Learning to promote my music video on social media (Instagram and Twitter)
Hello everyone, Welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be discussing how I started promoting my music video on social media (Instagram and Twitter) and what challenges I went through. Without any wait let us dive into it.
I have used social media for many years such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and many more. I found this exercise very simple and easy as I had to promote my posts to the audience. I have always seen celebrities posting their content on social media and that gave me an idea of how to reach a mass audience.
When I started posting and promoting my content to the audience, my posts were very bland and they were no information provided. I did not know how to edit my pictures and this was a major impact on publishing my content on both Twitter and Instagram. They were only pictures that made no sense and this could potentially reduce the reach of my post.
My teacher suggested I edit the pictures and try making them creative as this will attract the audience and improve awareness. I started learning to edit pictures on YouTube as I mentioned in my earlier blog. This made my pictures 10 times better than it was. I was super satisfied that I learned such a powerful tool and I am creating pictures that I knew I would create.
Now that I learned how to edit the pictures, it was time to post it. I started researching Indian celebrities on how they posted their content and how they spread awareness and I started to implement it with writings on the post and brief wording on the caption. I have tried to implement it and I am very satisfied with how it came out. It is my first time promoting a music video on Instagram and I already love it because it is interesting and appealing to look.
The link to my Instagram and Twitter pages is down below. Please do like and follow for more content on my music video.
Thank you so much for reading my blog and I will catch you in the next one. :)

I finally made a Digi Pack
Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be talking about how I made my Digi pack.
This was the toughest of all. I did not know what was a Digi pack and how to create one. My teacher showed me some mock-ups of what it looks like and she showed me a couple of music albums which gave me an idea.
I first made a template, where I drew the picture on paper, and trust me, my teacher laughed at me because I drew a stick man. I had an idea and now I had to implement it.
My teacher suggested using adobe photoshop and I downloaded it and I started to learn and understand how to use these tools. I was completely lost and I had no template to start it off. After researching the template, I went on YouTube to learn how to Photoshop a Digi Pack as I was new to the software and I saw this 40 mins video which saved me so much time and it was very effective. The link is below.
youtube
He taught me step-by-step how to create a Digi pack for beginners and it was super helpful I am glad that I saw this video because I would waste so many hours figuring out how to do it. I will show my final look at the Final Product blog post soon.
Thank you so much for reading my blog post and I will see you in the next one. :)

Learning the editing software!
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be talking about how I started editing my music video and the struggles I went through. Without any delay, let's dive in.
I have wanted to learn editing for such a long time because I thought it would be handy for future needs, it is a great tool to learn. My teacher suggested me some editing software to do for my music video such as; Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premier Pro, Final cut pro, and many more. I was unaware of how to use such apps because I have never done editing before.
My teacher suggested I get a free version of Davinci Resolve 18, it is straightforward to use. One fine day, after finishing an ecstatic production shoot, I was ready to edit my music video. I wanted to learn the software and so I went to YouTube to learn the basic tools to edit a video. While learning and implementing it, My laptop could not support the file, I was in great shock and I quickly installed it on a laptop and it was working well but it was lagging very much. I spent 9 and a half hours that day just understanding the tools for Davinci Resolve 18 and not getting lag. Soon when I thought everything was going smoothly, I faced another problem which was that my video had a media error. I did not understand what it means. My mind was heating up really badly and I started to panic about how to fix this. After hours of researching to fix the problem, It started working better but with a really bad lag. I got frustrated and I asked my friends if I could borrow their laptop for a day and finish my editing.
The next day, I went to my good friend of mine named Brahadeshwar. He helped me to use his laptop, and he was aware of the story and the song that was editing which made it easier for me to edit since I learned the tools on Davinci Resolve 18, and it was easier for me to finish the work quicker. I was super lucky that I got a laptop that works perfectly and with the amazing support that I got from my friend. I finished the editing and the video was even better than I thought. I and my friend were blown away by the video and we could not be even happier.
I am grateful that I learned a very important tool which is editing and I am super pleased with my work, Cannot wait to show you my final product. Thank you all for reading my blog and I will see you in the next one.

