Writer’s Research: 10 Unusual ‘Rich People’ Foods That Are a Waste of Money
I like to seek out different methods of how I can write my unlikable characters to portray unlikable characteristics. My writing habits tends to make rich folks fall into antagonistic roles more often than not. This is usually due to my protagonist trying to make a beneficial change on society and running into conflict with those in control of the society and want to maintain the status quo.
In trying to research negative characteristics of Greedy people, I stumbled across this article. Finding it interesting, I decided to note it in for future reference.

Comparing and Contrasting: Final Fantasy 14 and No Man Sky
During the past few weeks, I’ve been reflecting on how I have been spending my free minutes of the day. Lately, I have noted that as far as video games go, my habits have revolved around playing Final Fantasy XIV and No Man Sky. These are two very different games, yet I am fond of both. Seeing as I’m bored in the office, I wanted to jot down my thoughts on both games. While I enjoy both games, I believe that each game is catering to a different demographic and I somehow got wrapped in between the two.
Final Fantasy XIV
This MMORPG has players explore the Reborn Realm as the visually pleasing character of their choosing. While the game is trying to suggest that I am the Hero of Light, I know that I merely the Hero of Light’s boyfriend. My real life girlfriend wanted me to play this game with her. She’s is extremely knowledgeable in the lore and story while I’m just her sidekick who is playing either Healer or Tank so that we can match into parties faster.
When I am not playing with my girlfriend, I’m usually logging in to complete dailies so that I can level up the new profession that I picked up. In either scenario, my brain is being used in at least one aspect. Either I’m helping my girlfriend navigate the landscape, doing my best to keep up with her, going in with a list of objectives when I’m playing solo, and minding my rotation when combat is initiated.
This game is built to appeal to a vast array of player types, yet socializers are going to really enjoy the game if they are playing with friends. The game caters to achievers through its questing and leveling. Explorers who are coming in fresh have a lot to discover, yet the game will have to rely on updates to keep their interests. Killers might not find this game interesting as their biggest outlook is a PvP mode that I don’t have the comprehension to judge.
No Man’s Sky
I’ve recently purchased No Man’s Sky for the Switch. The game had an undesirable launch that had me wary to buy it, yet news of it being reworked and a lower price point changed my opinion. I set my playthrough on the casual setting.
No Man’s Sky presents itself as a game that can be both played for hours on end or simply a few minutes. While I prefer to play games on the dock of my Switch, No Man’s Sky plays surprisingly well on the handheld. I’ll admit that I have seen some graphical issues when I push the mining feature, but nothing too extreme to turn my opinion sour.
This game is mainly for explorers, as it puts players in a unique galaxy on their own. Achievers might find enjoyment through the objectives that the game lays out for you, but the mood makes it feel extremely optional. Killers seem to only have the wildlife to massacre and the game is far too quiet for socializers. Yet it’s this quietness that I really appreciate.
A Different State of Mind
When I play Final Fantasy 14, my mind gets distracted by everything going on in game. There’s always a new level to gain or a new quest to pick up. I stay attentive in combat because a party wipe could very well occur if one player drops the ball. In the end, I gain more satisfaction knowing that my girlfriend and the other players are enjoying the game than what I gain on my own.
No Man’s Sky is solely my experience. The pressure to follow objectives is minimal and I am left free to take the game at my own pace. When I play, I tend to play sub-optimally; flying in between planets for minutes instead of engaging the warp drive. It’s my belief that my mind is far more relaxed and set itself on autopilot. In that quietness, I’m free to reflect on anything and everything.
None of us are a pure extrovert or a pure introvert. We all have our own levels of high interaction and low interaction. It just so happens that these to games balance my scale.

Under Us
Alphys, the Royal Scientists has recruited the OC Fallen Human and the main cast to journey into the Core. Dawning Beansuits to protect them from the something-science-sounding wave, they successfully enter uncharted territory. Or at least most of them did.
The Fallen Human Realizes that something is amiss when they find the first victim paralyzed . Calling an emergency meeting, minds are put together to learn that an imposter is among them. Unless the crew can stabilize the core or identify the imposter, they may face the chaotic end of what the Core might do to them; an unknown date that is feared.
Which crewmate did the Imposter take? Did they dawn Sans’ Beansuit while he dozed off? Did they convince Mettaton to start a podcast instead off journeying into the Core?
Who is the imposter? Flowey? Chara? W. D. Gaster? Jerry?
How will this story conclude? Only Determination will tell.
ASJGH nEED WRITING IDEAS.
OKAY- SO
I am trying to write stuff, but I don't know what to write about. I mainly like Among Us or Undertale stuff, maybe a little bit of DND(spoilers I have NO idea how DND works, but have seen small snippets of scenarios that would happen in a DND thing)
I really like twisting the plot into unexpected ways and I usually do it in relation to the main theme. Please help. Please I am begging the Gods of Tumblr that someone will see this and have an incredibly silly idea that I just need to write or draw or SOMETHING-

The heart will be drained of blood due to leaking out near the liver. The bacteria will be feasting on the muscular tissue of the heart making the organ weirdly soupy.
I have a weird question about blood in bodies - FOR WRITING PURPOSES.
Let's say you need to eat a human heart (again, this is for writing purposes). The heart is not fresh, like in Game of Thrones. INSTEAD, it's the heart of your ex-BFF who was recently buried and you - FOR MOVIE REASONS - have to dig up her body and eat her heart.
.... is the blood solid?
like, when she bites into it, how much blood would she get on her face and clothes?
IT GENUINELY WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL TO ME IF SOMEONE, FOR WHATEVER REASON, HAS AN ANSWER FOR THIS.

Update:
The Texas Supreme Court has overturned Judge Gambles decision.
Unless if Kate Cox seeks out an abortion from a different state, the current ruling would have her wait until the fetus dies or is born to die before receiving medical care. This will place her at risk of death and even higher risk of losing the possibility to successfully bring future children into her family.
The score is still stands as at Pro Choice losing, Pro Life scoring an own goal, and Pro Control winning while the masses fail to realize that they are playing.
American Government 324: The Curious Case of Cox
Alright class, it’s lecture time. On Thursday, December 8th, 2023, news media outlets reported the following stories listed below:
To do the articles injustice and sum them up, Kate Cox achieved the unimaginable and convinced a Texas Judge that she needed an abortion. I conclude that to sum up the story in this manner would be an injustice because there’s a lot more going on.
