Question to the disabled community that uses Canes as mobility aid, what are important factors to consider when writing ? Especially realistic problems that canes can provide?

Such as upkeep/repairs, replacement of the rubber part of the cane (the foot thing), wrist comfort and adjustment period when first using a cane? Any help would be appreciated! I would also love more information and input, as someone who is interested in writing a character who has to difficulties walking for long periods of time/standing for too long due to their Spine being injured after a car crash/needed a high tech implant.

I refuse to believe that just because an implant is high tech and give the character the ability to not be restricted in movement, that they don’t experience difficulties in everyday life (I hate the “disability gets fixed by ___” trope, representation is important)

DC writing is the bane of my existence sometimes, wdym they are shipping Batman with most of his exe’s BUT not Ghost Maker? Who basically had the most charged “Bromance” in existence during Bruce’s travel around the world. THEY HAD A DRAMATIC BREAK UP IN THE RAIN !! Literally, why is DC ignoring him as if we are stuck in the 60s hiding away, when we can have toxic bromance in this day and age. SMH
