Humanized Nohu pair

The Nohu (second pic) is a turtle from a speculative evolution proyect (Kappa, world of turtles). In this species the female is a small and agile freshwater predator who goes back to land in order to lay eggs. The male on the other hand is a humongous acuatic herbivore with lots of plants growing on his shell (oftentimes unique plants that can only survive on this animal). I thought it would be neat if a part of the selection process for males was keeping their garden lush in order to atract fish that the females can then eat. And instead of drawing the interaction with animals like a normal person I instead decided to make them human because I wanted to give the guy a big green jacket.

I'm not super happy with the end result, I think I'll revisit it in the future, but they look cute and I learned a bit about drawing flowers and shoes so I'll take it as a win.

There's a YouTuber that's been uploading some videos for the past year about Kappa, a speculative evolution proyect in which a planet is seeded with snapper turtles, butterflies and triops and left to develop for a while.

Today is also May 3rd, so I figured why not combine the two and make a mermaid out of one of the creatures of Kappa. This is Ossipteroth, an apex predator of Kappa's fresh water rivers. Mermafied. If things go smoothly I should be able to do at least one more mermaid before the month is over.

Here she is folks, the one and only Emmy the robot with her official #DTIYSEMMY attire to open this year's Mermay . Yep, it's definitely her, you can tell by the use of her iconic phrases like "Golly Gee" and "Happy Joy".

On a real note: I did this in a day, I haven't finished a piece in a single day since I was like 14, I'm kinda proud.

I had this particular vision of a woman seductively pulling her dress down and two fangs jumping out when she's done. So yeah, this is my take on the yorogumo, a spider yokai that takes the form of a woman to hunt.

If I had a nickel for every piece of media that prominently features a hot lady with literally black skin, white hair, no mouth, colorful markings in her face and a predisposition for chill songs from the mid 1900s I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weirdly specific that it happened twice.

Also they changed clothes because why not?

A young mage girl(?) that's been living in my head for a while now. Heavilly inspired by @tempulian's Illusionist. She looks friendly.

I got a broken combo on Monster Train (roguelite game, I recommend it) and decided to draw the creature as I imagine it. The blood in the water was a last second touch but I think it really brings the piece together, I probably should've bloodied the sword a bit more.

Styracosaurus + Rampardos Fusion: STYRAMOS

Another day, another art block, another pokemon dinosaur fusion so that I don't spend another five years without drawing anything.

Not much to say about this one. I'm not super proud of it but it's enough, I've been wanting to draw Ivy for a while now.

No tengo mucho que decir de esta. No estoy super orgulloso pero es suficiente, hace rato que quiero dibujar a Ivy.

Vieron que la gente tiene un "aire", una "vibra"? Como que los sentís de cierta forma particular cuando interactúan? Bueno, con este personaje quería replicar el "aire" de una amiga, amiga que dicho sea de paso no se parece en nada a este personaje. Pero tiene un aire.

Have you ever noticed how people have a "vibe" to them, like you just feel a certain way when you interact? Well, this character was meant to have the "vibe" of a friend of mine who inspired the whole thing. Funnily the IRL friend looks nothing like the character I made, but they do share a vibe.

I was feeling awful when I started this drawing, but I'm doing better now. I'm pretty lucky to have a constructive outlet for expressing my negative emotions. I also got to practice lineless and I think my improvements are very noticeable.

English: This thing is inspired in part by the Polyphemus design from Hades 2 but the final push to draw this was the song Survive from Epic, the Musical. The way Poliphemus sounds felt monstrous there and I can imagine Odysseus crew staring at the yellow eye from the shadows until the creature walks forward, showing the true location of its maw, the true shape of its hands and the sheer size of a beast as capable of speaking as it is of chewing a human whole.

Español: Este bicho está inspirado en parte por el diseño de Polifemo en Hades 2 pero la inspiración final es la canción "Survive" de "Epic, the Musical". Polifemo suena como un monstruo en esa canción y me imagino a la tripulación de Odiseo viendo la figura humanoide con ese único ojo en las sombras, hasta que la criatura avanza y revela la ubicación de sus fauces, la forma de sus manos y el mero tamaño de una bestia tan capaz de hablar como de masticar a un humano entero.

When I started Pokemon Reloaded I picked Mabonny hoping she would evolve into something pretty. And she is pretty, pretty as a poison dart frog. . . That spits fire.

Needless to say I enjoyed it very much.