Kate Cox is a 31-year-old mother of two who received the bad news that her twenty-week-old fetus suffered from a genetic condition called trisomy 18 — a diagnosis, the lawsuit says, that means her pregnancy may not last until birth and if it does, her baby will be stillborn or survive only for minutes, hours or days.
While the condition could affect Cox’s livelihood negatively if she has to carry the fetus to labor. Her threat of death doesn’t seem to be the deciding factor. In fact, only one of the three news sources mentioned info about Cox’s threat of death. No, the determining factor was how the condition would affect Cox’s future possibilities to successfully have more children. Judge Gamble didn’t feel like gambling those future possibilities:
"The idea that Ms. Cox wants desperately to be a parent, and this law might actually cause her to lose that ability is shocking and would be a genuine miscarriage of justice. So I will be signing the order and it will be processed and sent out today."
The Philosophy of the Law
Gamble's decision is believed to be the first time a judge has allowed a woman to legally get an abortion since the decision of Roe v. Wade in 1973, according to the Center for Reproductive Rights. While this ruling only applies to the case of Cox, it speaks volumes about the philosophies that are held within this individual overturning.
The Pro Life community might still be divided over when personhood is achieved in a fetus, yet at twenty weeks, the fetus has not only developed a heart but has developed the brain and neural system. At this stage in development the argument for personhood is the strongest. In turn, the pro-life philosophy should see this abortion closer in regards to murder. The decision to approve this abortion never took the wants and desires of the fetus, merely the mother’s decision on its behalf to make it end in the least suffering manner.
The law isn’t interested in that though. The law granted the fetus to be aborted so that future fetuses that have yet to been conceived have a chance to thrive. In the pro-life tongue, the fetus lost its right to life from fetuses that haven’t been conceived yet.
While the pro-choice community will most likely offer sighs of relief to Cox’s court trial, this isn’t a philosophical victory for the movement. I would dare say that Cox was only privilege with the ability to choose because her ideals mirror those who held the legal power.
Wise individuals should easily see that the system of abortion bans truly only benefits the movement of pro-control, because those who are in control can bend the law to their liking when it suits them.
The Daunting Road Ahead
Cox’s journey remains unfinished as the difficulty of finding a doctor to perform the abortion remains a mountain of challenge on its own. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's office issued a statement saying the temporary restraining order "will not insulate hospitals, doctors, or anyone else, from civil and criminal liability for violating Texas' abortion laws." Paxton's office also included a letter sent to several medical centers outlining action it will take against doctors who perform an abortion.
While Cox reportedly remains hopeful, the current pressure faced by Texan medical practitioners told her their "hands are tied" and she would have to wait until the fetus dies inside her or carry the pregnancy to term, when she will have to undergo a third C-section "only to watch her baby suffer until death.” This situation resembles Savita Halappanavar case in Ireland of 2012.

Cinematography 324: The Deaths that Disney Bought
Years ago, the film theorists channel posted a series of three videos that speculated the kill count of the all Disney movies with the only exclusion being sequels. The channel pulled in multiple factors of scientific speculation; ranging from the extreme hunting scenario found in the Lion King and the war featured in Milan to Animal Casualties from forest fires and the historical decimation of Ancient Crete. The conclusion fell on the forgettable movie titled Dinosaurs by calculating the population of the lemur society that was wiped out from an asteroid collision.
Now the first episode speculated that the series would look at other properties of Disney, such as Pixar, Marvels Universe and Star Wars. However, these projects never saw the light of day. I assume that the kill count of these franchises couldn’t compete with the tragedy of over 300,000 ancient lemurs. Like how could any film from any franchise surpass the figure of- where is that music from?
Tumblr media
Infinity Wars. Thanos wiped out half of all life in the universe. Easy post.
Except Infinity Wars is prohibited from competing. (Oh snap!)
You see, I’m choosing to abide by the same rules that was posed by the film theorists, and one of those stipulations was that sequels films are excluded from this death count. Avengers: Infinity Wars is a sequel of The Avengers series.
Since I’m adhering to the rules set by the game theorist: it would probably be best to list them out here:
A Film cannot be a sequel of a preexisting movie.
We can only count life that meets MatPat’s definition of sentience.
If a being can speak, they are considered sentient.
If a being can act as a intentionally driven character, they are sentient.
We can only count deaths that happened within the run time of the movie.
Implied deaths of background characters totally count. MatPat was able to justify Dinosaurs as the Disney winner by using estimations of prehistoric lemurs
I’m also going to say that we can only count implied deaths that occur due to events of the movie. MatPat didn’t factor what animals could have died naturally in Bambi based off of Bambi’s time frame of growing into adulthood. In order for the death to count, the cause has to be imply by events of the movie.
With the rule revisited, Let’s get back to the Avengers in the MCU. Along with said movie, the only possible contenders are movies depicting origin stories of individual superheroes.
Listen, I don’t have the luxury of meticulously picking apart every film to show why the folks who didn’t make first… didn’t make first. The theory staff makes their living off of answering the questions that nobody asked, while I have to scrape by teaching literature and writing.
I’m just going to say that Captain America: The First Avenger takes the top spot for Marvel.
Tumblr media
The movie shows Rogers’ involvement in World War Two. An estimated total of 70–85 million people perished, or about 3% of the 2.3 billion (est.) people that consisted of the global population in 1940. Now, I can’t count all those deaths because the film starts in March of 1942, when Steve is trying to enroll. By that point the war is 41% of the way through Still, we can say that a rough estimation of 45,234,838 folks died in WW2 during the run time of Captain America: The First Avenger.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe easily surpasses the entire death count of Disney without Thanos having to lift a finger of the infinity gauntlet; hinting that man might be one of the greatest evils out there.
(Super Sarcastic tone) Cool, the superhero franchise beat the kill count of children movies. Who could have predicted that the MCU wins in a kill count?
Um… actually… it… doesn’t win.
Wait what-
Tumblr media
On October 30, 2012, Disney acquired Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion in the form of cash and stock with $1.855 billion in stock. Now, by the declared rules of film theory, Episodes 5-9 are out of the running. I’m also going to rule out the prequels because while they are technically not sequels, it’s just easier for me.
This leaves A New Hope as the sole contender.
Along with Obi-wan, Uncle Owen, and Aunt Beru, we see the explosion of the Death Star and the entire planet of Alderaan. So… 1+1+1… +1,148,309… +~2 billion… equals 2,001,148,312 deaths in the span of the film where faster-than-light travel exists.
Tumblr media
(Super Sarcastic Tone) Wow, Who could have predicted that a franchise about a galactic war has the highest kill count?