Ditching my storyboard?
Hi all, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be talking about why I ditched my storyboard during my production. Without any delay let us dive into it.
I had a clear idea and plan before shooting my music video. I came super prepared and I had already come up with how the video was going to be. Which made it super easy and according to my plan. Soon, my cameraman took additional shots to my production which were the the going to gym, coming out of the gym, and even the sun video. Which made the story even more attractive than it looks. Those shots were really meaningful but I did not know where to locate the shots because I had already made a plan and I did not want to change it at all.
During my editing work, I wanted to use the storyboard that I created and I wanted to follow it accordingly. My friend who helped me with the editing told me some great ideas to locate some shots and made a huge impact on my music video. He was very familiar with the song and he suggested locating some shots in a specific area. It came up very well and then I decided to not go as how I planned because it was better than I expected to be.
My final product will be out soon and I cannot wait to show you my music video, hope you all like it. Thank you for reading my blog and I will see you in the next one. :)

My Production Problems during the process
Hello everyone, welcome back my blog and today I will be talking about my production problems that I faced during my music video.
My production Process has a lot of challenges and problems involved in my music video. There were problems both technical and conceptual which made things a lot harder for me to cope with my work.
Choosing my coursework- The first problem I had was the song I was going to choose. I first thought of doing a documentary which I had no clue about. I did not know how to shoot a documentary. My teacher suggested I do it as she was very familiar with it and she said it will be fun. I researched about it and I soon knew it was not for me as I had zero knowledge about the coursework. My next option was a music video and once I saw that, the first thing strikes to me was the KSI song called "Not Over Yet". I heard the song many times and I automatically got a story behind it which made it easier for me to start working on my project.
Actors- I was looking for an actor to shoot my film. I wanted to shoot my movie and have an actor perform such a diverse role. Soon, I could not find the perfect one as everyone was busy and they did not suit the role. y time was running out and I requested my teacher if I could act and ask my friends to shoot the video. She agreed and wanted me to act. I was excited to act in this story and I knew the role really well which made it easier and more efficient.
Costumes- I did not use as many costumes in my music video and I had limited clothes to wear for my shoot. It was fine initially as the costumes did not really mean much to me but it soon hit hard when my plan was coming together. I used the sports clothes that were available in my closet and I managed it very well using those.
Time-consuming- My friends were good at taking shots as they made several shots that were not told but still made sense. They took a variety of shots and this made my final product look even better. However, I spent way too much time on getting the best shot and I should have planned better as the natural lighting did not do its job. I had to wait for the perfect shot to come so it will be appealing for the audience to view my final product.
Finally, editing. I wasted one entire day of editing because my laptop did not support my editing software and this was a huge problem in my coursework. I was so happy that my production went as planned and I did not want this to happen. I called my friends to see if I could use their desktops for my coursework. Luckily there was a friend of mine who helped me use their desktop and helped me with the edits. He was very familiar with my song and my story and gave me ideas to place my work accordingly. This was very helpful because he was super patient and he was aware that the final product would be a banger. This was my first time editing my music video and it was fun as I learnt a lot of the software and I was very please how my work was forming.
Thank you all for reading my blog, My problems were very hectic but somehow I managed to produce a music video that I will show to you all. I cannot wait to show it to you guys. Anyways, take care and I will see you at the next one. :)

Sounds for my Music Video
Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today I will be talking about the most important element in making a Music video which is sound. Let us dive into it.
What is sound in media studies?
Sound is the most important technique in making a film or music video. It enhances the mood, tone, and atmosphere of the product. The sound design includes sound effects or SFX sound design, mixing, dialogues, and music or soundtrack. Sound design is the final and most important element needed to create an experience for the audience to witness or view.
The techniques for sounds are;
Diegetic Sound
Non Diegetic sound
Parallel Sound
Contrapuntal
Non-simultaneous
Synchronous
Asynchronous
Sound-Bridge
Voice -over
If you want to learn more about sound, check the video down below.
youtube
My production is a music video. The song name is Not Over Yet by KSI featuring Tom Grennan. I will be using this song as my soundtrack for my production and creating a story out of this. Since the sound is a lively and fast pace track, my shots will be appealing to the audience.
I hope you liked my blog and I will catch you in the next one

