Hello, my name is Reginald Jackson. And these are my various art projects. Most of my projects use traditional mediums such as colored pencils and fine tipped ink pens. But I also do digital work as well. Ii'm very influenced by classic cartoons of Disney and Warner Bros. So if I am not posting any new art, I'll occasionally talk about these cartoons. Miscellaneous Single Comic Page Drawings
I've been trying to do more comic related stuff over the last few years, and these are just few of the one I've done that were only a single page. Most of these are from my alt accounts, and were all done on different dates with little to no connecting narrative. Unless you count the ones with The Mask. That happened unintentionally!
The ones are as follows:
The Mask voicing his grievances about a new law passed in his city by Mayor Tilton.
From Darkwing Duck; The masked duck's rival, Agent Gryzlikoff from S.H.U.S.H, try to patch their rivalry in front of their boss with a hug.
The Mask finishing up a meeting with another mayor from Springfield upon suggestion from Bart. Calamity ensued.
My OC's Manny and Luther during a rowdy stand up gig. This was my take on a drawing challenge that took off for one hot minute on Twitter.
Pete "saving" Goofy from a freak pie attack. His friend is gracious for the sacrifice.
The Mask being returned his own town via mayor to mayor. More calamity ensued.
I do want to get more comfortable doing these more often so I can move on to doing more larger comic projects. Already got a few story ideas to pick from, just need to start committing to one already!

Three New Drawings!
Here are three of my newest drawing pieces that I've done! These are all ones Ive drawn on my livestreams on Tiktok!
The ones featured are as follows:
Barney Gumble shredding on a guitar. A chronic alcoholic who finds out he can play guitar? Barney might as well be the next Dave Mustaine!
Oblivious Brunus. A smooth talking pick-up artist who's currently unaware of his smooth wardrobe attire. This was rough sketch I polished up and colored in with colored pencils.
Pinky and the Brain enjoying blocks of cheese. Two mice taking a well-deserved break from their never-ending quest for world domination! I wanted to have something to show Brain's voice actor, Maurice LaMarche at Chattanooga Comic Con next month!

More of My Older Simpsons Drawings!
These are a few of my other Simpsons drawings that I haven't shared on here before or have shared them in different stage of the work process. Going clockwise from the left to the right are as follows:
Homer, Willie, Krusty and Barney dancing. I posted this a while back with extra effects to give it the appearance of a TV screenshot. Here is a version where most of the effects have been scaled back~
Homer posing as the famous "The Thinker" statue by August Rodin.
My take on drawing sober era Barney posing as Chad Sexington. " Hey baby, Im that guy you like!"
A fully colored in version of a Mayor Quimby rough sketch I'd shared a while back here, of him being ceremoniously removed of his duties.

Simpsons Livestream Sketch from August 7
Marge: "What are you doing here?"
Mayor Quimby: "I'm Here with my nephews"
Marge: "Oh, Thats nice"
Earlier the other day I did a new livestream on Tiktok where I decided to do a screenshot redraw from a classic Simpsons ep. Ended up going crazy with the shading for this one! Also felt like draw rave scene for the first time in a while!
Since the scene involved a rave, I ended up playing a bunch of EDM throughout the whole stream!

Vermeer Portrait Study with Crayola Pencils
Believe it or not, I actually only used a twelve pack of Crayola Pencils to do this portrait study!
And do it, I decided to use one of the most famous portraits from the history of fine art, Vermeer's "Girl With The Pearl Earring "
Since its been a long time since I've done any portrait-based work, I thought I'd return to it with an extra challenge. Doing it with a limited color pallete and with "cheap" student grade art materials.
Not surprisingly it was a bit hard to do since while Crayola's are vibrant with color, they are pretty waxy, so it can make them hard to blend with, even with layering your colors.
I know there are a bunch of you artists out there that use these regularly. I also know that a few of you that happen to be beginners that are still struggling with learning, may be believe your art will be better if you get better art materials.
But that's not exactly true. While this portrait I did may have looked a BIT better if I used a higher grade such as Prismacolor, or Faber Castell, it wouldn't have made much of a difference if I didn't have the technique and skill to pull it off.
While having quality art materials are recommended, they are not a requirement to make high quality art. As long as you are fine tuning and practicing your technique and skill, and being creative, you can make art with just about anything!
So don't toss your pencils just yet, keep on drawing!

