Google docs isn’t deleting your docs just because they have lewd text.
OP turned off reblogs of the post due to being debunked, but here’s a link of the reblog so you can still read stuff. Hate Google all you want but misinformation helps no one.

I have a theory guys, Chris Knight from real genius is Tom Kazansky from Top Gun
Now hear me out, Chris is a child prodigy who seems to not want to be known as one, he's overly excitable and very autistic and adhd, so when he graduated from Pacific tech he needs somewhere to escape too
And as we know Ice went to the academy and we only have an idea of how old he is, so let's say he's a year older than Goose and they went to the academy at the same time
So Chris made up this fake person, Thomas Kazansky, and with the help of Lazlo he created this entire person that he turns himself into because he doesn't want to be a child prodigy anymore he just wants to be a person
And yeah Tom may graduate top of his class but he's still just Tom, not Chris Knight, child prodigy and he loves that Tom Kazansky becomes an easy mask for him to use
But it all comes crashing down around him when Peter Mitchell, Mitch's cousin who he met while Mitch's family visited Pacific Tech goes to Top Gun with him
I might write a fic about this if I even finish my 5000 wip

Entitled white women I swear to God
People have been doing book clubs since forever. They do not put George RR Martin on the phone so he can join the chat.
Oh, thank you, kindly court jester jingling into my life under the brave banner of anonymity, for illustrating the exact problem of current fandom.
(This ask is about this post about private fanfiction "book clubs," for those of you who are not following my jester's ire.)
The bedrock of the problem entrenched fandom is having with the newer "TikTok fandom" element is that we have a fundamental disagreement about what fandom is, and what is the social relationship between the people who write fanfiction, make fanart, etc, and the people who read that fanfiction and enjoy that fanart.
(I am not going to use the term "content creator." Because that term is not applicable to fandom, fanfiction authors, or fan artist. Kill the capitalist in your brain. Content is hummingbird nectar made with artificial sweeteners. It resembles the real thing at a distance, but it is devoid of nutrients. It will fill you up so you're not hungry while starving you. Generative AI can produce content because it's empty; it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't even want to engage with you. The sole purpose of content is to get you to sit still long enough for the people who own the platform to squeeze whatever it is they want from you out of you and then abandon your malnourished husk until the next time they can get something from you.)
George RR Martin is not a member of fandom, and the relationship he has with his readers is fundamentally different, because his relationship as an author is explicitly a professional one. When George RR Martin sells a book—not to his readers, but to a publisher who acts as intermediary—he is given a lengthy contract outlining the terms of the sale. How much he will be paid, what can be done with his work by who, etc. George RR Martin is not your peer.
Fanfiction authors are your peers. They're your next door neighbors. They write fanfiction to connect to other fans in celebration of a canon everyone involved loves. Nobody makes a single red cent from writing or sharing their fanfiction. George RR Martin has sold 90 million copies of his books, and he gets money for every one. Because TikTok has trained you that people who are putting their creations out there are monetizing the experience of you reading or watching their art, the "TikTok fandom" element has you sorting your peer posting fanfiction on AO3 into the same category as George RR Martin. But your relationship with George RR Martin is a professional one, and the expectation from fanfiction authors and artists is a social relationship.
When you have a private book club reading and discussing fanfiction without ever telling the author or, God forbid, leaving a comment about how much you enjoyed the story—which is the expectation entrenched fandom authors and artists who view fandom as a social relationship—you think you're reading a mass produced novel from someone who has already been paid for it several times over, but this isn't even Walmart vs. local mom and pop. What are you actually doing is going to your neighborhood block party, picking up the cake someone made and brought to share, and taking it back to your house to eat with friends.
We are your peers. We are your neighbors. We are doing this for free because we want to talk to you about our common interest. No, it's not "payment." We offer our work for free, and you have the option of treating us like vending machines or ChatGPT or Walmart. This is a social relationship; you have this option just as you have the option of leaving your shopping cart in the middle of the parking lot instead of walking it to the cart return. You have that option just as you have the option to stick your chewed gum on a park bench or park your car across three handicap spaces or take a shit on the floor of a public bathroom. How you treat your peers and neighbors, how you treat the people in your community, is up to you.
You can keep stealing cakes from block parties. But don't be surprised when people get fed up with it and stop having block parties. Then you'll be stuck buying cake from Walmart or consuming artificially sweetened hummingbird nectar from ChatGPT while vultures raid your corpse for data.
Thanks for coming to my TEDTalk, court jester. Now get the fuck off my lawn.

