"I don't like cops because they're bad at their jobs but also due process sucks" and "I don't kill but will beat the absolute tar out of you and leave you to the mercies of the American healthcare system" are absolutely terrifying manifestos actually. At least with Jason it's very simple: "you rape, I kill, you kill, I kill, you stop subscribing to my racketeering system, I kill, no Idc about morals, morals your Mom." You can be a violent loose cannon, but only if you give up your sanctimonious bitch rights.

Oh and also to stop abusing and neglecting his children. If you can't balance having a family and a career then stop adopting them.

How about Jason’s memory is crystal fucking clear actually. Every moment of Bruce’s kindness, pride, and consternation he’s bottled like a time capsule. His recollection of his Robin days are vivid as if they only happened yesterday, actually. Accurate down to what he ate for lunch and which suit Alfred was wearing. It’s everyone else whose memories are choked by a miasma of guilt and fear. Bruce gutted the manor of Jason’s belongings as soon as he died while Jason still hangs onto their photos and the goddamn tire. What did you expect.

I am so thoroughly uninterested in exploring Jason ~killing the wrong person~ discourse. I have never seen discourse about non-lethal heroes or vigilantes apprehending - beating the shit out of - the wrong person, so why does it all of a sudden matter when lethal heroes and vigilantes are in the mix?!

If you aren’t also willing to explore the Bats being the shit out of and throwing the wrong person in jail, then fuck off. Drawing the line at killing someone when aggravated assault, breaking and entering, privacy violations so severe it would make a CIA agent blush, interrogating people under duress, making a mockery of due process*, et al is still on the table is silly.

*I rly hope I don't need to explain to you all that ILLEGAL VIGILANTES (because, in case we forgot, vigilantism is ILLEGAL) operating as an unregulated arm of the criminal justice system violates due process (the shit Batman is always going on and on about).
