It's not everyday that the fleet-footed traveler would seek your company for a leisure walk in the Holy City of Okhema. You assumed that her message was an invitation to another one of her treasure hunts in an abandoned place of Amphoreus. So imagine your surprise when Cipher grabs a hold of your arm and leads you to a stall that offers a variety of pastries.

"Ah, nothing but the sweet aroma of fresh deserts! Not that these have any more value than gold," The next time you blink, the sweet delicacies had disappeared from their small stand. "But I don't plan on paying for them either." Cipher wraps an arm around your shoulder and quickly walk away before the stall owner could notice what she pulled off.

The two of you find yourselves in a secluded corner of the city and sat down beside one another on a nearby bench. She brings out the stolen pastries and places them in between you two. You're a little taken aback by the amount that she took and couldn't help but notice some of the large portions. You started to feel a little uneasy but didn't let it show on your face.

Cipher took one of the desserts that resembled a cream puff and ate it in one bite. She hummed in delight at the burst of flavor, quickly swallowing before taking another one. When you haven't made a move to grab a pastry for yourself, she's eyeing you mid-bite.

You stare off into the empty space when you began to contemplate the next course of action, fingers mindlessly fidgeting with themselves and your mind not keeping up with reality.

"Still with me?" Your train of thought was cut off when you noticed something in front of you. A familiar gloved hand that held one of the desserts was outstretched towards you. You're hesitant to take it but your body moves on its own anyway.

Once you took the pastry, you looked over to the woman that sat on the same bench. She wore her signature grin that was noticeably softer whenever she's with you. Cipher didn't force you to do anything, this was her silent way of encouraging you to at least try.

With a little nod from her, you bring the little pastry to your mouth and took a small bite. You let the piece of food sit on your tongue and your eyes light up at the sweetness of it. The feeling of uneasiness still lingered yet your heart desired for more of that flavor.

As time passed, the two of you slipped into comfortable silence. Most of the desserts were consumed by Cipher but she made sure to leave some of them for you just in case. You noticed that even with the two of you, there were still a lot of pastries left.

"You don't usually take this much food," You turned your head to gaze at the feline thief. "What are you planning to do with all of it if we can't finish it all?"

"I'll just give them to the little kids that are running around the market. If we have some to spare then the ones at the Marmoreal Palace will probably like to have some," Cipher didn't need to think over her answer. "I can probably sneak a few to Prince Sulks-a-lot. A little birdie told me that underneath that fiery exterior is a superb baker."

"He does have the potential to open his own bakery," You chuckled at the thought.

Cipher took a glance at the portions of desserts that stood in the middle of the two of you and smiled when she realized something. Her gaze looked up towards you, bright cyan optics peered into your own.

"There you go, you managed to eat a little more than usual. How do you feel?" Cipher inquired.

You looked to the side for a brief moment before looking back to face her with a small smile. "I feel.. somewhat satisfied. I'm still a little afraid but.." With an arm draped on the backrest of the bench, Cipher patiently awaited your response.

"I think I'm starting to accept this desire of mine." Your little grin grew. You could tell Cipher was pleased with your response with the way her tail stood up.

"Glad to hear it. Now, I would usually ask for your mode of payment.." Your smile suddenly dropped upon hearing the word 'payment'. She chuckled at how fast your expression changed. "Relax! I'm just messing with you. This one's on me." You breathed out in relief when she was merely jesting, another small laughter was elicited from the thief.

Cipher gazed at you with a warmth that you thought had long been frozen from her long journey as a demi-god. She leaned back against the bench as she took in the sight before her, you.

"After all, it doesn't matter to me on how much you want to eat but I just wanted you to know that it's okay to indulge in your own desires every once in a while." She smirked when your eyebrows rose.

"You know I'll still treasure you no matter what."

durin, now a human, tries to fly in his new form for the first time with you supervising him. you would think that he'd still be able to fly like he used to when he was a fairytale dragon but apparently not. instead, he jumped off the railing and landed face first on the ground.

When fans talk about Anaxa but they don't talk about how he much he believes. They don't mention how much faith he has in humanity, how much passion and love he suffers for that very faith he puts into his truth.

For a man that personifies Nietzsche— What truth is more true to him than one he suffers for? What love is more powerful than one he fights for?

