

The time has come.

Yes, I will talk about the "sequel". I think (and hope) we all feel the same way about the film.

As for me, I was super excited when they announced RBTI (a sequel to my favorite Disney classic?? BUT I LOVE IT!) and couldn't wait to see it. After waiting SIX LONG YEARS and after having made thirty thousand theories about a possible return of Turbo I went to see it and… this was my honest reaction when I left the theater:

Of course, after seeing the epochal disaster that was RBTI, I thought of various things they could have included or changed to make it more… uhm, interesting. As always these are personal theories / headcanons.

Ralph should have fallen in love.

Okay, that's weird, I know, but hear me out. In my opinion it would have been very interesting to see our protagonist struggling with love. Obviously I wouldn't have seen it as the main plot of the film, but only as a secondary thread.

It would have definitely made Ralph smarter compared to how they made him in RBTI and, above all, it would have started an evolution in his relationship with Vanellope.

Give me a clumsy Ralph who doesn't know how to behave around a person who loves him beyond a friendship. Give me a Vanellope who, at first, doesn't fully understand what's happening and, perhaps, feels a hint of envy and resentment because she's afraid of being alone again.

And please, give me Felix and Tamora giving Ralph advices on how to know he's in love and how to deal with it. It would have been turbotastic fantastic and, above all, it would have brought back a Disney love story!

Vanellope would have to deal with her traumas.

It's true, six years pass between the first and the second film, and Vanellope has probably had plenty of time to forget the past.

But if I were her I would still be afraid of being denigrated, of living alone and without friends (in particular, I would be afraid of losing Ralph) but, above all, I would be afraid of a possible return of King Candy, the source of all my trauma and torment that lasted FIFTEEN YEARS.

It would have been nice to see Vanellope's ironic nature disappear when faced with these thoughts. It would have been nice to have a discussion about these topics between her and Ralph. IT WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE BEEN A HEALTHIER RELATIONSHIP THAN THE ONE THEY SHOWED US IN THE SEQUEL DAMN IT.

Show me that Van still doesn't fully trust the other Sugar Rush racers, that she's afraid they're still talking behind her back. Show me she's afraid to go back down the same stretch of track where Turbo almost killed her. Prove to me that sometimes, when she sleeps in the castle, she feels like she's still in Diet Cola.

Felix should have remembered the past.

I always thought that instead of a sequel, WIR needed a prequel. It would have been wonderful to see glimpses of Ralph and Felix's life, but more importantly, it would have been great to see Turbo's attitude and life before the fateful accident at Roadblasters.

However, these are all things hinted at in the first film. Leaving aside the idea of ​​a prequel, in the sequel it would have been nice to see flashback clips born from Felix's mind. But why Felix?

Until proven otherwise, Felix and Turbo were neighbors and, at the very least, acquaintances. Let's say they were friends.

If that were the case, seeing Turbo reappear after the '87 incident (IS THAT THE BITE OF '87?? Sorry, I couldn't resist) and seeing him try to kill a little girl would be destabilizing for a friend of his.

So it would have been interesting to see what Felix, who knew Turbo quite well, thought about it, and maybe see pieces of their past life where the pilot was still a "normal" person, maybe.

There are still many things I would have liked to see on the big screen, maybe I'll create another post about it.

I was wondering...

In Hero's Duty there is a church AND A PRIEST?? DO THEY ALSO CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE??

In my opinion it's a very interesting thing that isn't talked about enough. That priest must have appeared somewhere, someone must have created him to "be a priest".

Do NPCs believe in God? To the avatars of the various games, Litwack, as well as other humans, are considered "gods", I guess. But what if NCPs believed in something beyond humans? Perhaps they believe that they too have been "programmed" to play the various consoles by someone above all.

The fact that NPCs know what a wedding is is also… unusual.

And terribly interesting, dammit.

It's time for theories!

Disclaimer: English is not my native language (I am proudly Italian!), so I apologize for any errors!

I'm probably about to say something stupid or at least something that many have already said, but after yet another rewatch I was wondering about Vanellope's "power".

At the end of the movie we find out that Vanellope's "glitch" was probably a player-usable power-up all along, and not a programming flaw (I assume). She states this once he crosses the finish line and, of course, recovers his memories.

So King Candy, when he made changes to the game, limited himself to "locking up" everyone's memories, including Vanellope's: by doing so she wouldn't have remembered her "power", she wouldn't have been able to manage it which she does when she finds herself faced with Turbo's ugly face and she would always have mistaken it for a flaw otherwise she would have kicked Candy's ass from the start, just like all the other characters.

But when Ralph questions Sour Bill, he tells him that once Vanellope crosses the finish line, it won't be a glitch anymore.

What does it mean?

According to my theory, King Candy "exploited" Vanellope's power making it, in everyone's eyes, a programming error. He didn't create it from scratch. Basically, Candy didn't make Vanellope a glitch, he just overthrew her and erased her memories.

If Candy had made Vanellope a mistake, after the reset (like Sour Bill had said), she would no longer have her power. But this clearly remains with her.

So are Sour Bill's words an attempt to explain something he saw and can't explain? Is he the one who thinks she's a glitch? But above all, how does Sour Bill remember the changes made by Candy? In theory he too should have the memory of a peanut like the others.

At this point the following doubts arise: is Vanellope really a glitch? Did Candy make it this way, and despite the reset, did his changes remain permanent? Or is Vanellope's glitch, in fact, her power all along (as I believe it is)? And why on earth would Sour Bill remember certain things, if his memory was also imprisoned by Candy? That mint doesn't convince me.

I'm not sure I explained myself properly, but I need answers!
