Excuse the uncreative title please, and enjoy.
It was hot.
The oven had been running since the early morning, long before the sun had even thought about rising, and you and your family had worked nonstop all the time. You had prepared masses of dough during the last days, and now you were forming pastries of all sorts in enormous quantities, practically shoveling them in and out of the steaming oven, the air in the small backroom of your bakery heavy and steaming from the immense heat. And also filled with the delicious scent of freshly baked goods.
The temperature would probably be twice as high as outside, if it was not for two little windows desperately trying to provide some kind of cooling airflow - and even that “cool” air was that of a bright summer day in the fire nation. But it was not just any day, especially in the fire nation’s capital: today, a week of festivities would commence to celebrate the birthday of Ozai, the Fire Lord. The whole city was decorated, public places and private homes alike, shops and vendors put on their finest wares on display, the city guard donned their parade wear and masses of people were expected to celebrate yet another year of life for your benevolent and just leader.
Your family’s business, a bakery located at a rather central marketplace, of course did their best too. You prepared all kinds of pastries in the shapes of flames and crowns, hoping that the countless celebrants in the city would not only be hungry for the sight of the Fire Lord but also for your food.
Needless to say, even though the day had only just started for most people and the sunlight just now crept about the first rooftops of the city, you already were absolutely done. Luckily, since your bakery would open now, your job would change from toiling in the hellish heat of the oven to tending to the customers who were going to - hopefully - visit your shop. Your parents were considerate enough to not let you suffer a heatstroke, after all, and took it on themselves to continue baking.
So, to prepare yourself, you washed yourself quickly, not wanting to present yourself to the customers in the sweaty, messy state baking in intense heat for about five hours straight had left you in. After that was done, you quickly went to the shop area in front of the building, already carrying some baskets of breads, and opened the wooden shutters, creating an invitingly open shopfront. You then quickly put as many pastries and breads on display as the shelves and counters could fit, prepared some money for change and awaited your first customers with a slightly tired but friendly smile.
A few hours passed, and quite a few people had visited your bakery, the shelves constantly having to be restocked. You probably made as much money today as in a month normally. But around midday, with the festivities slowly reaching their climax, something happened.
All of the sudden, guards entered the bakery and ordered all customers to leave. You were nervous, as you had no idea what this meant. It quickly became clear though as just a few moments after the last customer had left, SHE stepped inside.
She, who had it in her power to have cleared any and every shop she wanted to visit by the city guard, who would not be seen in the same room as lowly peasant customers, who made even your humble bakery seem like a royal dwelling simply due to her presence.
Azula, Princess of the Fire Nation.
All the heat your oven could emit was nothing in comparison to what warmth washed over you when you saw her.
Did… did the Princess Azula want to try your pastries?? You felt nervousness and awe rise inside you as you realised that the verdict of Azula, whether your pastries were to her liking or not, may very well decide the fate of your bakery. And the fate of your neck, maybe. You swallowed.
You were frozen in place as Azula sauntered around the shop, inspecting the anniversary pastries, a confident smirk on her impeccable face. Wait, what? You were supposed to be afraid!
Anyways, her percing eyes suddenly landed on you, and your mouth went dry.
“Give me one of these.”
Her slender finger pointed at one of your small flame-shaped breads.
Your hands began moving without you giving a second thought. It was as if her voice directly commanded your actions without taking the detour through your brain. You had never heard such an unwaveringly commanding voice, neither such a beautiful one. It sent shivers down your spine.
You held one of the small breads out to her over the counter with both hands, noticing, to your relief, that your hands were not trembling and that the piece you had picked in a haze was luckily a rather good one. She reached out and took the bread from your hand with a kind of firm elegance you had never witnessed before.
With an almost cruel smirk, she lifted it to her mouth, keeping her eyes on you, and took a bite. She munched, and then… her expression changed. Her face went from a look of superiourity to one of surprise, and then discontent. But the discontent was not directed at your pastry, no, but at the circumstance that she was not - like she had hoped - able to criticise it. In disbelief, she took another small bite, her gaze flickering from you to the bread in her hand and back, and then, a look one only rarely got to see on her entered her face: one of genuine appreciation.
She put the unfinished pastry down on the counter, and then, without giving you another look, turned around and stated, the order unmissable: “I want this one in the palace.”