As a heretic with no faith in the Titans, he holds the most faith out any of their believers

imagining anaxa catching you hunched over your desk late at night, working away at a difficult equation that was most likely beyond your expertise. upon reading over what had been occupying your time for hours, he would place his hand on your hand that was holding a pen before carefully taking the sheet of paper away from your view. already feeling the fatigue that overwhelmed your body, you let the sage guide your half-conscious self towards your makeshift bed in the laboratory. you had already drifted off to sleep when he slowly laid you down and made sure to cover your entire body with the blanket. anaxa stayed crouched down beside you as you slumbered, analyzing how the moonlight shined down upon your features in tranquil state. he then got up and walked back to your desk where the paper was left forgotten.

and instead of leaving you alone, he took the paper and the pen you previously held along with a lantern that emitted a warm amber light and walked back to your bed. he leaned against the sturdy wall as he sat cross-legged with the paper you were working on in front of him. he held the pen in his hand and the lantern continued to shine a soft light in the darkness of night. in the next few system hours, anaxa worked on finishing the equation for you. all while he was right beside you to accompany your slumbering form.

in fact, i'm currently writing quite a long one for them but unfortunately the fic does not contain even a hint of happiness in it 😿

phainon is no stranger to being a gentleman. whenever the two of you are spending time with one another, he would always be the one to treat you whether it was to lunch or even shopping in the local market. you'll always find his hand pressed to the small of your back but while weaving through crowds, he's got his arm wrapped around your shoulder in order not to lose you in the mass of people. this man is willing to give you the royalty treatment simply because you deserve it. when phainon finds himself deep in his thoughts, you will always be lingering at the back of his mind, and he unconsciously smiles at the mere thought of you.

despite her heart that had long been frozen, aglaea does not fail in the romance department. if you find yourself in the heroes' bath, she will tend to whatever needs you may have and even accompany you during your stay. if she happens to find the time, she will use it wisely and sew a brand new garment just for you. she has already wrapped it up and will hold onto it until she sees you again. the warmth you give by simply being by her side is so unfamiliar yet it is enough to begin thawing her frosted heart.

for the crown prince of castrum kremnos, mydei isn't exactly known for having a kind nature. regardless of his intimidating appearance, it's quite obvious that the prince has grown to have a soft spot for you. if there is someone causing you trouble, mydei will appear by your side and he's already scared the person off with merely one sentence. sometimes the two of you would engage in playful banter, countering the other’s teasing remark with another. mydei will never succumb to fatigue in the midst of battle for he always reminds himself that you are waiting for him on the other side.

being the first chrysos heir to obtain a titan's coreflame and ascend to that of a demi-god, tribbie finds themselves to be somewhat of a mentor figure towards the others. if they ever find out that you're not feeling well, they will make sure to remind you to always take care of yourself. they are always happy to educate you about various topics as they take joy in being able to talk for hours and having someone listening to them intently. it is only natural for the teacher to worry about their student’s well being, how else will they be able to continue guiding you if you’re not in a stable condition to be guided?

she may have no experience whatsoever about romance but that doesn't mean castorice refuses to try and learn. she takes interest in the things that bring you joy and will remember the smallest and most random things about yourself. although her power restricts herself from making any physical contact with you, castorice makes sure to keep you safe and free from harm's way. each passing moment that she spends with you, castorice cherishes each and every one all the same. the servant of death is no stranger to the inevitable fate that awaits you but she cannot even bring herself to think about that when you were so intertwined in the present.

a genius and a charmer basically sums up the kind of person that anaxa is. he is always amused to see you fascinated whenever he displays the unique magic that he holds. similar to tribbie, he is fond of teaching you things without making you feel dumb. he dislikes whenever you downplay your intelligence and assures you that you're talented and intellectually capable in your own way. anaxa is a firm believer that every little part of your being is fascinating, it makes him inclined to continue finding out more about who you are.

hyacine always finds herself pleased to see how well you respond to her affection. although a little shy at first, she is willing to try different things with you. after a tiring day, hyacine simply wants to lay down on a sturdy branch of a big tree with you beside her, watching the birds soar through the sky while the suns fall and stars rise. the priest does not know what future lies in store but what she does know is that one day, when you two have passed on, you will take to the skies beside one another and soar to the stars.. just like the birds the two of you have watched do all the time.

just like how she has a talent for swiping people's valuables, cipher sure has a talent for stealing your heart. seeing as you're already aware of her skill of sleight, you find yourself wondering which poor citizen she swiped whenever you receive a gift from her. although a thief should never linger too long around their target, cipher cannot refuse any request of physical touch from you. you don’t expect much out of the aftermath of a bad day, at least not until a certain thief shows up at your doorstep and greets you with a flower or two that had been swiped from one of the largest flower fields that amphoreus has to offer.

note: written before version 3.1 therefore some if not most characters are ooc. tribbie’s scenario is purely platonic, otherwise the rest of them can be intepreted as romantic or platonic.