It doesn’t… though.
What the-
Tumblr media
Pixar?!?!? You’re telling us that there’s a higher kill count in Pixar than in the destruction of a planet?!?!?
I am. There is.
Finding Nemo is a film where Marlin, a father clown fish, travels to rescue Nemo, his only son, who has been kidnapped by a Australian dentist. The Australian dentist has a name, but I can’t recall it.
In his travels, Marlin comes across a band of sharks… that have given up eating fish and only threaten him and Dory when one of this relapses hard and fails to eat them. They encounter an Angler fish that fails to eat them. They cross a field of jellyfish and survive. After all that, it was smooth surfing the EAC with Crush to Australia.
Upon reuniting with his son, Marlin and Nemo then have to rescue Dory from being captured by a large fishing net. The movie introduces the audience to industrial fishing l. While no fish were caught in the scene, it leads me to wonder how many fish died from industrial fishing.
Based off of old research from 2003, the release year of Finding Nemo, 4,320,000 tons or 8.64 billion pounds of fish were caught that year. Random research also found that the average weight of fish comes to 64.5 pounds. Therefore; I have a rough estimate of 133,953,488.372 fish caught in 2003.
Wait. That’s… not enough deaths. Not enough to outclass Marvel or Star Wars. And that figure is going to be far less since the film didn’t cover the entire year. I guess I was wrong in claiming that Pixar had an extreme kill count.
JK. They also encounter a whale. Now probably in a weird sense of humor, the writers have Marlin fear the whale due to his traumatic history with bigger fish. Luckily; Dory is there to comfort him with facts.
Tumblr media
So, sentient Krill are being digested by whales. So how many die within Finding Nemo? Rather than counting the krill on screen, we can predict the figure by whales eating habits. It a little tricky because most sources report that a whale consumes 3600 kg of krill per day, so now we need to know how much a krill weighs. Most sources say that a krill weighs 1 gram. So, a whale eats 3.6 million krill in one day.
Yeah but that’s in one day, and the movie is only two hours long. And that whale stop eating krill to give Marlin and Dory a lift.
While the run time is two hours long, there’s evidence that the film takes weeks to transpire. While Marlin is making the trip from the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney Australia, Nemo aids Gill with his plan to break out the Tank Gang by clogging up the filter with a pebble and allowing the tank to become filled with green algae. Source claim that it would take at least 15 days for the algae to cover the tank. We also know that Nemo only acts to clog the tank when he received word from Nigel that his father was coming to rescue him. So fifteen days plus the time it would take for the word of mouth to reach Nigel.
Okay… okay.
For word of mouth, let’s say that the sea creatures are effectively talkative to the point where the fastest creature can do most of the leg work? Well… not leg work. Fin work? Actually it would be wing work. Pelicans can fly at speeds of 48 kmph. The word of mouth could reach Nemo long before Marlin finishes riding the EAC.
However, the distance from the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney Australia is about 2000 km if we were to assume the best case scenario the pelican would have caught ear of Marlin’s story around 1904 and flown straight to Sydney. That would be about a two day flight with a reasonable 15 days for Crush to cruise 112 kilometers each day. However that would mean that Merlin spent had to cover 96 km on his and Dory’s slower speed.
Let’s assume that murder whale shaved off 36km traveling faster than average by doing short bursts but could only carry Marlin and Dory for an hour at most before needing to breathe. Now Marlin and Dory have to cover 60 km.
While clown fish can swim as fast as 18 km per hour Dory was probably averaging about 4km. So fifteen more hours rounded up to a day for the deadly encounters.
So from Nemo’s fin-napping to Marlin arriving there would be 18 days. In 18 days, one whale eats 64.8 million krill. With the film set in present day and the estimated blue whale population of 2300 in 2003, that figure comes to 149.04 billion deaths of krill by blue whales alone.
And there you have it. Pixar has taken the current #1 spot thanks to overextended marine biology research.
But Hey, That’s just a theory.

I would recommend declaring how you plan to use your computer. If you’re looking to purchase a computer for playing the most advanced games, then you could view the software specs of those games to ensure that your computer could run them. If your buying a computer for graphic design, the software that you plan to use should also have recommended specs. However, if you’re getting a laptop for college classes, then the specs tend to not matter that much.
It also helps to set a budget in mind.
Anyone know where to buy a computer and what computer to buy, I know literally nothing about them and have never owned one.
I can NOT find any good advice on getting one for the first time, everything people talk about is super advanced stuff that I can't understand for the life of me.

Today’s Lecture: A World View on Reproductive Rights
It’s Monday: the day that everyone dreads. I believe that such a day is perfect for me to hold a lecture that tests the word count of this hellsite.
I’m beaming with joy that Papi has brought in this chart, because I can use it to form a counter argument against the claim about abortion access not being needed. Now if Papi’s claim about “abortion being the reason why healthcare is so behind” was true then we would either see that the countries with the lowest maternal mortality rates have abortion bans in place or that abortion doesn’t lower the maternal mortality rate by countries with pro choice policies about abortion.
Here’s how I plan to form my counter argument:
I’m going begin at the bottom of this list with a seven way tie for 1st place and see if the countries who are saving mothers lives are preventing their citizens from getting abortions. Please use the graph that Papi had so graciously provided to refer back to said country’s maternal mortality rate for 2019.
In listing out these countries, I’ll provide the information on where the country stood/stands on abortion and color code them: red for pro life and blue for pro choice. If any country is left in white, it’s due to said country’s abortion policy being so convoluted that I can’t tell where it stands. Said country’s might be limited in research to the next points.
I’ll also be including the country’s policy on maternity leave at the end of each report. If Papi’s claims hold true, then we should see the countries that ban abortions with better maternity leave.
Finally I’ll include the rape statistics of each country. If Papi speaks the truth, then we should see the rape statistics much higher in countries that allow abortions than those that ban them. To avoid confusion, all rape figures will be per 100,000 citizens.

A Global View
Iceland: Iceland offers a particularly progressive regulation: abortions are possible up to the end of the 22nd week of pregnancy at the pregnant person's request, and still accessible for medical reasons afterwards. Iceland has been pro choice since 1975. Maternity Leave in Iceland: 6 months and 6 weeks. Around 32 weeks. Rape statistic: 46.3.
