Spoiler warning!

This one was a lot of fun. We love a good enemies-to-lovers trope! Also, dragons! Yes please! Already pre-ordered Iron Flame!

First, I love Violet. Her strength shines through time and time again in the novel. I also appreciate how her chronic illness is present, but is not explained. In that sense, the book runs parallel to Violet's demeanor and actions, by not allowing her physical limitations to define who she is or what she can do.

I also LOVE that she bonded two dragons. That was an awesome surprise. She and Tairn just make me smile every time they have a scene in the book together. So much sass. But also, unwavering support of each other and their decisions. And Andarna, she really shows how the small can absolutely be the mightiest with some quick thinking and a big heart.

Dain started to feel a lot like Tamlin to me. I didn't love how much more annoying he got throughout the book. Like I get the concept of demonstrating how one version of affection can actually be the exact opposite of what someone needs, but I don't know, I just didn't love that it kept getting pushed. I felt like their falling out should have happened earlier in the novel.

Liam at the end had me gutted. And BRENNAN, hell yes, I thought that guy was still kicking somewhere. We love to see it. Can't wait to see what comes next!
