NEW REVIEW OF HUNIECAM STUDIO!
I’m back to talk about the long-awaited sequel/spin-off/weird experiment thing to HuniePop! Will it be just as addicting and clever as its predecessor, or will it burn like the flames of genital herpes? Will this video get me kicked off of YouTube? The answers lie within!

MY GAMES OF THE YEAR VIDEO IS UP!
Time to look back on 2015 in the world of videogames and sift out the gold nuggets from the microtransaction-laden mobile waste and endless spew of MOBAs. Thank you for watching my videos all throughout 2015, there's even more idiocy to follow in 2016!

I DID A LET’S PLAY OF UNDERTALE!
Mitch dives into the latest indie mega-darling: Undertale! He kills a really nice character! He dates a skeleton! He rants about Tumblr! Prepare to see Undertale as you've... probably already seen it a lot of times before, actually.

I just wanted to ask the name of your podcast (I'm assuming you have one) also if you do, what do you guys generally talk about in your podcasts?
We’re called Random Assault. (Search Random Assault Podcast, you’ll find us, or go to www.randomassaultpodcast.com) We used to be a videogame-oriented show but we’re almost 200 episodes in so we’ve evolved into just talking about random stuff. Seriously, the end of one of the latest episodes was us discussing the Pioneer Plate (google it), and then talking about Undertale very briefly.
FAIR WARNING THOUGH: The show is VERY NSFW. We haven’t been afraid to shy away from naughty language of all forms (swears, slurs, etc). I think we’ve also described ourselves as the “anti-SJW podcast”, or at the very least, “a show for bad people, by bad people”. But it’s all in good fun, and I can say that my co-hosts are definitely truly awesome and kind individuals, so don’t let that put you off and take it with a grain of salt.
A Best-Of compilation hosted by myself just went up on the Soundcloud account last week, and it’ll be going up on our website and iTunes sometime today. It’s a perfect introduction for new listeners.

Here’s the banner I drew for episode 193 of the Random Assault Podcast, modeled after Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

What I’ve been playing:
Well since I haven’t posted a ton of art lately, might as well update on the games I’ve been playing.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D: Fantastic handheld port of an oft-overlooked Wii RPG (the only stuff I knew about this game prior was because of Smash Bros). If you have the New 3DS, this is a must-have title, as it’s a really good action RPG with anti-frustration features and a fantastic combat system reminiscent of Final Fantasy XII (which is one of my favorites anyway).
Persona 4: Dancing All Night: Honestly? It’s a sub-par music game with a terrible story mode that’s repetitive and extremely boring. And there’s plenty of design choices that make the music game portion of the experience not nearly as good as, say, Project Diva. Somehow the character who’s the focal point of the plot turns out to be the worst thing about her own game. Which is bad because there’s at least 5 other new non-playable characters who are way better and more interesting.
Yoshi’s Woolly World: Kirby somehow lost most of his abilities in transition to a yarn game (flying, stealing enemy powers, sliding, etc.), but Yoshi managed to retain all of his, so this game ends up playing exactly like Yoshi’s Island, which is a good thing. Too bad the co-op is the downright worst co-op mode I’ve ever played; it feels like it wasn’t even balanced for two people half of the time. (Which is really bad because that’s the entire purpose of the amiibo.) Still, really solid platformer that’s worth any Wii U owner’s time.
Fire Emblem Awakening: Finally got around to popping this one into my 3DS and man, oh man, did I forget how much I really like this series. I’m still essentially a noob considering The Sacred Stones was the only other game in the series I’ve played, but this game is so polished and welcoming to newcomers that it doesn’t matter. (There’s even an option to remove permadeath if you’re a casual player.) Everything about the way this game looks and sounds is firing on all cylinders for me.

Here’s the banner that I made for Random Assault Episode 187. I’m really happy with how this one came out; I don’t dabble in realistic style often, but I think I did pretty well with the lighting and shadows (emulating the iconic Platoon pose, of course). I also had a lot of fun making the plumes of smoke and the reflections of the fire underneath.
The background is based on the All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros 3, specifically. And the acorn with the symbol on it is because we talked about acorns and how they’re “nature’s dreidels”.

Hi I'm new to Twitch Streaming but I was wondering if you could design some labels (about me section, FAQ, Rules and such) I saw on Firefoxx's stream that you were mentioned in her designers area. Please get back to me :)
I would, but you’re anon right now! If you send me a non-anon one I can give you my e-mail so we can figure stuff out. Or maybe tweet at me @Aforextreme

An Update on Things
So I finally moved in with my buddy coughmanic. Got him up here to Pennsylvania and we’re doing fine. Been more than two weeks now.
The moving process was a bit stressful due to some unhappy accidents but everything’s okay, I’m just basically saying that I’ve spent a lot less time drawing and more time just chilling out and playing games. Specifically Splatoon, Bloodborne, and I finally broke out Xenoblade Chronicles 3D.
Of course, now that Cough is here, we’re going to change that. We’re already planning some YouTube shenanigans including videogame stuff and some original animations to bands we’ve desperately wanted to animate for for a while now. So having the both of us working in close proximity should make things go way smoother. We just need to work out the kinks with his work schedule currently. Same with me; when I’m not at work, I’m doing video stuff for that job, commissions for people that I didn’t finish before the move, or working on my review series for YouTube, in order to keep putting content out there.
I’m going to try and post drawings on here more often but the days have been busy. Things are starting to settle into place though, and that’s good. So, I ain’t dead, is what I’m saying.
