I have been busy lately but i hope to start posting more frequently atleast! Starting with a lil soft redesign of my Tommy and Tammy design

Hi, it is currently 01:50 o’clock but i just learned that the developers who made Mouthwashing are swedish and i need to share something real quick to satisfy an itch in my brain.

So, in the background of the game you can see a specific board game, yeah? More precisly, this game:

It exist in many different countries and goes by different games but because it is a Swedish Developer it is highly likely it is called ”fia med knuff”- ”fia” which derives from the latin word for ”fio” = to become, to happen, and as it is a subjunctive it can more be translated to ”let it be done” and ”med knuff” is Swedish for ”With push” resulting in the whole name being translated to:

Fia med knuff (Sw.) = Let it be done with push

To quickly summarise the rules of the games (based on personal experience) each player has four pieces each of a chosen colour, and the goal of the game is to get all of your characters through the whole game into your own ”nest” or ”base” or ”ladder” whichever name works. So you as the player throw the dice (personally i’ve never played it with two dices only one, but i think theres not much of a difference) and if you get a 1 or a 6 you get to take one piece to start traveling. If you get a 6 you get to another round aswell, and each player you bump into has to put their player back into their homebase and thus start over.

I think this game has interesting symbolism that is worth to note. First of all, how it’s only four players that can play, which means one of the crew members always have to stay behind. I can see this as representing a couple of things.

For Daisuke, how he’s an intern and was originally not meant to be on that ship but got added in at the last second.

For Anya, for being the the only female but also for being someone- who Jucky claims, to be the ”least qualified” since she never graduated med school whilst Swansea is atleast a qualified technician and Curly a qualified captain, (and Jbortion being a hypocrit)

For Swansea, being the oldest and in my opinion, perhaps the top 2 most complex characters in the game.

For Curly, he got brunt ig.

For Jucky, we all know why.

For Tulpar, it only being built to help the original amount of crew members, i.e, the pods.

And as the name of the game, Jimbo always try to get his way by forcing and pushing his players which in the end results in them, one by one, dying. And, as a feature in the game, even if you have passed through the whole board, if you fail to go into your nest, you have to repeat the whole round (you can’t go back, undo your mistake). That being said, by the end of Mouthwashing, even if Jihopefortheworseafterlifeforhim was by the end of the game and could go into his base to finally win, he decided to pass it.. or end the game altogether.

I may dive a bit too deep into this small detail but i genuinely think theres more ways to connect the boardgame to the actual game or maybe i just look wayyyy into small details.

Playing around with drawing Jinx/ AU Powder cause i want to find a way to draw her that is comfortable for me but still can be traced back to her og design😭😭 but Arcane season 2 was so good, so worth the wait!

ARCANE SEASON 2 ARC 3 SPOILERS‼️‼️

I noticed this while watching episode 7: “Pretend like its the first time”, not that small of a detail but:

(I’m sorry if it is incoherent i just really needed to get this out.)

During the innovative party scene where Ekko dances with Powder, the song that plays is ”ma meilleure ennemie” by Stromae & Pomme, which translates to ”my best (female) enemy” which clearly refers to Powder, or Jinx.

In the intro begins a small chant where they say

Je t’aime, je t’attends […]

Meaning “ i love you, i am waiting for you” which clearly explains Ekko before coming to terms that Jinx no longer is Powder, since he fell inlove with Powder he keeps waiting for Powder to come back. This mental dilemma of having to accept that even if its the same body, same face its not the same person anymore, which is later supported by the first chorus where Stromae sings

La pire des bénédiction, La plus belle des malédictions

“The worse of all blessings, the best of all curses”, Powder was the best thing that happened to him while Jinx was the worse thing which makes this relationship with her- this connection, both a blessing and a curse.

But what made the scene more interesting was when they danced and the part

Mais ma meilleure ennemie, c'est toi [but my best enemy, that is you.]

