Rhetts rec in eb 352 was the movie Barbarian starring recent GMM guest Justin Long!

Its a cinema release so no telling yet where or when it might stream or even be available to buy as VoD.
Please note its already out in the States, that must be a UK poster I've got a picture of. It will be released on October 28 in the United Kingdom, October 20 in Australia and October 27, 2022 in New Zealand.
#eb 352#ear biscuits#movie#those were the only international release dates listed on wiki but i assume you might just need to search yourself if you are elsewhere.

The rec in eb 351 was obviously, it being the album listening party, Rhetts debut album as James and the Shame - Human Overboard
Available everywhere you get your music, including YouTube with 3 music videos for the released singles.
A little ask from Rhett to also add this to playlists so that the algorithm figures out his genre more and recommend to those who you think might enjoy or resonate with it.
No one asked for a review but I will say if you haven't given this a listen yet, please give it a chance, even if you don't think it'll be your thing, you might be pleasantly surprised! I've ended up listening to this so so much more than I thought I would!
#eb 351#ear biscuits#recs in effect#music#james and the shame#human overboard#annoyed i didn't post this when it came out but ive been away and super busy#i probably will link the influences playlist and the three singles seperately as well tho. its deserved#Spotify

No rec in eb 350 - a repeat rec to check out the previous two weeks reccomendations of work from Dr Emily Morse and Dr Emily Nagoski!
You can find those linked under eb 348 and 349 consecutively.

The rec in ep 349 was again related to the guest, another Dr Emily!
Dr Emily Nagoski is the author of 'Come as You Are' and more recently the book 'Burnout'
Come as You Are also has a revised and updated version, linked above, as well as a workbook version. I believe a Come as You Are podcast is also in the works and a future book release focusing on long term relationships called: Come Together

There was no formal rec in ep 348 - instead there was the recommendation to go check out Dr Emily Morse's work!
She has a podcast 'Sex with Emily' that covers a wide range of sex related topics and is available wherever you get your podcasts.
A masterclass called 'Emily Morse Teaches Sex and Communication' at www.masterclass.com (paid service).
And a dedicated website: sexwithemily.com

Links rec (yup Link reckoned it was his turn even tho I make it Rhetts) in eb 347 was the podcast Dilla Time, if you are interested in the history of hip hop and/or music theory.
Dilla Time is available to listen on Audible.

The urge to say 'does what it says on the tin' instead of 'does what it says' in that last post was so huge I just needed to post to say if you ever see me using a weird phrase you don't get just remember I'm British and probably making a reference that only makes sense if you are also British 😅

Links rec in eb 346 was... uh 3 recs? No recs? A hot mess? Lol
Mentioned were:
Conversationstarters.com (which they used for the topic prompts this ep)
CapitalizeMyTitle.com (possibly a joke rec but does what it says)
&
Pudding. Specifically chocolate vanilla swirl pudding.
Do with this information what you will 😅

Rhetts rec in eb 345 was the Nic Cage movie The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
Unfortunately this does not yet seem available to stream for free from any of the official sources. You can however rent to watch from Amazon, Apple, Google Play and YouTube etc.

Links rec eb 344 was the song King and Cross by Icelandic artist Ásgeir
(This particular song is in English, although he also sings in Icelandic, and Link particularly liked the change of gear from the verse to the bridge)

Rhetts rec in eb 343 was to go whale watching!
More accurately - go whale watching: dress warmly, take nausea medicine
(And hopefully have a life changing, not at all over-rated experience like Rhett 😉)

No real rec this week, more some advice from Link: if you are getting a massage on beach vacation, get it on day one or two so you don't need to worry about sunburn.
Although I think Rhetts advice to just wear sunscreen might be more sensible 😅

Rhett's rec in this week's eb was of course his debut single as James and the Shame !
Believe Me is available everywhere you get music now.
James and the Shame also has a dedicated artist page on Spotify you can follow, and a YouTube channel with the lyric/music video for Believe Me out now.
If somehow you had not heard/seen about Rhetts music project, I encourage you to give it a listen, even if you aren't sure it'll be for you. I've seen plenty of comments from people saying that even though they don't like country music, or even though they can't relate to the deconstruction element, they still liked this song, so you might to!
#ear biscuits#eb 341#music#james and the shame#i cant personally relate to the deconstruction thing but i still think its a beautiful song#and lyrically it could be about any situation where youve wanted someone to believe your feelings/experience on something#just had to add a little encouragement to give it a chance. gotta rep the boys!#recs in effect

We got a re-rec this week! Eb 340 Link also recommended this doc, having only just watched it himself. He did note that he thought Rhett had previously recc'd it and I was sure I'd posted about it!
Rhetts rec in eb 308 was the documentary Beauty is embarrassing.
'Known for being one of the creators of Pee-wee's Playhouse, White has recently become a darling of the fine art world, but none of it came easy. Filmmaker Neil Berkeley delivers a personal look at what it's like to follow your passion and do what you love no matter what.'
It's available on Amazon Prime video in the UK, but if you are in the US or elsewhere I'm afraid I could only find pay to watch links. It's available to purchase through Amazon, Apple and its own website below:

Sorry if I haven't posted in a while! I need to catch up from eb 339 but before that we had a run of not really recs aka nothing I could link to:
Eb 338 was just to listen to the voicemails at the end of the ep
Eb 337 was from Rhett 'not to share socks with your children' 😄
Eb 336 from Link -measure your children on the wall
Eb 335 from Rhett: 'go to the doctor' 😅
So that's why I dropped off for a bit! I'll post eb 339 and 340 shortly