With ‘this one’, she meant you, as she made clear by a quick but direct motion, pointing her thumb at you over her shoulder while she walked outside.
Only minutes after she had left, you and your parents found yourself in the company of a royal notary who was writing a document officially making you the new royal bakers, which included both living quarters and baking rooms inside the palace complex and a payment you could have only dreamt of before. All of you were too stunned to say anything, still not quite sure whether this was real or just a big joke or mistake.
Some days later, however, when you found yourself baking your first batch of bread in a spacious and well ventilated cellar beside the palace’s kitchen, you were very sure it was real.
The new oven and impeccable equipment you had been provided with in addition to your love for baking made it very easy to get lost in your work, so you did not notice at first when someone else stepped into the room. Only an audible, intentionally placed cough made you turn around in surprise, just to be met with the sight of Azula’s face. You immediately bowed.
“Your highness!”
A content smirk played at Azula’s lips at your reverence. “You may rise, baker. Are your parents not here?” She asked in an almost innocent tone, feigning surprise. Of course they were not here. She had waited until they were gone. “No, your highness… they are on their way to buy new flour.”, you responded nervously.
“Oh, what a shame. Well. Then I suppose we are all alone.” The last words she spoke in a tone you could not quite decipher. Your instincts told you to run but your heart… it throbbed heavily each time a word spoken in her voice reached your ears. “Yes… how may I help you, your highness?”
Azula’s eyes darted over to the oven. “What are you baking there?” You scrambled your thoughts together and replied: “Fire breads… those that you tasted during the Fire Lord’s birthday festivities.” “Aha”, came her fast answer, “How long until they are done?” She always got to the point fast. “About three minutes, your highness.”
“Perfect.” You expected her to say something else afterwards, but she really just stood there and waited for the breads to finish baking, not saying a word. For three minutes straight! The worst part, but also the most thrilling, was that she was looking you over the whole time, as if having to decide something in her head. As the time drew closer to its end, you silently excused yourself and went to look for the breads and take them out of the oven.
Azula approached behind you, taking in the scent of the warm, freshly baked pastries, and then promptly grabbed one. You froze, wanting to warn her because of the heat, but then remembered she was a firebender. But still, you couldn’t help but be astonished when she took a bite out of the still burning hot bread, nodding her head in recognition. As before, she seemed not to be too hungry and put the bread down after the second bite, her mind already having different priorities.
“So, y/n, show me how you make these.” You were too astonished she knew your name to notice how unusual it was for the Princess to ask about something so un-war-like as baking.
So you started to explain. You showed her where you made the dough, how you let it breathe, how you formed it, how you got the little flame shape, and explained how long and at which temperature you put it into the oven. Azula listened attentively, only speaking to ask questions that were strictly related to the topic. It was almost scary how seriously she seemed to take this. Then, after you were done, she nodded.
“Well, that does not sound too hard. Let’s bake some.”
This would have sounded outright arrogant from anyone else, and you would have laughed at most people saying this, since, as a baker, you knew the experience one had to have to get proper results. But from Azula… this kind of answer did not surprise you at all and the thought of doubting her abilities did not even occur.
Still, you were perplexed for a moment.
“You mean, bake them right now, your highness?”
“Of course, now don’t keep me waiting, y/n.”
You did not. You gathered dough that should have been breathing for long enough from the storage, brought it into the baking room, and before you even knew it, you were shaping little fire breads together with the princess of the Fire Nation.
Since you did not talk much while doing that, you had a little time to reflect over what you had felt during the last minutes, and it occurred to you that you may be one of the unluckiest but also luckiest persons in the whole nation, maybe the whole world. Unlucky, because feeling giddy in the way you did towards a princess, someone far, far out of your reach, was bad, and lucky because somehow the person out of your reach was still in a room with you - out of their own accord.
You stole a glance towards Azula, trying to secretly admire her beauty, which she of course noticed immediately. And instead of letting you get away with it, she asked, with a voice dripping with teasing innocence: “I get the impression you are quite impressed by my ability to form bread, are you not, y/n?” and then shot you a smile that you could have died for.
You contemplated jumping into the oven to escape this situation. But you had to be reasonable, so you answered: “Yes, your highness, um, your breads, eh, they look fantastic, yes, very tasty.” You cursed yourself. Maybe the oven was the best option, after all?
