In a study by the Economic Policy Institute, it was found the violation of labor laws and rolling back child labor laws have been on the rise in recent years in 10 states. The FSLA was passed because it was common for children to die working at dangerous jobs. Packers Sanitation Services, Inc. (PSSI) is a regular offender. They are a sanitation company that works in slaughter houses in 8 states in name brand factories like Tysons chicken. Kids from 13 to 17 worked in dangerous conditions. Some children were burned by toxic chemicals.

Fascism is Big Government
Republicans have always said they want small government and that government should stay out of people's lives. I go over all the ways they are using big government for the most extreme and personal control.
Liberals use big government for things like the 1965 Voting Rights Act, or the Pollution Prevention Act, or the Consumer Financial Protection Act. The programs liberals use big government for all defend the people from the government and corporations. It’s the reason why we have federal labor laws and banking regulations. Removing banking regulations is what led to our last depression. These are the “intrusions” Republicans complain about.
The right-wing uses big government in a very different way. They do everything they can to reverse or defang policies above. An example is when Trump tried to repeal Obamacare. His base was very unpleasantly surprised that Obamacare is actually the Affordability Care Act (ACA). These policies made healthcare accessible for many impoverished Trump fans who raised hell to prevent it from being repealed. That’s only one way they use big government.

What is A Rebel?
I completely misunderstood what a rebel was and what is at the core of the concept. A rebel is not simply someone who refuses to follow rules. ‘Doing your own thing’ doesn’t make you a rebel. A rebel is a threat to power. I was pissed off at the world. Nothing was fair, everyone was poor, and everyone was running from some sort of suffering. A small number of men somewhere are deciding the fate of commoners like me. I was disillusioned, I was high, I was mentally ill and self-medicating with immediate satisfaction and thrills. It never occurred to me what type of impact I had on the world....

Hey, everyone. Here are a few words on the push to put Christianity back in schools. I used to be a teacher, and I'm an atheist, so this is something I care about.
I think I'll start shooting short videos like this more often. Let me know if you like them.

A Closer Look at Deportations
Racism allows people to lump all Venezuelans together as criminals because they lived here illegally. The act of coming to America without permission itself has been turned into the mark of a degenerate. This is complete nonsense, because America has always had people immigrating without permission, and that alone does not make you a bad person. Crossing the border without permission is a misdemeanor. Most importantly, it’s been proven through many studies that immigrants on average commit less crimes than US born citizens. Yes, that includes undocumented people, especially them because they don’t want the law’s attention. The Trump admin knows this because they have removed all research on the topic from government websites. One of many types of research that has been erased...

The Burden of Proof
Our problem is not just that we have bias or bipartisanship. Our problem is we have a weak educational system and a culture that doesn’t value critical thinking. In a world of extreme individualism, we often encouraged to decide for ourselves what is true. This often means denying reality. Whether it be religious beliefs, spiritual beliefs, social or political, we value championing our opinion over object fact. Our culture doesn’t just lack critical thinking but can often be hostile to it. Smart kids in school are bullied, critical analysis is a social annoyance, education is seen as dull and useless. Even worse, conservatives have always been against education, objective truth, accountability, and criticism of values and systems.

Never Again!
People in concentration camps and ghettos were starved, beaten, raped, experimented on, enslaved and worked to death, literally. Large groups were put in front of firing squads, into giant ovens, and gas chambers to kill them as quickly as possible. Bodies were stacked between wooden boards to create large pyres. Mass graves were dug with body upon body piled in trench sized holes. These people were dragged from their homes as neighbors and the entire world watched the progression of imprisonment and “deportation” to mass murder. It would have been easy to stop in the beginning, but everyone turned their head...

Uber Screws its Workers
I am a full time Uber driver. For many personal reasons, this a perfect fit for me. I enjoy the job. I get to cruise around listening to music and talk to lots of different people. The flexibility of being an independent contractor is unmatched. I have complete control over when and how much I work. These are great things, and as a model is a great addition to the gig-based economy America has been developing. Unfortunately, Uber is also a perfect example of the economic and power imbalance in our society.

That’s what this is all about. Racism is an ugly word attached to an ocean of sin and debauchery. It’s very difficult to get young people to accept racism when its history is laid out in an honest and accurate way. They see our diversity, equity, and inclusion and are terrified that white supremacy won’t last the future generations. That’s why they have to ban books, erase information from websites, or order the end of teaching the truth. They see how much we’ve come together, leaving them to be a philosophical minority, and they are not used to that. I believe Trump is the violent backlash to realizing they won’t rule over everything anymore. It sad and despicable.

Here I am at my local Hands Off protest, yesterday! I hope you got out there and participated! Millions of people came out around the country and even in foreign nations. This is what democracy looks like.

America is in the worst state it has ever been in. I say this not because our tragedies of the past are less than the present. I say this because we’re burning down all the progress we’ve made over 249 years to repent for those tragedies. We have more knowledge about history, philosophy, nature, and economics than ever before and we are allowing it to be completely ignored because of the greed of a small few and the hate of a radical set of the population. I say that if we lose our democracy, no matter what our name becomes, we are not America. I believe that we must do everything possible to hold on to our nation and cannot sit by and passively complain that we’re being taken over....
