It's December and every day I go for a walk after my office hours in the fishery road which is right next to the sea shore, here in Surathkal, Arabian sea. Captured this while hiking towards Sandakphu and the last village. Sometimes I just wonder why and how these people build house in this remote place because each brick to build this house has to be carried on mules all the way thru' some of the dense forests and is super expensive too. The nearest road is atleast a day or 2, of hiking away. We were lucky to visit and stay in this beautiful place. A century old house that belongs to my grandfather, a heritage home I can say where a lot of my relatives including my dad were born and brought up. The house brings in a lot of memories. Here is this beautiful village / tribe in the remote Himalaya mountains, by the name Osla. This is about 2 days hike from the nearest motorable road. It was 1AM in the morning, and no one around. The feeling that you get here, standing in front of the Lakshman Jhula and the fast flowing river Ganga, was unique. No crowd, no hawker or no one honking at this time. The only thing that you hear was the fast flowing river. I sat there for almost an hour doing nothing. Perfect peace and calm. You should definitely visit this place in the middle of the night to experience this.