Azula simply chuckled. After you were done forming a few breads, the actual baking part came. Azula didn’t wait for you to light the oven but instead shot a ray of blue fire inside. She insisted she only did it so it would get hot faster, but she knew very well she did it to impress you, which obviously worked. She relished in the way of how full of admiration your gaze was.
Then, once you had put the breads into the oven, Azula began walking towards the door, as if to leave you alone. You were surprised, but when she reached the door, she turned around once more and said:
“Now, y/n, when these are done, you may deliver them to my quarters. Personally.”
She shot you a smirk and left, believing you would deliver almost anything to her, if you could. Of course, she was right.

Taking care - Azula x gn reader - part the second

Azula.
Here, in this place of sadness, where your whole life was contained by four cold stone walls and without sunlight, Azula was your world. And you were hers. Even though her restless mind was filled with plans to break free, to overthrow Zuko and become firelord, taking you with her, you doubted anything would change soon. The two of you were everything you had at the moment, and your love was all you could give eachother.
It had not taken a long time until you both had to admit that it was more than prison camaraderie or mutual suffering that connected you. Soon after Azula had become your cellmate, you spent the whole day in each other's arms as there was nothing else you could do here. Or rather, Azula spent the day in your arms - hers were bound by the straitjacket that so humiliatingly restricted her body.
It was a melancholic kind of love. You were happy you were together, yes, but you each wished for something better for the other, and for you together. You wanted to live together, in a place where you could go outside of your room just for once and where your skin would be touched by sunlight again. Azula wanted you to be by her side on the throne, finally paying you back for the injustice you and her suffered in this cold place. And you wanted Azula to have the happiness and the fulfilled youth that was robbed of her by her father. You wanted her to have her happy life - with you.
And yet everything you had was a cold, black cell. You still had each other, and you were grateful for that, but sometimes it seemed like your lives were already over. That you had lived through everything that was possible in this cell and that every coming day would just be a repetition, going on forever and ever, that you would watch eachother grow old, your bodies becoming weaker in eachothers arms every day, until one day one of you was so weak they wouldn’t wake up again, you never having experienced a real life together. It was a dreadful thought.
One thing you had rarely struggled with before in your life but that was tormenting you now was your muteness. You wanted to show Azula how much you loved her and you wanted to talk or communicate with her the whole day, but since you had nothing to write and not the means to teach Azula sign language all you could do was hug her even closer and gently kiss her cheeks or her bound hands. Sometimes, when the coldness of the stone took over the room and everything was silent, you cried because you knew that each passing moment you spent in this cell, unable to truly live and show what you mean to eachother, was one you were never going to get back.
This was your life full of love.
However, after a few months, something unexpected happened; Zuko, the new fire lord and Azula’s brother, visited. With the Avatar and his companions. You knelt beside Azula when the doors opened. Your hand held Azula’s bound hand tightly, as you were afraid of what the fire lord’s visit could mean for you. Zuko, followed by the others, entered your cell.
So these were the people that Azula had told you about - they fought against her, and through dishonesty and cunning brutality defeated and humiliated her, bringing her to this place. All of this was their fault!
You were surprised to feel, for the first time in ages, genuine anger flare up inside you. No matter how innocent or kind they looked, you would not be deceived. Azula had told you what they really were like. They, the Avatar and the ‘Fire Lord’, were the villains here. You noticed some eyes lingering on you and on the way you held Azula’s hand.
There was a deafening silence for a few long moments, until Zuko spoke: “Azula. I have come to assess the situation… your situation. I have informed myself about your behaviour here, and, apparently, in the last months your behaviour has improved significantly. As your brother, I have let myself be convinced by my friends…”, he says, meaning the Avatar and his companions, “... to give you another chance.”
Your eyes widened and you looked up to Azula. She did not bat an eye at what her brother said, holding her royal gaze up unwaveringly. She did not want to jump to early conclusions and miss her chance. She waited patiently - even bound to her chair and weakened from months of prison, she clearly held more power in this conversation than Zuko would have anticipated.
Zuko continued: “We have decided to let you out of this straitjacket. If your condition continues to become more stable, we will… we will let you out. If it doesn't, your life sentence will continue as planned.” Zuko, the Avatar and the others looked at Azula cautiously but at the same time waiting nervously for her answer.