Frens. As someone with a terrible visual imagination and non-existent fashion sense, I need help. What could someone wear in the late eighties/early nineties that would be like, gender nonconforming? In a way that someone couldn't tell their gender from it but also isn't like... too out there, like it's not a guy wearing a dress.
Like I need something gender noncomforning but also kinda masculine that would make someone go "uhm, I guess it's a he? But I can't be sure" and that someone who's not totally an ally to trans/non-binary people (but has no problem with homosexuals) wouldn't have an aneurysm over. I guess.
Anything goes in terms of styling, we can change the hair, the facial hair, shoes, jewelry, boob size - literally anything. Just give me something, please.

You know what I think about sometimes?
Mav being jealous because he's just Mav, not Uncle Mav, like Uncle Ice and Uncle Slider. Irrationally, he does know it's most likely because when Bradley was really young, he heard Goose and Carole call him just Mav and Bradley's baby ears absorbed it without questioning.
And it's the time when Carole is still alive and Bradley is all Uncle Ice this, Uncle Slider that, and Mav is just, well, just Mav.
(I also think Bradley would secretly call Mav his dad around friends and different kids at school, just because they don't really understand what being Bradley's Mav means and dad is the closest descriptive that matches what being Mav means in Bradley's vocabulary)

Thinking about Icemav going to pacific tech to talk to some students about joining the Navy, and before they arrive, I’ve stops Mav, holds onto his shoulders and is just like.
Ice: if you see a guy that looks like me, with longer hair and likely wearing bunny slippers, that is NOT me. Do not interact with him without me.
Mav, planning to hunt this guy down already to see why Ice is so freaked out, and maybe mess with Ice a little: okay?
And then when they finally meet Chris, it’s the most chaotic entrance possible. And I mean CHAOS. Like full on, laser searing through Mav’s jacket kind of chaos

Previous groups formed at Bootcamp have usually been doomed from the start and although usually making it through to the live shows don’t go much further. Futureproof, Hope and Miss Frank to name the most well known,

Plz plz plz where can I read your trucker!Mav x runaway!Ice fic???
it's still a wip i'm sorry 😭😭😭 it's been snoozing in my google folders forever but the basic premise is:
mav quit the navy after goose's death (still deciding if goose dies at topgun or if he dies on the layton mission) and becomes a long-haul trucker, sending money to carole and bradley whenever he can
a few years later, he picks up runaway tom kazansky at a gas station, who's trying to get to his sister's place on the other side of the country
cue forced proximity summer fling speedrun in the back of an 18-wheeler
(plus an epilogue where maverick meets tom years later... in navy whites at the O club)

Okay, so I know nobody asked. But in one of my AUs — Ice met Sarah very young and in the phase of his life where he tried very hard to be straight, but couldn’t because he isn’t. They got pregnant and had a set of identical quintuplets. Now, Ice of course provides for Sarah and his five identical blond children, even as the two of them break it off and live their own lives — but, I like to imagine the quints are the same age as Bradley.
So Bradley spends his entire life after age five, surrounded by a ring of identical bitey blond children who defend him and fight over him like sea gulls over a single coveted fry.
That is all.

The 2025 Gender Census is now open!
[ Link to survey ]
The 12th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 30th August 2025.
It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.
Tumblr media
After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.
If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful!
Survey URL: https://survey.gendercensus.com
The survey is open to anyone anywhere who speaks English and feels that the gender binary doesn’t fully describe their experience of themselves and their gender(s) or lack thereof.
If you can't wait for survey numbers, you can click here for a public spreadsheet of non-secret info with graphs as it comes in, updated manually a few times per day.
Thank you so much!