Estonia: Abortion in Estonia has been legal since 23 November 1955, when Estonia was part of the Soviet Union. Estonia fine-tuned their legislation after the restoration of independence. Estonia allows abortion on-demand for any purpose, before the end the 11th week of pregnancy. Later abortions are permitted up to the 21st week (included) if the woman is younger than 15 years old or older than 45 years old, if the pregnancy endangers the woman's health, if the child may have a serious physical or mental defect, or if the woman's illness or other medical problem hinders the child's development. Women who want to have an abortion for personal reasons not specified in the abortion legislation will be expected to pay a fee according to the abortion provider's price list. Maternity leave in Estonia: 140 calendar days. Rape statistic: 11.46
Slovenia: Abortion in Slovenia was legalized in its current form (in Slovenia and the other former Yugoslav republics) on October 7, 1977. Article 55 of the Slovenia's Constitution reads:
"(Freedom of Choice in Childbearing)"
(Everyone shall be free to decide whether to bear children. The state shall guarantee the opportunities for exercising this freedom and shall create such conditions as will enable parents to decide to bear children.)
Maternity leave in Slovenia: 34 weeks. Rape statistics not available.
Slovak Republic: Abortion in Slovakia is legal on request until 12 weeks of pregnancy, and for medical reasons at later stages. Abortion was fully legalized on 23 October 1986. A female employee is entitled to 34 weeks of paid maternity leave. An employee expecting multiple births is entitled to 43 weeks of maternity leave, and a single mother is entitled to 37 weeks of paid maternity leave. Rape statistics not available
Norway: Abortion is provided for free to those who are living in Norway. Elective abortion care in Norway may only be provided during the first twelve weeks of gestation, measured as 11 weeks and 6 days from the first day of the last menstrual period. After this 12-week time limit, a request must be submitted to a special medical assessment board that will determine whether an abortion will be granted. This has been the case since. Also Norway provides 49 weeks of maternity leave. Rape statistic: 41.21
Ireland: Ireland had an abortion ban place for the county. Abortion had been prohibited in Ireland by the UK Offences against the Person Act 1861. Previously, the 8th Constitutional Amendment had given the life of the unborn foetus the same value as that of its mother.
In 2012, Irish abortion law received worldwide attention on the death of Savita Halappanavar, who had been denied an abortion while suffering “twisted oppression olympics” in the form of a septic miscarriage. In Halappanavar’s case, doctors opted against an abortion because the fetus had a heart rate and anyone carrying out a termination could theoretically have been prosecuted later.
A doctor told her a miscarriage was “inevitable” because of the rupturing of the membranes that protect the fetus in the womb, even though her baby was a normal size and was registering a heartbeat. The medical team had decided to “monitor the fetal heart in case an accelerated delivery might be possible once the fetal heart stopped,” the official report said. In Halappanavar’s case, an accelerated delivery would likely have meant a medically induced miscarriage.
When Halappanavar and her husband, Praveen, asked on Oct. 23 about medically inducing the miscarriage instead of delaying the inevitable, a doctor told them, “Under Irish law, if there’s no evidence of risk to the life of the mother, our hands are tied so long as there’s a fetal heart[beat],” the official report said.
The report added that once their waters have broken, pregnant women are at very high risk of infection, which in some cases can be fatal.
On Oct. 28 at 1:09 a.m., having caught an infection and gone into septic shock, Halappanavar was pronounced dead.
The avoidable death of Halappanavar, who was 17 weeks pregnant, proved that doctors — not politicians, police and judges — should help decide the best course of action in similar cases.
This increased calls to repeal the Eighth Amendment. The constitutional and legislative provisions were discussed at a Citizens' Assembly in 2016–17, and at an Oireachtas committee in 2017, both of which recommended substantial reform and framed the debate of the referendum in May 2018.
Now, Abortion is permitted in Ireland during the first twelve weeks of pregnancy, and later in cases where the pregnant woman's life or health is at risk, or in the cases of a fatal foetal abnormality.
In Ireland, child-bearing individuals are lucky to have laws which entitle them to time with their new baby. Every mother is entitled to 42 weeks of Maternity Leave, 26 weeks paid and 16 weeks unpaid. Rape statistic: 20.47
Luxembourg: Abortion in Luxembourg was liberalized on 15 November 1978.[1] Before the end of 12 weeks after conception (14 weeks after the last menstrual period),[2] a woman who determines herself to be "in distress" can obtain an abortion after two consultations with a doctor, one medical and one psycho-social, and a waiting period of at least three days. An abortion at later stages can only be obtained when two doctors certify there is a danger to the mother or fetus.
With 20 weeks of maternity leave and 6 additional months for parental leave, Luxembourg is among the countries which offer nice conditions for welcoming a child. Rape statistic: 12.58
Poland: Poland is one of the only few countries in the world where abortion became largely outlawed since the 1990s after decades of permissive liberalized legislation during the communist–era Polish People's Republic.
Now, while the Poland is the country with abortion restrictions in place with the 8th lowest maternity mortality rate, there are stipulations that leads to it. Abortion in Poland is legal only in cases when the pregnancy is a result of a criminal act or when the woman's life or health is in danger. Furthermore, there appears to be no ramifications for a Polish individual to travel outside the country to seek abortion services.
Maternity leave in Poland: 14 weeks. Rape statistic: 1.5
Denmark: Abortion in Denmark was fully legalized on 1 October 1973, allowing the procedure to be done electively if a woman's pregnancy has not exceeded its 12th week. Under Danish law, the patient must be over the age of 18 to decide on an abortion alone; parental consent is required for minors, except in special circumstances. An abortion can be performed after 12 weeks if the woman's life or health are in danger. A woman may also be granted an authorization to abort after 12 weeks if certain circumstances are proved to be present (such as poor socioeconomic condition of the woman, risk of birth defects in the baby, the pregnancy being the result of rape, or mental health risk to mother). In 1973 Denmark was among the first countries in Western Europe to legalise the practice.
In families where the parents are living together at the time of the birth of a child, the mother is entitled to four weeks’ leave before the birth, and each parent is entitled to 24 weeks' leave with parental benefit after the birth, i.e. 52 weeks in all. It is possible for one parent to transfer some of the weeks of leave to the other parent.
The mother may in general take:
Pregnancy leave with parental benefit four weeks before the expected date of birth.
Two weeks of leave with parental benefit after the birth, which must be taken immediately after the birth of the child.
Eight weeks of leave with parental benefit after the birth, which must be taken before the child is 10 weeks old. The period of leave may however be extended if work is partially resumed by agreement with the employer.