Cheshire the Mad Cat
"One who's truly mad doesn't dress like they're mad. If they do, they're merely showing off!"
It's been a long time since I did a solo piece with this fluffy pink feline. The most recent was the livestream drawing I did with him and Yakko Warner a few months back.
But this is one that I ended up spending way more time with compared to that one!
I decided to draw him in a snazzier setting compared to how we usually see him. Also, a bit trippier too. Part of that inspiration came from coming across old movie posters of 'Alice in Wonderland' when it was re-released in theaters in the 1970s. A lot of the posters made during that period embraced the whole psychedelic imagery that was in at the time!
Those posters used a lot of color, and since I like to use a lot of color, it seemed like a match made in heaven! ;)

Color Study with a Homer and Fat Tony Sketch
One of the things I've picked up from the many art classes I've had in the past is that color is like a nonverbal language. Using certain colors for an art piece can help communicate or change the mood or feeling. Granted, this change slightly depends on culture, experience, and even artist personal tastes as well. But it's a very important component.
For example, I used this simple sketch I made yesterday of Homer and Fat Tony talking.
Let's pretend you dont know these two or that this is a crudely drawn moment from a classic season 8 episode.
Without any color, this scene feels neutral, even a bit boring.
However, with yellow and orange, suddenly it can be a very happy and cheerful scene.
With green and blue, the scene is more cool and peaceful.
Now, if you use pink and purple, the scene can feel sensuous and dreamlike.
In contrast, with red and gray, it can now feel more sinister and scary.
Even regular black and white can be striking, as it can make a scene dramatic or mysterious.
If you go crazy with bright and rich colors, you can make the scene more chaotic and psychedelic. Be careful with this one, as it can be overwhelming to the viewer.
Now, granted, some of you might have even got different moods than the ones I've mentioned here in these drawings!
Thought I'd give something a little different than what i usually post.
So don't be willing to shy away when it comes to experimenting with color or lack of color in developing the mood in your own artwork. Give it try, you might like what you get.

The Yellow Pages
"Ah, c'mon! Of course I didn't lose your number! How else was I supposed to call you?"
Nowadays, if you need to find a number for a special something or someone, you can use the internet. Decades ago, you had to do it the old-fashioned way by flipping through a moldy oversized book.
Normally Id post this one on of my alternate name accounts on Bluesky and DeviantArt, but I liked it so much I thought I'd share it here too. Also, ballpoint pens and colored pencils just go so well together in a sketchy drawing like this one!

Mustering the courage to go to therapy can be a challenge. Being the therapist can be an even bigger challenge!
This is a brief project I've been working on for the past several days! I've been meaning to do another, so I decided to do something a bit more ambitious!
A slice of life type of story involving one obscure character, Marvin Monroe, mixed in with several more recognizable ones that only those older cartoon lovers will recognize!

More Miscellaneous Animaniacs and Simpsons Drawings

The ones featured are as follows:
The Warner brothers and sister cosplaying as Lupin the Third, Jigen, and Fujiko.
Krusty being forced to send someone their regards to mobster Fat Tony via a pie in the face.
A group of sketches with cartoon characters that are named after the letter H. Homer being one of them.
The Troll. A one off character from the Animaniacs ep: "Take My Sibings Please!"
An AU of Mayor Quimby being subjected to a resignation ceremony during the series eventual finale, with a flagpole wedgie.
A group of sketches with cartoon characters that are named after the letter W. Wakko being one of them.

Livestream Drawings, Comics, and Rough Sketches
Here are a few sketchy drawings I've done recently over the past month or two, most of them I haven't really shared much until now. Some of these were posted on my alt account on Bluesky, and others I haven't shared outside of update posts on Youtube.
A good chunk of these was done upon request during my weekly drawing livestreams on Youtube. I've temporarily put the livestreams on hold at the moment since I've recently moved out and will have to create a new work space for those.
The drawings are as followed:
A livestream drawing of Tiger from American Tail
A hippie in a tye dye robe trying cherry Garcia ice cream late at night
A live stream drawing of Hycenith Hippo from Fantasia.
A livestream drawing of Sir Rosewald from Eckhart.
A comic I did my oc's Murphy and Luther camping woods. Murphy is being caught by Ranger J Audubon.
A livestream drawing of Iago from Aladdin
A livestream drawing of Porky Pig.
A sketch I did for a crossover comic. The Warners from Animaniacs interacting with Dr Monroe from the Simpsons.
A rough pen drawing of a man practicing on guitar

Vacation Ballpoint Pen Sketches
Hey guys, I've just gotten back from a week long cruise vacation, that's why I haven't posted in a while. I had a fantastic time with my family, and I definitely got a much needed break from work. But I had taken out time to get some new pen sketches in to share! The ones featured are as follows:
Ralph the Guard and the Warners in 80s fashion. Here our portly guard has captured a pop star, a Prince look a like, and a punk! Got a bit inspired after attending an 80s themed party here on the ship!
A retro one that's still a WIP of a man with a phone book and a cord and handle of a red house phone. Those of you under 30 years old may not remember those unless you've watched enough old movies.
A few sketches of a few people at a bar, one of many bars on the cruise I was on!
