I know this is late but...

Y’know, if you’re gonna complain about white knights attacking you… Maybe you shouldn’t uhhh post in the main tag or run an anti-YS blog/krit-blog.

If you really hate the game and it’s creator  (I won’t hold that against you) then uhhh why are you in the fandom?

If you’re gonna say shit like “I guess we’re gremlins now” and have no shame in claiming it as a title (to the point of making pride flags about it) then uhhh that’s kinda shitty, considering how the gremlins are depicted in the video (yes, that video)

And for the love of god if you don’t like how the game elements or the characters are like make your own content instead of trying to woobify them or sugarcoating the darker aspects of the game. (Well, except panty shots. Those are kinda gross.)

Just leave. Block the tag, block the blogs involved with this, find something else to do with your lives. Stop harassing people who like the game. (And b4 anyone says “n-no one does that!!” I have reciepts)

How do you guys play a tiefling barbarian?

Because I'm playing one, and he's absurdly op. (I rolled well on stats.) Also, Because of his charisma he ends up being the face of the group more often than not, though I try to let the rogue take that job. I was told that this wouldn't be a good combo, but this character that I meant almost as a joke and didn't expect to survive very long is dominating everything, and it's both annoying and beautiful! I feel like I'm playing a shounen anime protagonist! But even though the other players seem to like him so far I don't want to take over the game. I want everyone to feel like a hero at least once per game. How do you handle op characters? Advice please?

Sci-fi vs fantasy poll

Which genre do you prefer? And why? I'm curious. No hating on the other genre please

Star Trek writers to be on LOTR series.

And my mixed feelings for this series become even more so.

Again, it's about understanding fantasy, and these guys have been working on sci fi. And at first glance, Sci-fi and fantasy seem very similar, but the truth is that most of the time they require VERY different mindsets, with fantasy needing an even greater suspension of disbelief. Audiences are willing to meet you halfway, but if you don't strike that right balance, especially with High Fantasy, you risk losing that.

After suspension of disbelief, there's also the aspect of commentary and whether or not writers should make something "relevant".

I'm hoping they avoid this. In fact I'm hoping they make this series as apolitical as humanly possible. Because the last thing I need is to be lectured about capitalism vs socialism, or Israel vs Palestine while I'm watching a magical fantasy adventure! Let the CHARACTERS have their own problems, don't give them ours.

With Sci-fi it would be much easier due to the often futuristic nature of the genre, and the fun that comes with asking l, "what if ----?"

Anyway, this series has made me a nervous wreck and I don't think the first trailer is even out yet! I want them to do this "right"! I want them to respect Tolkien and his work! I don't just want this to be a success, I want it to be GREAT!