Fuis-moi, le pire, c'est toi et moi [flee from me, the worse is you and i]

Mais si tu cherches encore ma voix [but if you keep searching for my voice]

Oublie-moi, le pire, c'est toi et moi [forget me, the worse is you and i]

I know we all wanted Ekko to stay in that timeline and be happy with Powder but remember season 1 where- whilst every Jinx or Vi centric episodes always began with a flashback, the Ekko centric one started from the present. Indicating that Ekko forces himself to always look forward than trying to let the past get to him. For exempel in - please correct me if i’m wrong, season 1 episode 5 when Vi said that she should’ve been there to help Ekko, he only says ”that’s is a good way to drive yourself crazy”. He immidiantly shut down any thought of what could’ve been, indirectly forcing Vi to think about the present. Especially afterwards when Vi talks about getting Powder back when Ekko has already fully acknowledge that there is only Jinx. All of this makes him being in that timeline more difficult for him since it is exactly what he wanted to avoid, being stuck in what could’ve been.

Dancing with Powder just engraves this furthee into him, this is unhealthy for Ekko since it’s the relation ship between him and Jinx. As to reiterate ”if you keep searching for Powder’s, voice, stop, it will just drive you crazy”

Also to refer to the pre-chorus!

First one:

Tu sais c'qu'on dit [you know what they say]

Sois près d'tes amis les plus chers [stay close to your dearest friends]

Mais aussi [but even]

Encore plus près d'tes adversaires [even closer to your adversaries (i.e antagonists, villains)

And the second one

Je t'avais dit : "Ne regarde pas en arrière" [i have told you : “dont look back]

Le passé qui te suit te fait la guerre [the past will follow you and take you to war]

(This is pretty self explanatory)

Additionally, before the kiss scene where Ekko says “can we pretend like it’s the first the first time”, further insinuates the whole, “this is my present even thought it’s a part of your past”.

TL:DR

This scene hurts

(Authors note:

I know it is not a small detail and not that significant but i really wanna acknowledge how every part of the Arcane series have a significance into the story. And honestly i needed to vent. It was so fun last night watching the scene and hearing ”le pire, c’est toi et moi” and just go ”oh, word?”. I am not French but i studied it so it just felt good from that POV too.

Edit: i was not aware that Arcane gets critizied over how litteral the songs are to the scene but i still stand by my point about why i really liked the song and this scene specifically)

Rarity!

Lil more lazy with this design. I like the idea that they would change alot pre and post their first transformation- Pinkie with more pink hair and in my head i’d say that rarity has more straight and thin hair at first that becomes more curly and gets more volume after.

Felt like redesigning Pinkie Pie! I felt that even tho i really like equestria girls and MLP, it is very little diversity on a show for kids. So heres my small take on a new redesign of Pinkie!

Ideas:

Pinkie was born with Generalised vitligo, or non-segmented Vitligo (i.e Vitligo is an auto-immune disordee that causes patches of skin to lose pigment. Generalised Vitiligo is a category when the patches appear almost geometrical on both sides of the body, and also all over the body.)

Pinkie is the second shortest in the group.

She is still an earth pony but when turned to her equestrian form Pinkie is significantly slower and because she also does not have wings, Pinkie utilises a pair of rollerskates to travel fast when it is needed. (So basically she have a rope with her and makes someone drag her while she skates)

Because of transforming, pinkies hair gains more pink undertones and is pink at her roots as the colours grows and retracts for her roots.

And thats basically everything i have in mind. I don’t know if i should do more, but i liked it so i might do more, any ideas?

Redesigning a certain someone cause i got bored- full piece coming either tomorrow or the day after

Recently got into Gravity falls and came up with a small AU of my own🤭

First concept art of this lil au- so basically the idea is that Mabel comes back to Gravity Falls to visit before moving away (this is set a few years after Weirdmageddon) and there she meets Bill. Of course she is shocked, confused and scared but she gets even more concerned to hear that Bill is there to strike a deal with a human because he needs a human host for an unspecified reason (which is related to Axolotl). Bill tries to convince Mabel as he himself states: “i’ve started going to therapy!”. Mabel with Distrust towards Bill decides to help him only to figure out how to stop him from his eventual evildoings.

Of course, this idea isn’t fully fleshed out yet but i hope to further play with this idea!