Her voice found its way into your ears, letting a shiver run over your back. “That is so thoughtful of you, Zuzu. Looks like reason finally found its way to your head, fire lord.” Her voice was dripping in thick honey, but as sharp as a sword. The last two words were spoken in utter contempt, but only enough to make her opinion clear, not challenging Zuko. She was smart enough to see this was a chance - a chance for you and her to get out of here.
Zuko frowned, as did the Avatar, looking worried. They still, honourable as they were, would stand by their word and remove Azula’s straitjacket. Two prison guards removed it, and you were sad you had to let go of her hand for that. You watched in awe as you finally got to see Azula whole, wearing a simple fire red robe under the jacket. The aftermath of this form of imprisonment were clear; she could barely stand on herself. Of course you quickly rushed to her aid, holding her up. Again, curious and worried looks hit you, especially by the waterbender girl that accompanied the Avatar. She seemed to understand a bit better than the rest of them what was going on with you and Azula.
Azula clearly was not well and her body weak, but she had to show her old attitude to the visitors to not seem completely helpless. “Finally that tight jacket is off. About time.” She smirked at Zuko. “My dear brother, at the end of the year you visit again, you say? I promise to be on my best behaviour, okay, Zuzu?” Her tone was condescending and very obviously sarcastic. Still, it seemed honest enough, at least for Azula’s standards, to not let Zuko lose all hope in her becoming better.
Soon after, Zuko and the others left. The first moment you were alone you immediately hugged eachother, smiles you had not worn for a long time creeping to your faces as you finally, after such longing, could hold eachother in your arms - completely.
The next days and weeks were filled with relentless labour.
Azula had somehow convinced the prison governour to let her have paper and ink - she had told him she wanted to write her memoirs, and under the impression of Zuko’s benevolent attitude towards Azula, he had agreed.
Of course, the thing the writing material was not used for was writing memoirs; instead, a plan to escape was formed. And you finally could teach her sign language, which, for the first time since knowing her, enabled you to speak to her with actual words.
Azula was constantly working on and perfecting her grand escape plan, and, talented as she was, after a time you would have considered much too short she already understood almost everything you told her using sign language.
Of course, Azula began training again too to work against the effects of sitting in a straitjacket for months. She made you train along with her, which was, even though you could only barely keep up, probably for the better.
All in all, even though the walls did not become any less cold and the sun did not shine more into your cellar, the days went by quickly and some kind of anticipation, or even joy, found its way into your life.
Then the fateful day came. It was exactly a week before Zuko would - maybe - have let you out anyways, but Azula did not intend on letting h i m decide over her freedom. If she was to get out of the prison, she would do it herself. With you of course.
Despite your insistence, she had refused to let you know how exactly the plan was to unfold; probably because she knew you would have thought it was suicidal. But she had assured you that you would play a crucial part by… cutting a piece of wood from your bed? Well, it wasn’t really a bed. It was more of a wooden plank attached to the wall, so you managed to cut a piece from it with a little stone over the course of a few weeks, but you could not imagine what this could be useful for.
Anyways; the guards came to bring your food, just as every day. Since Azula had been let out of her straitjacket, there had always been a firebender accompanying the normal guards, just in case. Unbeknownst to the prison governour, that was actually of advantage to Azula.
You both stood there, completely calm, as the door opened. Then, Azula stepped forward, and took the first guard out with a few practiced moves. You were shocked, as were the other guards, but they quickly recovered and shouted an alarm. Then, the second guard attacked her, but was swiftly overcome by Azula, who seemed like all the months in prison had not affected her martial skill in any way. She was an impeccable fighter, and you were in awe.
After a few moments, the last guard standing was the firebender. And Azula stood there too, unmoving, in the middle of the door. The firebender was confused at her sudden inactivity, but then simply unleashed a ray of fire straight at Azula. She smirked, and in an instant evaded the fire while finishing the bender as well, and quickly calling for to you to get the wooden plank you had ‘worked on’ for the last weeks.
She turned around, and a wide smile of satisfaction came to her face. She had taken a risky gamble, but exactly what she had hoped for had happened: the guard had shot the fire in such a way that it had shattered the window behind her and all that was left was a smoldering pool of molten glass and iron.
