Every time you begin a new month ask yourself
(1) what should I stop doing
(2) what should I start doing
(3) what should I keep doing

being uncomfortable becomes easier when you realize that’s literally the point. it’s like working out. if you work out & it becomes easy for you, you already got all you could out of that workout. your body adjusted & is strong enough to handle it now. you’re not improving anymore. that’s why you up the ante with harder workouts, where you’re uncomfortable & not quite strong enough yet. bc eventually you will be strong enough. but if it’s not a challenge, there’s no gain. & that’s exactly how it is with situations out of your comfort zone. the more you put yourself in them, the easier they get—but that in-between phase where you’re struggling is still completely valid and ok and natural. it’s what’s supposed to happen. it’s what’s going to change you as a person. and you should keep doing it

Shit I learned lately
Go copy it if it works for you. It's all love here. 💖
Before you start to complain or talk badly about someone, write it in your journal first. Record it privately on your phone second. Vlog it to yourself third. Then give it three days.
If it’s still on your mind, then reach out to them when they are well-rested, well-fed, and not off somewhere.
Whenever you see something that stirs up negative thoughts that target your insecurities, ask yourself: “is this for me?” If you believe the post arises negative thoughts, then ditch it.
When you start to feel insecure doomscrolling your phone, try looking at sites from your desktop/laptop. Surprisingly, it WILL feel different.
Monitor your moods by imagining a mood stoplight: GREEN means you’re calm and satisfied; YELLOW means you’re bored, worried, or disappointed; RED means you’re sad, angry, or too happy.
If you have trust issues and tend to push people away, be wary of your thoughts that sound analytical but only reads as these two things: this person is bad and I need to get out of here. It's probably a huge exaggeration and isn't true.
If you find it awkward listening to spoken affirmations, then look for musical artists that make positive music. Surprisingly, I love listening to Christian Hip Hop even if I'm agnostic!
#been rawdogging social anxiety since i was in high school but yeah these were actually pretty helpful!!!#indomitable human spirit#optimism#therapy#mental health#social anxiety#anxiety#mental wellness
