It is more than one year since I have been back to Europe and time did fly by.
Thanks everyone for still sticking with me from the whirlwinds of South America through this, another adventure on a different continent. A new story. I spent this weekend outside in the mountains and came to realize how thankful I am to still be able to make all these choices. To encounter food, shelter and community no matter where I go. To find new homes, new friends along the way. New teachers. New forms of living, supporting or making me questioning my own in the present. The secret behind it is simple: Making choices. Such a powerful tool my friends. Unfortunately not being used often enough. Consciously enough. Since we are too scared to make ‘wrong decisions’, to fail, to disappoint others. Choices. About your life and your environment. About yourself. Once you made a choice you have to accept its direction, you flow with it and let go of everything else. No regrets, no should haves, only yourself steering towards something new, something exciting, something that makes you learn and grow. Imagine. So little to light up that spark

We had a map but decided to follow our hearts on this journey leaving cages and formats of living behind. Fearless and strong, as women should be. Equally. Insisting on our rights. Creating spaces in peace with nature. Where shelter, food and health base the foundation of life. Wisdom of the elders is precious. Where Mother Nature is holy. Food nourishes and the outdoors and community are medicine ✨ Only then you know you are free to decide and realize anything is possible.

Poetry of the ocean.
The sea has always described freedom to me, this ocean of endless possibilities. This is why we decided to hit the road again, away from digital connections putting us out there in nature. Pure and pristine. Without any obligation, neither expectation. Following the sun and its shades. They took us west. the furthest west we could drive on this continent while showing us all its magic.

Being back in Europe still lights my heart but it also made me wonder about this pain and heaviness being present. I took my time to spin my head around my generations' motivation in life and how our history shaped the way how we view the world today. How to deal with these thin spaces we are floating around from time to time and not take life all too serious.

Cabin life, Austria.
I was about to check the sunrise while locking myself out of the cabin I stayed on this five day hike I did through the carnic Alps high above more than 2000 masl  While waiting in the cold suddenly the clouds broke up and I witnessed this stunning sunrise.

Being back in Europe made me wonder about how heavy people are going through life, almost as it was a burden. This challenge filled with worries about the future, creating anxiety about what will be. I wondered where this lightness had gone? This excitement about life and all its wonders. Suffering stems not from the events in our lives but our judgement about them - Epictetus Although written so many decades ago this statement is more than true in our modern day society. We cannot always have control about the events happening to us but about how we approach things while practising self control and avoiding emotional extremes. Although we are heroes in desiring things, we should make ourselves aware that there is no ideal state nor world but the present and how we deal with it, while seeing everything we own as borrowed and one day we have to give it back to the universe.
Have a great week everyone ❤️

Future. A strong word. While learning to provide for the future, humans also started to worry. My journey showed me that someone who is struggling to survive is more thankful for being healthy & alive, for friends and family and daily food than someone who is brought up in the Western society. A small reminder for all of us this upcoming weekend ❤️

Stillness is hard - often harder than movement. It is like flying in one of those empty spaces. No knowing where to go and what to do. I am honest - I am in one of those spaces right now realizing stillness can often bring loneliness and a deep feeling of being lost. Without guidance. Vulnerable. Self doubt.  It takes bravery to stay strong and not let this stage be abused by society, but we all know we are able to 🍃

Being back to this Western world has made me wonder about our consumption habits and where they have taken us. On my past journey an impulse was given to dig a little deeper and see where things actually come from and I found importance in the following questions that each of us should ask ourselves with every purchase:
Who makes it? Who needs it? Who profits from it?
I want to take you on a journey to the production of cacao beans and show you those human beings working hard to satisfy our daily needs but not being the ones receiving the profit.