“Quickly, y/n, put the plank there, or we’ll burn ourselves!”
You immediately understood. The window was open now, but the hot remains of the molten covering were impossible to climb through. Unless you covered them with wood. You admired the simplicity of the idea, then quickly put the plank there as a kind of flooring in the window, and already found yourself being pushed up by Azula, through the window. You squeezed yourself through the little opening and fell on the hot and rocky floor outside. When you turned around to help Azula, she already stood beside you.
“Come on, y/n, let’s get going. I know a quaint little spot in the mountains by a nice lake where we can live a bit more comfortably. And make a plan to overthrow Zuko and seize the throne, of course.”
Azula gave you a wicked but loving smile and then grabbed your hand, dragging you along to a walk that would lead you away from this prison, into a life of freedom, and, most importantly, a life with her. The same grin she had given you spread on your face too as you followed her and thought about how good and happy the life with her would be. And how you would overthrow Zuko and seize the throne, of course.

Hi! I liked the last one so much I thought I might just request, like, another one??
An Azula x gn reader again. So, Azula and reader are childhood friends, and reader is the exact opposite of her. They are kind, compassionate and believe in the good of people. And that belief is the only thing that kept reader from deserting Azula even when she turned more cruel over time; they hope that Azula will find her good side some time. Azula is very dependant on reader's friendship as it's one of the only ones she's got, and over time she has developed some more serious feelings, but she doesn't tell reader. However, at one point, probably after a battle, it's enough. Reader can't take Azula's cruelty anymore and, under tears, tell Azula how much they detest her cruelty and want her to change her ways and that they know she has good inside of her, because (drumroll) they have loved her for years but think they will have to leave her once and for all if she can't change. Of course, Azula is devastated. She is happy her feelings are mutual but still, there is drama because of reader's accusations and threat of leaving.
Again, a happy end would be phenomenal.
This is a long ask! I hope you like this one too!
Have a great time :))
hii I’m so glad you enjoyed the other one :)
I love this scenario I’ll totally write it❤️
Azula x gn! reader

How much you saw the good in people, even if they were a bad person. You know there must be a reason why they are the way they are. Ever since you were kids you, Ty lee, Mai Zuko and Azula were all friends. At first you noticed in the small cracks of Azula you saw her a bit mean towards the group. She pushed Ty lee when she did an amazing cartwheel instead of her. She almost set Mai on fire for Zuko to save her. You noticed but brushed them off because she wasn’t so bad. But she’ll get better you hoped.
You also noticed that she never was that mean to you. Sure she’ll give you attitude and make snarky comments at you but you definitely got special treatment among the others. You remember having that conversation with her when you were little.
“[Name], promise you’ll never leave my side? I feel that you’re the only one that understands me.” Azula grinned as she looked at her used to be innocent face.
Your little self smiled widely and nod. “I promise Azula I’ll never leave your side!”
So…you never left her side which meant you saw what she had done. When she tricked her uncle and her brother. Almost burning Ty lee alive and forcing her to join her team. Making Mai abandon her baby brother. Even more things which involved her trying to catch the Avatar. But you stood by it all still thinking “She’s going to be good.”
You even thought that when she burned down innocent peoples villages. You saw how miserable the nations had been because of her doings. Not only the nations but Mai and Ty lee were as well. You can tell by the looks of their eyes, they don’t want to do this. They were so scared to stand up to her. You wanted the Avatar to restore the peace between nations and maybe Azula would be better.
One day, at the boiling rock Mai betrayed Azula by saving Zuko. You watched whole scene unfold with Ty lee. Before the two were about to fight each other, Ty lee chi blocked Azula making her fall. Ty lee looked at you, “Come on [Name].” She stuck her hand out as you hesitated and looked at Azula at the floor . You called the guards over to take both Mai and Ty lee away. The two girl were shocked as you chose Azula over your freedom. You helped up Azula since she was still paralyzed. You looked at as she smiled at you. “I know you’ll pick the right choice” hee eyes were filled with love for you and you had it too. She made the guards take Mai and Ty lee away to be in prison.