14 weeks of leave with parental benefit, which must be taken before the child is one year old. The period of leave may however be extended or postponed until the child reaches the age of nine if the relevant conditions are met. If the mother is an employee, nine of the weeks of leave must be taken before the child is one year old, unless she is prevented from taking the leave due to special circumstances.
The two weeks of leave always start the day after the birth. The possible four weeks of pregnancy leave before childbirth will thus be shorter if the mother gives birth before the expected date of birth, and longer if the mother gives birth after the expected date of birth.
The father or co-mother may take:
Two weeks' leave with parental benefit after the birth, or, by agreement with the employer, before the child is ten weeks old. The period of leave may however be extended if work is partially resumed by agreement with the employer.
22 weeks of leave with parental benefit, which must be taken before the child is one year old. The period of leave may however be extended or postponed until the child reaches the age of nine if the relevant conditions are met. If the mother or co-mother is an employee, nine of the weeks must be taken before the child is one year old, unless they are prevented from taking the leave due to special circumstances.
If the parents are not living together at the time of the birth, or if a parent is a single parent or is in another special situation, the parent is entitled to a different distribution of the leave period that takes account of the parent's situation.

Spain: Abortion legislation in Spain has a fluctuating history. During the 1930s, abortion law was liberalized in the area controlled by the Republicans, but this was short-lived, as the Franco regime, with support of the Catholic Church, outlawed abortion again. The laws were relaxed in 1985, and were further liberalized in 2010. Abortion remains a controversial political issue in Spain, but regular moves to restrict it have lacked majority support. In recent years, abortion rates have been falling, as better access to emergency contraception has been introduced.
Abortion in Spain is legal upon request up to 14 weeks of pregnancy, and at later stages for serious risk to the health of the woman or fetal defects.
Maternity leave in Spain: 16 weeks. Rape statistic 3.41
Italy: Italian women are eligible to request an abortion for health, economic or social reasons, including the circumstances under which conception occurred. Abortions are performed free of charge in public hospitals or in private structures authorized by the regional health authorities. The law also allows termination in the second trimester of the pregnancy only when the life of the woman would be at risk if the pregnancy is carried to term or the fetus carries genetic or other serious malformations which would put the mother at risk of serious psychological or physical consequences.
Maternity leave in Italy: 5 months Rape statistics not available
Germany: Abortion in Germany is illegal, but not punishable during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy under the condition of mandatory counseling, and it is permitted later in pregnancy in cases that the pregnancy poses an important danger to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman. In the case that the abortion is because of rape it is legal in the first 12 weeks without mandatory counseling. Otherwise in the illegal, but not punishable case, the woman needs to receive counseling, called Schwangerschaftskonfliktberatung ("pregnancy-conflict counseling"), at least three days prior to the abortion and must take place at a state-approved centre, which afterwards gives the applicant a Beratungsschein ("certificate of counseling"). Abortions that do not meet these conditions are punishable.
Mothers in Germany are entitled to 14 weeks of maternity leave.
Israel: Abortion in Israel had been illegal, but became legal, subject to a termination committee's approval, under the penal code of 1977.
Abortion in Israel is permitted when determined by a termination committee, with the vast majority of cases being approved as of 2019. The rate of abortion in Israel has steadily declined since 1988, and compared to the rest of the world, abortion rates in Israel are moderate. According to government data, in Israel, abortion rates in 2016 dropped steadily to 9 per 1,000 women of childbearing age, lower than England (16.2) and the United States (13.2). 99% of abortions are carried out in the first trimester. Despite allegations of permitting abortion under limited circumstances, Haaretz noted in 2019 that this is not the case and abortion is almost always permitted in Israel.
Maternity leave in Israel: 15 weeks of paid leave equal to their full salary and an additional 11 weeks of unpaid leave. Rape statistic: 13.96
Japan: Abortion in Japan is allowed under a term limit of 22 weeks for endangerment to the health of the pregnant woman, economic hardship, or rape. In April 2023, medical abortion was approved in Japan for pregnancies up to 9 weeks of gestation.
Japan maternity leave: 14 weeks in total 6 weeks before the estimated due date until 8 weeks after giving birth. Rape statistic: 1.05
Australia: Abortion in Australia is legal nationwide. There are no federal abortion laws, and it has been fully decriminalised in all jurisdictions, starting with Western Australia in 1998 and lastly in South Australia in 2022.
To get Parental Leave Pay for a child born or adopted from 1 July 2023, Australians need to meet certain criteria. Parental Leave Pay for a child born or adopted from 1 July 2023 is based on the weekly rate of the national minimum wage. Australian families can get up to 20 weeks, which is 100 payable days. Rape statistic: 28.6
Belgium: Abortion in Belgium was fully legalised on 4 April 1990. Abortion is legal until 12 weeks after conception (14 weeks after the last menstrual period).
If you are an employee, maternity leave is 15 weeks (17 weeks in the case of multiple births). This is made up of two periods: prenatal leave of a maximum of 6 weeks (maximum of 8 weeks in the case of multiple births), postnatal leave of a minimum of 9 weeks. Rape statistic: 29.87
The Czech Republic: Abortion in the Czech Republic is legally allowed up to 12 weeks of pregnancy, with medical indications up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, in case of grave problems with the fetus at any time.
The Czech Republic offers up to 28 weeks (or seven months) of paid maternity leave for all working women who have been employed for at least 12 consecutive months prior to giving birth. This includes both full-time and part-time employees, regardless of how long they've worked or what type of job they hold. Rape statistic: 5.97
Greece: Abortion in Greece has been fully legalized since 1986, when Law 1609/1986 was passed effective from 3 July 1986. Also, Greece provides 43 weeks of maternity leave. Rape statistics: 1.65
Sweden: Abortion in Sweden was first legislated by the Abortion Act of 1938.[3] This stated that an abortion could be legally performed in Sweden upon medical, humanitarian, or eugenical grounds. That is, if the pregnancy constituted a serious threat to the woman's life, if she had been impregnated by rape, or if there was a considerable chance that any serious condition might be inherited by her child, she could request an abortion. The law was later augmented in 1946 to include socio-medical grounds and again in 1963 to include the risk of serious fetal damage. A committee investigated whether these conditions were met in each individual case and, as a result of this prolonged process, abortion was often not granted until the middle of the second trimester. As such, a new law was created in 1974, stating that the choice of an abortion is entirely up to the woman until the end of the 18th week. Side note: Sweden provides 480 days of maternity leave. Rape statistic: 87.97
The Netherlands: Abortion in the Netherlands was fully legalized on November 1, 1984, allowing elective abortion care up to the 24th week of the pregnancy.