ACT ONE , CHAPTER 0.0 - A Monster's Prologue

synopsis: IN WHICH you've been cursed with tremendous power that you hadn't asked for, now the entire galaxy is against you and aims for your decapitated head. In this game of hide and seek across the galaxy, who will come out triumphant? Hunter or prey?

The eclipse gazed down upon the land as it served as the evening's light. It looked down on the mortals who walked and ran, shining them almost as if the spotlight was on them. It shined on everything, the children, the adults, even the animals. 

The eclipse also shined on a child who was being chased around by hunters. Desperate breaths escaped the child's mouth as they ran for their life away from those who wish to stab a blade through their heart. The dark cloak that was being worn by the child flowed at the back of said child, almost giving the hunters an opportunity to take the child by their cape.

Unfortunately for them, they were stabbed in the leg by an arrow. It only made their heart beat faster as they ran while staggering. Though they knew they needed to shake the hunters off, they couldn't see or think properly through their blurry eyes because of the tears.

Their body started to move on its own with the sole goal of escaping by passing through the border that surrounded the entire nation. They knew beyond the border was filled with dangerous monsters that prey on anyone or anything they see but that reason was solely why it was the perfect place for soon-to-be monsters.

Monsters like them.

The younger one grunted out in pain the moment a swift blade came in contact with their right shoulder. The wound was pretty deep meaning the bleeding was also deep. They desperately held one hand over the wound tightly, they thought that it could've at least slowed down the bleeding yet it was only false hope.

They could feel their ears ringing, the numerous hunter's voices was replaced with a loud ringing that only they could hear. Eyelids started to grow heavy and their running was starting to slow down, they were getting tired.

They, the wounded child that was being chased by many hunters, started to panic even more inside. They were about to pass out but they knew the moment they went unconscious, the sooner their young life would to come to an end.

' I'm so scared.. I don't want to die. Why are they chasing me anyway?! I haven't.. am I gonna die? Did I.. do something wrong..? '

They knew no one was going to answer but they couldn't stop their final thoughts as their impending death was near. As much as they could remember.. They turned ten years old today. 

In the midst of what they thought were their final moments, their body was met harshly with a solid hard and rocky surface. When they recovered from the impact, they realized that a tall and large cliff loomed over their small figure. Perhaps it was truly the end for them. Right here, right now.

"Ah!" They let out a scream of surprise when they heard the sound of an arrow fired. The child looked to the side and realized that the arrow had narrowly missed their head as it pinned itself to the sturdy surface of the cliff.

The child backed away from the hunters in pure fear. They tried to put as much distance away from the hunters yet their attempt to do so was proven futile when they felt their back make contact with a rock hard surface. Their trembling eyes met the hateful gaze that belonged to the people who are about to bring an end to their life.

"Nowhere to run, kiddo. Unless 'ya wanna let the monsters outside the safe zone deal with 'ya instead, I don't mind watchin' them tear you apart." The one who led the group of hunters intimidated the child. He got off of his horse and began to take slow steps towards them. He unsheathed the sword from his belt and pointed it towards their head, the blade shone in the moonlight.

The child's grip on their bleeding shoulder tightened as their heart started to beat louder in their chest. Their leg that was pierced by an arrow during the whole chase had blood trickling down onto the grass, staining what was once full of life with impending death. 

They closed their eyes tight, choosing to accept the fact that this was the end.

As they prepared themselves for their impending doom, that's when they felt it.

Before they knew it, a surge of power began to overwhelm their small and fragile child body. It was painful for the child because they unexpectedly began to kneel over as they grasped their head in pain. The hunters were disturbed by this revelation and were even more confused when the child began to let out screams of pain and torture. 

The child's teeth began to grow sharper until it resembled a pair of fangs. Horns started to sprout out of their head, it's shape deformed and looked like the horns of a demon. Their eyes gazed upon the moon in the midst of their transformation. Eyes that transformed into a dark and bloody red and sclera turning pitch black widened upon realizing that it was a Lunar Eclipse that shone down that fateful night.

The leader of the hunters set his gaze back on the child who had their head down and knees to the ground. With determination, he rushed forward with his blade that shone in the moonlight and aimed to slice their head off. His blade was inches away from the child's neck before realizing that this was not the frightful child he had been chasing this whole time.

Oh he made a grave mistake indeed.. for they were no longer a human child with a target plastered on their back.

This.. was a beast driven by anger and grief.
