An assignment done for my Fundamentals of Design class, the topic was Retro-Futurism, an design aesthetic based on ideas of what people in early half of the century believed the future would look like in well…2000 and beyond.
I decided to take an already existing sci-fi franchise and remake it in this style, I went with Mass Effect.
For the first one, I made a sci-fi pulp fiction magazine cover with FemShep, using an illustration by Walter M. Baumhofer as the reference found here. As you can see I traded in the sophisticated space armor for a skin-tight space suit and fish-bowl helmet.
The second one is a RetFut EDI whose design is influenced by the Maria Robot from Metropolis next to a very retro looking Normandy Rocket. The whole composition is supposed to look like an Alliance recruitment poster.
Hope you enjoy!

Alright, so this is possibly the best or worst cross-over EVER. I present to you, Bikini Bottom's Jaeger, THE HASH-SLINGING SLASHER.
By the way, the Seashell Bra shoots missiles a la Stiker Eureka.
Oh geez what have I done...I was supposed to be working on a self-portrait for school...

Just some anatomy study, got into some of the latest chapters of Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou and I remembered a set of muscular female anatomy references from http://fucktonofanatomyreferences.tumblr.com/post/74869352970/muscular-women-references-oo-la-la and decided to apply some of the poses and anatomy to some of the girls.
For those of you that don't know, Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou is a manga about a guy who lives with several different monster girls due to an exchange program of sorts. While it has its share of ecchi, it's a very cute story with an interesting take on the various monsters and other fantasy creatures.
The pictures shown above are my take on 3 of the girls, giving them more muscular bodies. Why give them more muscular bodies? Because they are part animal, they stay naturally fit and athletic, so why not give them a body to match that natural athleticism?
Top right is a centaur named Centorea, she was a warm-up so I didn't really go too far into detail with her figure which is a shame since centaurs in this story are like chivalrous knights, and she is no exception, she's the strongest of the group, fights with a sword, and on occasion dons a suit of armor. I'll certainly come back to her when I find a picture that I feel better represents her muscular structure.
Bottom left was when I really got into it, that is the back of a mermaid named Meroune, she's a swimmer, so naturally I think she should be quite fit in terms of upper body strength
Last on the bottom right is Polt, a Kobold from Chapter 17, she's a personal trainer at a local monster/human gym and also has some wolf-like features, so I believed should would be very fit, having plenty of muscle to show off.
The first panel is the clean version and on the second I have the guidelines underneath.