The mother has a right to a total of 16 weeks of leave. The first 6 weeks are called pregnancy leave and can be taken before the baby comes, while the remaining 10 weeks are called maternity leave and are taken after the baby is born. Rape statistic: 11.73
Austria: Abortion in Austria has been fully legalized since 1 January 1975.
All employed women are entitled to 16 weeks Maternity leave with 16 weeks payment (100 per cent of average income), except for short-time employed women. Rape statistic: 18.7
The United Kingdom: Abortion in the United Kingdom is de facto available under the terms of the Abortion Act 1967 in Great Britain and the Abortion (Northern Ireland) (No.2) Regulations 2020 in Northern Ireland. The procurement of an abortion remains a criminal offence in Great Britain under the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, although the Abortion Act provides a legal defence for both the pregnant woman and her doctor in certain cases.
Across the United Kingdom, abortion is permitted on the grounds of:
risk to the life of the pregnant woman;
preventing grave permanent injury to her physical or mental health;
risk of injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman or any existing children of her family (up to a term limit of 24 weeks of gestation); or
substantial risk that, if the child were born, they would "suffer from such physical or mental abnormalities as to be seriously handicapped".[1]
The third ground is typically interpreted liberally with regards to mental health to create a de facto elective abortion service; 98% of the approximately quarter-million abortions performed in Great Britain are done so for that reason.
In Northern Ireland, abortion is also permitted within the first 12 weeks of a pregnancy for any reason.
Under the UK's devolution settlements, abortion policy is devolved to the Scottish Parliament and the Northern Ireland Assembly but not to the Welsh Parliament (Senedd). Abortion was previously highly restricted in Northern Ireland although it was permitted in limited cases. In 2019, during a time when the Assembly was not operating, the UK Parliament repealed most restrictions on abortion in Northern Ireland; the current Regulations were subsequently introduced by Parliament in 2020.
Maternity leave in the UK can range from 6-12 months. Rape statistic: 27.29
New Zealand: Abortion in New Zealand is fully decriminalised and available within the framework of the Abortion Legislation Act 2020, which entirely eliminated the criminal status of abortion and allows termination on request during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy. After 20 weeks abortion is permitted only if a health practitioner deems it "clinically appropriate" and consults at least one other health practitioner. However, the law does not specify what the conditions are which constitute "clinically appropriate", and there are no criminal penalties. Abortion is illegal only if a person who is not a licensed health practitioner procures or performs it. The decriminalization of abortion in New Zealand started around 1977.
Maternity leave in New Zealand: 26 weeks. Rape statistic: 33.76
Switzerland: Abortions could be easily obtained through the cooperation of physicians, especially in the more urban cantons. In March 2001, the Swiss Federal Assembly approved a change to the penal code providing for the first trimester rule outlined above. Since October 2002, abortions are legal until the 12th week of pregnancy.
Maternity leave in Switzerland: 14 weeks. Rape statistic: 8.24
Canada: Abortion in Canada is legal throughout pregnancy, and is publicly funded as a medical procedure under the combined effects of the federal Canada Health Act and provincial health-care systems.
EI maternity benefits can be paid for a maximum of 15 weeks. You cannot receive EI maternity benefits beyond 17 weeks after the expected or actual week of childbirth, whichever of the two is later. EI standard parental benefits can be paid for a maximum of 35 weeks. Rape statistic: 1.43
France: Abortion in France is legal as an elective medical procedure during the first 14 weeks from conception. Abortions at later stages of pregnancy up until birth are allowed if two physicians certify that the abortion will be done to prevent injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman; a risk to the life of the pregnant woman; or that the child will suffer from a particularly severe illness recognized as incurable.
French mothers can receive up to 26 weeks of leave
Mothers are granted a minimum of 16 weeks of parental leave. Mothers are required to take at least eight weeks of leave. In the event of a complicated pregnancy, mothers are granted an extra two weeks of leave before birth and up to four additional weeks after birth.
Rape statistic: 39.59
Korea: Abortion in South Korea was decriminalized, effective 1 January 2021, by a 2019 order of the Constitutional Court of Korea.
Maternity leave in South Korea: It's compulsory for mothers to take 45 consecutive days of leave after childbirth. Of the 90 days maternity leave, at least 60 days (or 75 days in case of twins) is paid by the company; with the remainder paid by the government. Rape statistic: 13.03
Finland: Abortion will be legal and free of charge upon request in Finland in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy starting from 1 September 2023. Between 1970 and 2023 abortion was widely accessible in practice for a variety of reasons (including socioeconomic factors) but nevertheless the law required the pregnant woman to state her motivations and get approval from one or two doctors.
By international standards, political controversy in Finland regarding abortion has been mild and incidence is low. Abortions in Finland have been decreasing since the 1960's. In 2021 about 7600 abortions were performed.
Maternity leave begins at the earliest 50 working days, and at the latest 30 working days, before the estimated due date. When maternity leave begins, Kela (Finnish Social Insurance Institution) will pay maternity allowance (äitiysraha) for a duration of 105 working days. Rape statistic: 24.7
Chile: Chile's abortion laws have undergone significant changes in recent years. Prior to 2017, Chile had one of the strictest abortion laws globally, prohibiting the practice altogether.[1] However, since then, abortion has become legal in certain circumstances.
Currently, abortion is legal in three situations: when the life of the mother is at risk, when the fetus is not viable, and in cases of rape during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy (or 14 weeks if the woman is under 14 years old).
Female employees are entitled to 18 weeks of maternity leave, 6 weeks before the child's birth (prenatal rest is extended if the delivery doesn't happen within the 6 weeks), and the remainder 12 weeks after the child is born. Rape statistic: 19.45

Employees are entitled to 18 weeks (126 days) of paid maternity leave by SODRA, paid at a rate of 77.58% of the employee's average salary (€240 minimum) after one year of employment. Maternity leave is to be taken 70 days before the birth of the child and for 56 days after. Rape statistic: 2.64
Hungary: Abortion is regulated under the Act LXXIX of 1992 on the protection of fetal life. Under this law, an abortion is normally allowed until 12 weeks. However, in certain circumstances the limit can be extended to 18, 20 or 24 weeks.
Women have 24 weeks of maternity leave but can take up to three years of leave and receive maternity benefits. Rape statistic: 5.22
Portugal: Abortion laws in Portugal were liberalized on April 10, 2007, allowing an elective abortion to be provided if a woman's pregnancy has not exceeded its tenth week.