You thought about how she was ready to kill Mai and make her two best friends rot in the cell. You and Azula come back from trying to catch Aang as it failed but in the process, Azula had hurt other people, you saw children hurt and crying. You saw their parents crying as well or they were deceased from her ordering the soldiers to get information from them and if they didn’t comply well…
Your head was pounding and your hands were shaking you don’t know what to do. You were holding back from crying. Azula still mad about Mai and Ty lee but having you by her side was everything she needed anyway. You two were back at the palace as you finally spoke up…
“Azula I-i can’t do this…” you muttered out. Azula turned to you.
“What?!” She shouts and confused.
“I can’t do this. I’m can’t be by your side. T-this is too much…” you looked down.
“What are you talking about your staying with me! You promised me you’ll always be by my side [Name]! Why are you doing this?! You’re going to be a traitor just like them huh?” Azula was angry you can tell but then stunned seeing you crying and glaring at her.
“I’m done Azula. I did promise but I saw the good in you. I thought everyday that you’ll change into a good person. But seeing you doing these horrific things… it’s awful but I still stayed because I loved you for years. I-I still love you but I can’t if you’re going to be like this. T-this is just cruel…I’m sorry if you can’t change…I don’t think I wanna be by your side ever again.” You saw her panting hard trying to take all this in. She couldn’t believe you loved her and she never noticed. She gritted her teeth about to attack you but she hesitated. Her love for you was too much to hurt you. She just mumbled “Get out! Get out!” You were stunned as she told you get out. You nod as you left. The woman you loved pushed you away you know she didn’t mean it but you needed to do what you said…you knew it was the right thing to do.
You were nearby where Azula’s coronation was being held you saw how horrible she looked. Her hair cut uneven and her makeup smeared a little. You couldn’t help feel guilty about you making her crazy. You then saw the fight with Zuko and Katara with Azula. You saw Azula getting defeated by Katara as you saw her balling as blue fire came out of her mouth. You couldn’t hold back anymore you ran fast to Azula as Zuko and Katara watched you. You hugged her. “Azula please…” you whispered into her ear as you felt her body all hot as she was surprised you were here.
“[N-name]…Please [Name] don’t leave me! I’ll change! I’ll change for you! I love you too! Please just don’t leave my side! I’m sorry” She said between sobs as she just cried harder and clung on to your clothing tight. She didn’t want you to let go. “I promise Azula I won’t leave you again. I’ll be there to help you.” You whisper as cupped the back of her head to make her let it all out. Azula then spoke into your shoulder. “I’ll be good. I have you. I love you [Name].” She said still sobbing. You pulled away for her a little still close as you cup her cheek. “I knew you would turn to be good. I love you too.”
and they lived happily ever after and Azula got her redemption and didn’t go to an insane asylum bc reader was there for her🤭
I hope you enjoyed this one. sorry making this a bit angsty😭 you also have a great day!! <33

Hi! How are you? I saw your requests are open and I couldn't let this chance pass.
So, I want to request an Azula x gn reader, where reader is originally on the Gaang's side, but in a fight against Azula and other fire nation people Azula gets wounded and gets unconscious. Reader sees her, but instead of taking her prisoner, they feel a strange kind of sympathy (✨️love on first sight✨️) for Azula and flee and hide with her. When Azula wakes up, things get a bit dramatic maybe but a happy ending would be nice.
I hope you like the request! Have a great day :)
hii im doing well ty for asking :)
this is so cute of course I’ll do it🩵
Azula x gn! reader

The Gaang was in your village as they were trying to hide from the Fire nation and their princess Azula. Obviously you didn’t like the Fire nation you couldn’t stand them one bit. So you helped the Avatar and the rest with their journey that they were going to set off. But before they could leave you saw the battleship coming to the village. Everyone had retreated and so did you. You watched the fight unfold seeing Aang and Azula going at it and occasionally Katara jumping in to save Aang. Toph and Sokka took care of the soldiers.
Eventually Aang did his air bending sending Azula a few yards as she hits a building making the rumble going down on her a bit. You saw she had a scrapes on her face and hands, she was clearly unconscious. The Gaang came up to you and gave you gratitude on taking great care of them. They got on the sky bison and flew away from view. Luckily your village seemed to not notice that the fire nations princess was still here and she was unconscious. Originally, you would take someone from the fire nation prisoner, but something in you screamed to help her. You went to the broken building seeing her laid out and senseless. You knew this was wrong and you’re practically helping the fire nation doing this. Without anyone looking, you picked up Azula and put her arm over your shoulder.