Editing for my upcoming music video
Welcome, all back to my blog. I will be talking about the edits that are going to be taken for my music video. Let's dive into the nitty-gritty of editing.
What is editing?
Editing is cutting and assembling parts of the shots taken into a film. Editing takes place at the end of the production as it forms various shots into one. Film editors arrange raw footage of the shots taken to create more shots and scene. They work with the directors and producers to make the final product. Good editing makes editing invisible
The techniques for editing are down below;
Cut
Shot Reverse Shot
Eye Line Match
Graphic Match
Action Match
Jump Cut
Cross Cutting | Parallel Editing
Cut-Away | Insert
Transition
Dissolve
Fade In Fade Out
Wiped
Superimposition
Zoom in/ Zoom out | Scale up / Scale down
To understand better on editing check the link down below.
youtube
For my final product, I will be using transitions of shots to make it as if a single shot was taken. I will make fast cuts as it is a motivational video of the actor making a comeback and this makes the audience attracted to the video. I will be showcasing some action match edits, which will make the shots more lively and appealing for the audience to view, and many more. My only aim in this video is to make my edits invisible.
Thank you all for reading my blog and I will see you in the next one. :)

Mise-en-scène for my music video!!!
Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be talking about the Mise-en-scène elements that I will be using for my production.
Well lets first understand what is Mise-en-scène?
Mise-en-scène means "putting on the stage" in French. This includes everything that is in front of the camera to show the audience the overall effect of the film/ scene. There are different types of Mise-en-scène which are;
Sets
Props
Lighting
Costumes
Actor blocking
Shot composition
To understand much better in detail of Mise en scene, click the video down below.
youtube
For my coursework, I have put up lots of Mise en Scène such as different lighting for different shots taken and the required props needed to give an essence to the shots. It brings in the meaning of the shots and gives an overall effect of the entire music video for the audience to watch. I have a variety of costumes that are needed and the background of the shots to give a clear understanding and better overall look of the video.
I cannot wait to show you my final product. I am on the edge of my seat because I am really excited. I hope you guys enjoy my music video because trust me it is a banger!!! Thank you all for reading my blog and I will see you next time. :)

Camera Angles, Shots, and Movements for my Music Video!!!!
Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today I will discuss the camera shots, angles, and movements. First, let us understand in detail what is all these.
Camera angles are taken to create meaning and to dictate where the camera should be located to the subject that has been taken. Camera angles in filmmaking are used to help enhance the narrative, the theme, and the overall mood of the film. In filmmaking, there are various types of camera angles that can assist you in pushing forth your intended narrative goal for your film, everything from essential to advanced camera shots. For example;
High-angle shot
Low-angle shot
Medium shot (eye-level shot)
Dutch (canted) angle shot
Overhead (god’s-eye or bird’s-eye) shot
Eye-level shots
Sitting-level shots
Knee-level shots
Ground-level shot
To understand better of camera angles, you check the link down below.
youtube
Moving on, Camera shots.
What are camera shots? A camera shot is a collection of frames taken from the start of the shot till the end. This is could be called clips. A series/ collection of shots are called a scene. Examples of different types of shots are;
Extreme Wide Shot
Long Shot / Wide Shot
Full Shot
Medium Long Shot / Medium Wide Shot
Cowboy Shot
Medium Shot
Medium Close Up
Close Up
Extreme Close-Up