By Portuguese Labor Law Regulations, employees are entitled to a total initial parental leave of 120 or 150 consecutive days (depending on the parents' choice) Rape statistic: 3.09
Turkey: Abortion in Turkey has been legal on request since May 27, 1983. Abortion is legal up to 10 weeks of pregnancy, and in special circumstances the time threshold can be extended if there is danger to the woman's life or the life of the fetus.
Turkish legislation guarantees a total of sixteen (16) weeks of paid maternity leave; eight (8) weeks before and eight (8) weeks after birth (Article 74, Turkish Labor Code No. 4857). Rape statistic: 15.6
The United States of America: since this graph is dated to 2019, I’ll have to base America in the time before the reversal of Roe v Wade. In this time frame, the idea of reproductive rights was assumed by the nation with the belief that any of attempting to restrict abortion access would be found unconstitutional. The legal interpretation of that time would reason that reproductive rights would be protected under the ninth amendment of the Constitution.
However, that didn’t stop pro life states from hindering abortion providers by demanding the facilities to adhere to ridiculous regulations that would starve those states of certain facilities.
Costa Rica: Abortion in Costa Rica is severely restricted by criminal law. Currently, abortions are allowed in Costa Rica only in order to preserve the life or physical health of the woman. Abortions are illegal in almost all cases, including when the pregnancy is a result of rape or incest and when the foetus suffers from medical problems or birth defects. Both social and economic factors have led to this legal status.
The Costa Rica Labor Code has special regulations for maternity leave. The employer has to allow maternity leave for one month before the birth and for three months after the birth of the baby. The employer has to pay 50 percent of the salary for all the four months of leave. Rape statistics: 35.53
Mexico: Mexico recent history has been adapting to the pro choice agenda. In 2021, they deemed it unconstitutional to deny abortions to its citizens. 2019 saw the beginnings of loosening these restrictions, however many Mexican states were still placing women in pre-trial detention for murder due to the spontaneous miscarriages of pregnancies.
Working mothers are entitled to a 12-week break (6 weeks before the child is born and 6 weeks after childbirth as maternity leave), with IMSS paying them 100 percent of their registered salary.
Latvia: Abortion in Latvia is legal and is available on request within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy; and for medical reasons until 22 weeks.
In accordance with Latvian law, paid maternity leave for women can last up to 140 days (70 days before and after the birth of a child). Rape statistic: 10.71
Colombia: Abortion in Colombia is freely available on request up to the 24th week of pregnancy, due to a ruling by the Constitutional Court on February 21, 2022. Later in pregnancy, it is only allowed in cases of risk of death to the mother, fetal malformation, or rape, according to a Constitutional Court ruling in 2006. However, back in 2019, the view on abortion fell farther towards a total ban.
Women are entitled to 14 weeks paid maternity leave, which can be taken from up to two weeks before the expected date of delivery. One week’s maternity leave is mandatory. Rape statistic: 34.62
Based on my research, it appears that a healthy majority of the countries with the lowest maternal mortality rates support access to abortion. Out of the thirty five countries that I went over, only three could be deemed as heavily restricted. Now this database is insufficient, so let me provide the data for more countries with abortion bans.
There are 20 countries in the world where abortion is illegal. These countries include Andorra, Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Iraq, Jamaica, Laos, Madagascar, Malta, Mauritania, Nicaragua, Palau, Philippines, Republic of the Congo, San Marino, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Suriname. In all of these countries, abortion is prohibited altogether, meaning that it is illegal in all circumstances, including cases of rape, incest, and when the woman’s life is in danger. Women who seek abortions in these countries may face criminal charges, imprisonment, and even death.
In 2020, maternal mortality ratio for Dominican Republic was 107 deaths per 100,000 live births. Every female worker is entitled to enjoy 12 weeks of maternity leave(including at least six weeks after confinement). Rape stat: 9.49
Egypt: 64 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Female employees who have been employed for 10 consecutive months are entitled to 90 days of paid maternity leave and 45 days following the birth of a baby. Rape stat: 0.12
El Salvador: 73 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. In El Salvador, a woman is entitled to a total of 16 weeks of paid maternity leave at the rate of 75% and is paid by social security. Rape stat: 30.3
Haiti: 437 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Female employees are entitled to 12 weeks of paid maternity leave. In Haiti, infertility carries a negative social stigma; women are expected to bear children. The period of pregnancy and birth is viewed as a happy, celebratory time for a family, not a medical health problem. Pregnant women are expected to fulfill their work obligations up until their delivery. Rape stat: 2.14
Honduras: 85 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Female workers are generally entitled to six weeks of maternity leave before the birth and six weeks after the birth, to be compensated at a rate of 66% of their wages, averaged over the prior three months. There is no statutory paternity leave in Honduras. Rape Stat: 5.25
Iraq: 79 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. An employee is entitled to at least 14 weeks of paid maternity leave per year. Up to eight weeks may be taken before the expected due date, subject to a medical certificate. Rape stat: N/A
Jamaica : 64 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Female employees are entitled to 3 months (12 weeks) of maternity leave. The first 2 months (8 weeks) of leave are paid at the regular salary rate, whereas the last month (4 weeks) is unpaid.Rape stat: 17.93
Laos: 544 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Before and after giving birth, women workers shall be entitled to at least 105 days of maternity leave; however, at least 42 days of such leave shall be taken after giving birth. Rape stat: I attempted to look into this matter and didn’t find a hard stat. However, Laos is a country where sex trafficking originates at a noticeable level.
Madagascar: 559 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Maternity leave is typically 14 weeks long in Madagascar. Rape stat: 1.38
Mauritania: 834 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. In virtue of the pregnancy, every woman is entitled to maternity leave for the period of 14 consecutive week, of which 8 weeks shall be taken after the birth. Rape stat: I attempted to look into this matter and didn’t find a hard stat. However, I found an article that claims that Mauritanian women were threatened with jail for claims of rape. Human Rights Watch (HRW) interviewed five women and girls who were prosecuted for “zina” - sex outside of marriage - after reporting sexual assault, including a 15-year-old girl who had been gang-raped and was sent to prison, it said in a report.
Nicaragua: 162 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Female employees in Nicaragua are entitled to 12 weeks of paid maternity leave, with four weeks to be taken before the birth and eight weeks after. Rape stat: 14.9
Philippines: 160 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. The benefit consists of one hundred five (105) days maternity leave with full pay and an option to extend for an additional thirty (30) days without pay. Rape stat: 8.85
Republic of Congo: 739 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Female employees are entitled to 15 consecutive weeks of maternity leave.
