On haitus now but for the past year I've been recording series on Instagram called #16to100realquick. It's a series where I write an original rap to each of @complex magazines 100 greatest hip-hop beats of all time. I started doing it as a way to pass the time and stay in practice when I was in Florida looking after my mom last year. It was perfect for me because I'm such a snob so of course it only felt worth my time if I was writing to "he greatest beats of all time." As of now I've done just about 40 of them and I'm really proud of these raps. I really pushed myself to not just write a rap, but really dig deep and respond to the unique challenge each beat offered, and I think many of these raps are witty, funny, personal, and layered.