youtube
Finally, Camera Movements. What are camera Movements?
Camera Movement is one the most useful tools in making films as it tells the audience the story of the shots taken. It changes the way the audience views the shots without cutting and brings in a more appealing way.
Examples for camera Movements are;
Static / Fixed Shot
Dolly Shot
Zoom Shot
Dolly Zoom Shot
Pan Shot
Tilt Shot
Whip Pan Shot
Whip Tilt Shot
Tracking Shot
Crab Shot
Arc Shot
youtube
Now that we know what is camera angles, shots, and movements. I will be telling now what I will be doing for my Music Video. First, for camera angles, I have done various angles like low angle, high angle, over-the-shoulder, and many more. As I want to make the story very engaging for the audience to view and this brings true colors to my music video. Secondly, for camera shots, I have also done a variety of different shots like close-up, medium shots, and full shots to show my body language in the video. I have mostly done close up and medium shots because the song and the reactions accordingly are very important and I wanted to prioritize it as much as possible. Furthermore, for camera movements, I will be doing static shots, pan shots, zooming in and out shots, and arc shot. This is the main element in my music as this will create and enhance my music video to be attractive and entertaining.
Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you learned the different types of camera techniques and I cannot wait to show you my final product, trust me it is a banger! Nevertheless, I will see you at the next one. :)

Inspiration for my song
Where did I get inspiration from?
I love motivational music and which hypes me up in things I do such as studying, working out, etc. It gives me a positive vibe which I love so much because I love getting positive energy and giving it out to people. I love watching Sidemen's YouTube channel and one of the people in sidemen named KSI, also known as JJ Olatunji, made a song called "Not over yet". I first listened to it and I was completely dazzled by how good the song was. I kept listening to the song as the words were so strong and heartful, I could relate to myself. My A-level Media studies coursework asked me to do a music video, the first time that I wanted to do this song and relate myself to the song. I am so happy that my teacher approved this song that I wanted and I cannot wait to show all of you guys my new music video because I know this is going to amazing and meaningful.
Thank you all for the reading blog, I cannot wait to show you guys my final product. I will see you at the next one. :)

My StoryBoard
Hello everyone, Welcome back to my A-level Media Studies blog page. Today, I will discuss the storyboard I created for my A-level Music Video.
The song I wanted to do for my music video is called "Not Over Yet" By KSI and Tom Grennan. Why did I want to do this song? I wanted to do a motivational music video because I like positive things as It lifts me and I want to spread positive vibes everywhere to everyone.
The story goes like he fails his exam and gives up on himself but then he wanted to give a last attempt to be successful in himself both physically and mentally and he pushes himself and we show the character the struggles he goes through in order to succeed.
I do not want to spoil the entire story as I think this is going to be the first and best music video I am doing and I like the way things are forming together. I have chosen a song that relates to my story and I can not wait for my production to start this banger music video.
I can not draw at all. So I decided to draw a stick man as the character to keep my drawing and my story simple as possible and I did not want to spend so much time on drawing my storyboard as my ideas were flowing throughout the song. Down below is just a template of my storyboard.

The script for the storyboard is down below. please check it out.
Thank you so much for reading my blog. I will see you at the next one!

How I started for my Coursework
First, for coursework, I started a documentary as my teacher was very confident that she could help as she was a journalist and so I started with what is a documentary. She suggested me a Netflix show called "Our planet" and started watching the show to get an idea and understanding of what it is so that I can produce my coursework in the best way possible.
After many days passed by, I started to doubt myself if I could do this documentary. I watch a group of YouTubers called "Sidemen" in that one guy (KSI - JJ) made a music video called. "Not over yet". This gave me such a wonderful idea, I could do something related to motivational music and that was the first thing that hit me well. Why I wanted to do a motivational video because I love watching videos that inspire me and I wanna do the same thing which inspires other people to not give up on themselves and try working until they succeed. Giving their all to what they are doing and never thinking negative about them. Now I am here sitting and typing out my journey. Thank you so much for reading my blog. I will see you at the next one!:)

Introduction
Hello everyone, My name is Rishaub Srinivasan. I am studying in grade 12 in a school called Beyond 8. My hobbies and interests are playing sports such as cricket and football, I love going to the gym. I also love watching F1. I love watching movies and TV shows and this is where I found a passion for Media Studies.
Media Studies have two components: theory and coursework. For my coursework, I am doing a music video about fitness. My music video is a story of a man who does not give up on his abilities and keeps training. He does not see results in the beginning but soon by putting in all the efforts, he accomplishes his goals. The moral of the story is to fight for everything you have and give your best in everything you do.
