Things I've learned : Advice for those who are struggling

Take time for yourself and don't feel guilty about it you NEED "you time"
Remember to do self care !! Even when you have no motivation !! Brush your hair ,wash your face, and take a nice calming bath or shower!!
Wear what you love and don't let other people's opinions stop you from being true to yourself !! Wear that "weird" hello kitty shirt with pride honey !!!
Bodies come in all shapes and sizes and there is no such thing as an ugly person!! there are only ugly personalities!!
Coping skills dont always mean the same thing it's different for each person if watching cartoons helps you relax when you need to then do it !! There are so many different ways to cope like fidget toys or deep breathing or even listening to calming music!! do what works for you !!
Write a letter forgiving yourself if you are internalizing guilt
Start a journal and write down your feelings and thoughts but don't make it all bad stuff write down positive affirmations and your favorite memories from childhood there's lots of prompts out there for inspiration!!
Talk to yourself with love and kindness don't let your mind bully you from loving yourself
Don't look at yourself through other people's eyes
Pick out a hope symbol (something that gives you hope when you see it like your favorite thing or animal or just think of your happy place )
Remember you are important and special just by being you
Eat 3 meals a day !! Healthy looks good on everyone :) so does happiness
There is light at the end of the tunnel I promise

i cannot stress enough how much of an impact changing the way you talk to yourself can have on your mental health. swapping out self deprecating jokes and changing unhealthy sentiments like "i hate myself" and "i want to die" to kinder, more forgiving ones like "i need a break" and "i'm trying" can make such a difference to how you view yourself. the things we say to ourselves become a part of our lives and so we deserve to me kinder to ourselves in our heads.

Having Autism : some of the Things that help me calm down when I feel overstimulated

Fidget toys
Specific plushies
Soft or smooth textured blankets and sheets
Comfort foods like Chicken noodle soup with extra noodles or macaroni and cheese (noodles are my favorite texture)
Watching Kiki's delivery service or the cats return (any movie by studio Ghibli works but especially these two)
Celtic music by Adrian von Ziegler (I listen to this during treatment as well)
Certain scents like my mom's perfume I also love the smell of clean sheets from out of the dryer and my scented wax warmer has plenty of options although I'm quite in love with fall scented candles
Cute animal videos (especially kitty cats , red pandas ,and otters)
My favorite pajamas (preferably my Snoopy pajama pants or my froot loops nightshirt)
Support and encouragement from those I care about
Something calming to drink like hot chocolate or ice cold lemonade
Brushing my hair

Journal entry #7 positive thoughts before treatment on May 10th

My expectations of myself are to be calm and have my thoughts be more upbeat during treatment I am shedding the skin of my past self,forgiving myself ,and making room for the new !! Noone and nothing can stop me from making the necessary changes and reaching my goals of feeling better. I am a strong and beautiful woman who has been through so much, enough is enough it is time to get better and be the happy person I know I am inside !! That does not mean getting rid of my happy memories or the good parts of my childhood self before all the trauma ..it means replacing the bad ones and creating new memories and getting started with my goals and working towards my future ..I need to remember I am a good person I always have been ..I am a human being and I am not worthless ..I deserve to be treated with respect and love/care as much as anyone else ..I am worthy of my dreams and my recovery!! I am going into the sunlight and out of the darkness and most of all I release myself from the feelings of shame and hurt and I no longer blame myself

Why do I love Kiki's delivery service ?

Kiki overcomes her struggle with self esteem !!
The beautiful scenery
The music
She has friends who are very supportive of her
She has a hope symbol just like I do (the chocolate cake !!)
Jiji and his beautiful but funny sarcasm
Kiki learning to be independent while being a unique and different person !!
She knows how to stand up for herself and say no and even says the line " it's rude to talk to a girl before you've been introduced and before you know her name "
She loses her powers at one point but still manages to be positive (for me it symbolizes how I lost interest due to my depression but I'm working through it !!)
The food looks amazing
The ending where she saves tombo is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥she learned to believe in herself and got her witches powers back !!
Osono not only helps Kiki start a delivery business and gives her a place to stay but she took care of her when she was sick !! if that isn't a positive role model I don't know what is
