Since we still have enough time till Doomsday, here's my little theory/AU/headcanon/whatever it is (under the cut):

WHAT IF in some another universe Extremis didn't work and Pepper died falling into the fire (ending of Iron Man 3) and

WHAT IF Tony had to take Killian down by his own, and he did, but right half of his face got burned during that fight and

WHAT IF Pepper's death broke Tony to pieces and eventually made him quit Avengers (and most likely all his former life including being Iron Man and owner of Stark Industries) and become Dr. Doom and

WHAT IF this version of Dr. Doom somehow ends up in our "main" universe and

WHAT IF he learns that in this world Tony Stark was a hero who saved the whole universe and

WHAT IF he meets Pepper there.

So they both, after all those years, got to see the love of their life they lost several years ago...and the person they both see couldn't be more different.

If there are/will be any fics with this trope - throw them at me gracefully, I'll consume them.

Note: nothing against original Dr.Doom, and I'm pretty sure Marvel's going to come up with some excellent background story for him in Doomsday, since it's a great character and villian. All I wrote above is just my little theory based on RDJ's announced appearance :)

Presented my thesis today and OFFICIALLY FINISHED MASTERS DEGREE.

I guess I'm an adult now.

I guess this place is mostly used for character discussion and stuff like that, but since I am "something of a designer myself", I decided to share this article I found not that long ago. It's about creating the HUDs in the first Iron Man film, and I absolutely love how they broke it down there. Maybe some of you find it great as well.

There's a certain amount of people who went study engineering because of Iron Man movies, but there's also quite a lot of folks who turned into VFX, design and animation after seeing those mind-blowing interfaces. I guess, almost every motion designer had an "Iron Man alike HUD/FUI" project on their hard drive at some point. I mean, I had one too :D

So if you're into Iron Man, film making and design - that's a solid recommendation for reading. There's the link:

Babe wake up Atomic Heart II trailer just dropped!

Максимально странные ощущения от просмотра: с одной стороны, выглядит это офигенно, стиль и режиссура - все круто. С другой - пошел явный уклон в сторону киберпанка, вся та "советская" стилистика, которой насквозь была пропитана первая часть, как будто бы на второй-третий план ушла.

Кви��ы на фоне тоже определенного диссонанса добавляют, особенно учитывая, что это даже не ремикс, а оригинал, но в целом выглядит весьма кайфово.

Currently rewatching Iron Man 3, and allow me to say: this movie probably has one of the most iconic openings out of the whole MCU.

I mean, epic slow motion sequence of the suits being blown up followed instantly by "I'm blue dabadee dabadie" song intro is something only a movie about Tony Stark could pull.
