Kind of insane how basic concepts we're taught in school as a child like "war is bad", "you should be kind to one another", "the Earth is in danger and we should prioritize ways to save it and change towards more sustainable options", and much more. Becomes "but they deserved it", "cut out the people you don't need and only surround yourself with more successful ones", "I work in the oil industry because the pay is high and AI will be the new routine"...

It's so exhausting being around people who have been so shaped by capitalism...

Recently I've been called childish. I'd rather be childish than heartless and jump through hoops to justify such stupid things

I meant to write a quick post, I never anticipated this to be my first Tumblr post but I'm constantly working on myself these past months and even tho I know I'm not alone it feels very depressing to feel such a disconnect with most people in my life. I'm close to a new beginning and I wonder if the choices in front in me are individualistic, this idea of going elsewhere and potentially living a better life than my peers