Rape stat: The Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the east of the country in particular, has been described as the "Rape Capital of the World", and the prevalence and intensity of all forms of sexual violence has been described as the worst in the world. Research shows 12% of the country's women have been raped at least once, and the crisis is not confined to conflict areas. 6% of 100,000= 6,000.
Senegal: 553 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Male employees in Senegal are entitled to one day of fully paid paternity leave on the birth of a child after at least six months of service. Female employees are entitled to 14 weeks of maternity leave, including eight weeks post-natal. Rape stat: 0.51
Sierra Leone: 2480 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Female employees are generally entitled to 12 weeks of paid maternity leave. Rape stat: 1.29
Suriname: 221 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. Suriname introduced 16 weeks of paid maternity leave. Rape stat: 43.3
What the Data shows
After entering all the figures that I found into an excel spreadsheet and finding averages, it is my well-educated guess that Papirouge must have butt-posted this blog entry because the claims spewed out in it are pure shit.
Out of the 38 countries listed in the maternal mortality report, only three had anti-abortion policies in effect.
All of the countries that reported a 0% maternal mortality rate had pro choice policies in regards to abortion. It’s my hypothesis that the policies that allowed women to abort fetuses that posed a major health concern to them aided greatly in achieving this figure.
The maternal mortality rate in countries with pro choice policies averages to approximately 7.41875. The maternal mortality rate in countries with pro life policies averages to approximately 378.589. Countries with pro-life policies lose 51 times more women due to maternal mortality than countries with pro-choice policies based on this data set.
Maternity leave in countries with pro choice policies averages to 134.6875 days. Maternity leave in countries with pro choice policies averages to 70.263 days. Countries with pro life policies only offered 52.1674% of the amount of maternity leave that countries with pro choice policies offer based on this data set.
The rate of rape in countries with pro choice policies averages around 20.418. The rate of rape in countries with pro life policies averages around 386.9956. A woman who lives in in a pro-life society is reportedly 18.95 times more likely to experience rape than a woman who lives in a pro choice society based on this data set.
So, if the current evidence shows that Papirouges claims do not hold water, should we be skeptical of their other claims?
Conclusion
So, what was the point of this lecture? Why did I spend my slow hours on the clock scouring Google and Wikipedia for all these statistics? The reason is rather simple: this lecture proves the importance of doing your own research upon hearing unprofessional individuals spout their opinions as facts. Research is its own reward because when you research the claims of someone who would jest that women should “throw their uteruses in the trash”, you’ll be empowered with knowledge to factually declare to that individual, “Hey bucko, you’re wrong. You’re not only subjectively wrong, you’re objectively wrong. While you might be subjectively wrong in claiming to care about women while later jeering then to get rid of their uteruses, you’re objectively wrong because the claims that you made can be disputed by facts.”
as someone who almost died as a minor giving birth after being raped I think u should care about the lives already here and not a clump of cells. most children conceived thru rape are abandoned or killed later on anyhow
Why are you guys acting like we had to pick a sidd between saving the life of women OR the baby?? What some sort of twisted oppression Olympics is that?? Why couldn't we fight for BOTH? This is precisely what prolifers are for.
First of all, we do care about saving pregnant women's life considering the fact that death in childbirth is ≤0.05% in developed countries.... It shows that a decent healthcare system is KEY in saving women's life during delivery - and that abortion isn't needed. COPE.
Tumblr media
The fearmongering around pregnancy kills is inversely proportionate to how it actually does IRL.
Unlike what pro abortionist liars say, no prolifer advocate for less medical help for women. And no, we aren't all Conservatives (I'm personally not) religious (secular/LGTB+ prolife organization are a thing) or males (most prolifers are female) so enough with the tHey hAte wOmeN shtick. We don't revel in women dying in childbirth struggling to get access to pregnancy care. Many of us are mom/have family and know how hard pregnancy & educating children is. You need to stop acting like only pro choicers knew what is was like to carry a baby and deliver it. That's precisely bc we know how hard pregnancy is that we consider women deserve better than a bandaid called abortion.
Abortion is the reason why pregnancy care is sooo behind in extra liberal spaces. By shoving abortion as the only solution for women hEaLthCaRe (because it's cheaper than an actual maternity leave + welfare) they never really bothered creating a decent alternative to help women who'd decide to keep their baby. How can abortion be a ✨choice✨ when the only alternative is sinking into helplessness & poverty? Damn, you guys totally understand it when it comes to prostitution but NEVER have the intellectual honesty to ponder that question when it comes to abortion 🤔
It baffles my mind how pro abortion applauded companies offering abortions instead of a decent maternity leave. You guys are the biggest useful idiots of capitalism while thinking you are soooo subversive 🙄 That's why you are making up false opposition in the form of the big bad traditional backwardish boogeyman to make you sound braver than you are lol There's no traditionalist conspiracy... Most of the planet never stopped valuing family over career or iNdepeNdencE (although there's a definite push for cultural liberalism - of which abortion culture is totally part of) It's just the pendulum naturally coming back after a decade of libfem koolaid.
You're doing exactly what the system wants from you. You're the equivalent of 'eyeliner so sharp it would slays patriarchy' kinda shit. Especially radfem who will scream that women aren't body part (and they're right) yet advocate for the very act of treating our body like such (against our biology most basic function such as fertility/procreation) - if not straight up vilifying its work ("a baby is a parasite"). Would it even occur to you that fetus aren't "body parts" to be disposed of?? You uterus is a "clump of cells" too, you might as well throw it to the trash 🤪
Oh and many of these "poor pregnant woman got arrested for abortion" have been debunked. You guys really need to get over these misleading sensational headlines seeking to demonize pro lifers (weird, I thought there was a back to traditionalism conspiracy 🤔 shouldn't mainstream media be on our side? 🤔). Those poor women either took drugs to kill their fetus or even killed them AFTER their birth (I'm sure there's a masterpost floating around debunking these stories).
Abortion doesn't even stop rape. If anything, if facilitates its erasure (planned Parenthood allying with pimps to perform underage abortion under the radar) You guys are just moving the goal to appeal to emotionalism. Even if rape disappeared overnight you'd stil advocate for abortion so please, shut up about it. You are exhausting.

Other writers left me with the impression that writers block was similar to a pirate captain misplacing the map to their buried treasure. My case is different. Writers block comes when something or someone disrupts my mindset. It more akin to pirates taking my unburied treasure.
