The conditions in Israeli prisons have intensified and men, women, children and elderly people are subjected to starvation and torture. 14 Palestinian captives have in fact died in Israeli prisons since October 7, which is an alarming and unprecedented escalation to the already dire humanitarian crisis taking place in Israeli torture chambers.

Thinking about Merry and Pippin buried next to Aragorn.

Thinking about Eomer who called for Merry at the end of his life, to see him one more time before he passed away.

Thinking about Sam who, after Rosie passed away, left Middle Earth to see Frodo one more time before his own death.

Thinking about Legolas and Aragorn singing for Boromir, Merry and Pippin who owe their lives to him praising his deeds and bravery.

Thinking about Gimli, who walked the Path of the Dead out of love of Aragorn and visited Fangorn forest out of love of Legolas.

Thinking about Gandalf, who feels responsible for the heavy burden he placed on Bilbo and Frodo, and who took them with him to Aman, traveling with them one last time to bring them somewhere where they will finally know peace.

scott was dead. for fifteen minutes. no pulse, no breath. empty lungs and a still heart. scott mccall literally gave his life, sacrificed every bit of himself trying to do the right thing. he let his own beta almost tear him to pieces rather than do more harm to the kid he feels responsible for. scott’s one downfall has only ever been his bitter refusal to give up, his stubborn will to keep fighting, not even for himself but for the sake of everyone else.

My dad was dealing with some mixed feelings so I told him "In therapy when something is too complicated to do a simple 'pro and contra list' we sometimes do an excercise where you imagine all these mixed feelings around a table in some kind of conference, letting each tell their bit and you leading the debate."

and my dad didn't really respond and just stared ahead so I kept preparing lunch. Until a few minutes later when he suddenly piped up: "I am having a bad time at the conference"

True story:

I started saying rawdog, however I was using rawdog in the sense of “I’m just going to do it.” I know what rawdog actually means, all of my friends know what rawdog actually means, so it was funny to see their faces when I would say “I’m going to rawdog this burrito.” Or “I’m just gonna rawdog this test.”

However, my father does not know the real meaning of rawdog. The issue was I forgot to filter myself around him, and my father with his undiagnosed ADHD picked up on it. I got a text from my brother in law telling me that my dad had started to say that he was going to “rawdog things”
