Virgo is the main character of a new story of mine, currently titled “Virgo and the Order”. It tells the story of Virgo, and the many entities that plague her life.

This piece is moreso doodling on canvas, continuing to use my fingers and hands to paint, only using a paintbrush for minor details. I had no plan, other than a desire to continue developing Virgo’s design, and the new story I created.

Accompanying music was Ethel Cain, in particular Dust Bowl and Homecoming.

A few days ago I was trying to get back into art and enjoy it again, after dealing with burnout and general depression just having finished a semester of art school. My wrist would hurt when using paintbrushes, so I rediscovered the joy of finger painting. This was a wip of a gift for a friend of mine.

[WIP] Starscream with Charcoal, 2025

I was doing charcoal life drawing exercises tonight. I also did some last week in class with a model too. I find that I really enjoy charcoal drawing, playing with tone, contrast and shadow—some of my favourite elements. After I finished up my exercises, I decided to unwind and do something before getting ready for bed. I started this, and also a charcoal drawing of D-16.

Not too much meaning behind this work other than “I wanted to draw starscream” lolz. But I did look at biblical and historical paintings for a while before drawing him.

The charcoal I used is from a pack I’ve had for many years, but only used once as I was too afraid. Hoping to use them more because they are quite fun.

uni assignments are killing me rn but i wanted to do a little something for mother's day💙🤍❤️💛(omg i forgot laserbeak...i'll draw him and the baby another time trust)

last year mother's day was quite the magical time. there were gorgeous aurora borealis and australis everywhere [i couldn't see them where i live (TT^TT)], and i also got my first guitar at a market. last year was pretty rough for me, especially march—may, but those two things made me happy.

i miss drawing my little babywave guy!!! i don't think i've ever mentioned my babywave's name on here, but his name is echo :] (short for echowave - i couldn't help but add a wave hehe)

the photos in the second post are inspired by photos of me and my siblings :] there was a drawing function on our digital camera where you could draw on top of photos. someone drew angel wings on me once. i really need to get my old cameras working again...perhaps after assignments

Lately I've been super busy with university, creating primarily for my assignments, with only small mspaint doodles to suffice as original art and to cope with. So last night I went a bit wild.

I had no greater intention for this art, no intention to render fully, just wanting to keep going until I lost all my energy. I was originally going to keep the background plain and empty. But I tried something new, tried filling in the emptiness, putting in whatever I wanted - what was on my mind, what I like - simply because I could, and because I wanted to.

This work is my small act of defiance against stressful academia, a short burst of energy (powered by nightcore) to do something for myself, not because some task sheet is asking me to.

Boxhead - 25/04/25

You know boxhead, lately I’ve been dreaming of people. People I haven’t seen in a long, long time. People I still remember fondly. I think they’ll even stay in my heart and mind forever, for these organs of mine feel ever-expanding, like the universe.

In my dreams, I see them. Those people. One-on-one. We’re in a vague concept of a place, sometimes a school or a house or even a store, and in my dreams…we just talk. That’s it. We talk, them and I. I ask them how they are, they say they are fine. We talk about what they are up to, how is school, etc. It’s…peaceful. And when these dreams end, I wake up with tears in my eyes.

Do you believe that dreams have meaning, boxhead? Sometimes I believe they do, sometimes they don’t. But I believe these dreams are telling me something. But I’m afraid, boxhead. I’m afraid to be perceived.

You see, change is inevitable. And as time progresses, people change. But I don’t believe I’ve changed. And if I have, it’s for the worse. I mask a lot in my daily life. It’s a necessity. To the point where I don’t know what is me and what isn’t. But one thing I’m pretty sure of: I believe the real me is not something people like very much.

That person is very off-putting, embarrassing, blabbering and tripping over their own words and thoughts, odd and also frankly stupid. They’re not very good at this human thing, you see. They spend all their time isolated they forget how to act. They forget that 99% of people don’t care to hear their thoughts on some niche or convoluted topic. They forget that they need to write and write back in order to communicate.

As time passes, they wonder if they’re still needed. They’re unsure of their place in the world, and their stance in peoples’ lives. By now they must be like… #394 in the social rankings. That’s low enough to be forgotten about. No one wants to be #394.

You see boxhead, that person—let’s call them Dongle, since they like that word—thinks of life as a game. A numbers game. Dongle sees the world differently from others. Dongle analyses social situations and has to calculate in their head what to do and how to act. Safe and friendly go-to lines and topics, how to react appropriately, and how to NOT LET THE REAL DONGLE OUT!!!! Which always backfires because eventually Dongle misreads the situation and believes that is an excuse to be themself and blabber about another convoluted topic that no one else understands nor cares about and it ruins the mood.

After every social interaction, a popup appears in Dongle’s mind of how they did. Points for socialising correctly, and negative points for doing the wrong thing. At the end, Dongle interprets how they did with a grade and how likely the person is to interact with them again. Often times Dongle says the chances are low.

I believe Dongle is a being that not many people understand or like, so I try my best to keep them hidden away. But Dongle is always screaming from the inside, yearning to claw their way out of my skin and breathe the open air.

…I’m afraid of people, boxhead. I love and miss them, but I’m also afraid of them, and being perceived by them. If they see the real me, after all this time, I don’t think they’d like it very much. I feel like they’d be disappointed. And I don’t blame them.

Haunted Noble Character Turnaround

Character design and turnaround for an art direction assignment. We had to choose from 5 prompts, and I chose to do the "haunted noble." My biggest inspirations for this design were the Victorian era and the shape of triangles.

Was pretty tough doing my first uni assignment, and I hope I pass haha. I'm scraping through uni atm, hoping to get by and make it to the end of the trimester.

Dog head turn exercise. I kinda gave up on this one as it was due because I was so exhausted lol. Highlight of this work is that I was listening through Angel Face (Club Deluxe) album by Stephen Sanchez. Very pleasant music; it contrasted with my stress and panic as my assignment's deadline drew near.