Moments later, you had taken her to your home where your father was on the shift of protecting the village from any Fire nation. Azula was sleeping on your bed meanwhile, you got your health supplies when she wakes up so you could heal her. While you were taking out the ointment you heard the bed creek and the blankets rustling. You saw Azula awaken rubbing her head and her hair fallen down. She immediately glared at you as she got off the bed and rushed to you putting her two fingers with her super long nails against the skin up to your neck. “Who are you?” She kept looking at you. “[Name]” You said as you looked down at Azula. “Hmm where’s the Avatar? I know you helped them. Where did he go?” She demanded as she then winced at her back. “I’ll tell you but please take it easy. You’re still hurt and injured.” You said calmly and smiled trying to ease her anger. She still had her suspicions about you but she saw your health supplies and sat down. “I’m a princess. I don’t need help from you!” She said in a stubborn tone. You chuckle “I know but I want to help you.” You got out some bandages and ointment for her.
You went up to her. “Hold still it’s going to sting.” You warned as you put the alcohol on a cloth and rubbed it on her skin to disinfect anything form hee opened wounds. You heard her gasp and glared down at you. “Not so harsh!” She yelled as you rolled your eyes. You kept treating her wounds. Under all the toughness of Azula she couldn’t help but find your kindness a bit weird. Usually from being in another nation, they would’ve locked her up or killed her when she was passed out. But she could help to find your compassion…nice.
As you were done with her face you moved to her fingers. They were a bit bloody as you cleaned them and wrapped them in some bandages. “Is that better?” You looked up as she gave a nod. You got up and went to your desk. “Why did a peasant like you help me?” Azula chuckled mockingly. “I don’t know something told me to help you.” You didn’t look at her but her face was a bit surprised, for some reason she felt her heart skip a beat. She also was intrigued that you didn’t get mad or offended at her calling you a peasant. “I’m grateful for your compassion but I’m going to go back to my ship.” Azula got up still a bit in pain as she went to your mirror trying to do her hair. You saw her struggle and fighting with her hair. “I’m guessing you never did your own hair?” You asked as she just grunted. You walked over to her. “Stop let me.” You stopped her by holding her wrists and pulling them away from her hair. She wanted to fight back and shout at you for touching her but then saw you do her hair. You put it in a high bun like how she had it before and put her hairpin in. “There…” you pulled away seeing her being pleased. “Thank you peasant.”
You rolled your eyes as she was about to leave but stopped herself. “Why don’t you join me on my journey? You could be quite useful” She grinned at you. You knew if you didn’t go with her it wouldn’t be good but you also wanted to. Somehow you found her captivating even if she was a fire nation royal. “Sure.” You say as you see her grin from ear to ear. “You’re a very interesting peasant. You won’t leave my side unless I say so. You’re like my assistant.”
You two snuck away from the village trying to get back to Azulas ship. You left a note for your father lying in the writing. You couldn’t tell him the truth. You arrived at her big ship as she walked and you followed. The soldiers got in line and bows at Azulas presence “Princess we were worried where were you?” The captain asked as she grins. “[Name] had helped me! Now they are my assistant and if anyone gives them trouble or talks poorly about them you’re going to be burned alive! Got it?!” She demanded in a strong voice as the soldiers bow. “Yes Princess!” Azula turned to you. “Like I said you don’t leave my side, you’re with me now.” You nod as you couldn’t help but feel warm at the possessiveness. “O-ok princess” you smiled gently as she grinned. “Good! Come with me and tell me where the Avatar went while you check on my wounds.” She demanded as she walked to her throne. You smile and nod while you followed her.“Maybe she isn’t so bad”
this was so fun to write. I really hope you enjoyed it and wrote it the way you wanted. 🫶
have a great day also!! :)

I love Azula!!! Could you do one where the Reader is part of her little gang and when they go to Omashu for Mai, Azula reacts to R taking care of Tom-Tom. Like she doesn’t understand that it’s heartwarming to see R being good with kids and she knows she’s not, but she still has a random thought in the back of her mind of a “what if this would be what it’s like if we have a family together.”So, she’ll watch as R makes him laugh and even sings him a little lullaby when he starts crying, and, for a second, her calculating and ruthless demeanor changes into a sweet look at the scene and at the thought of a domestic life with R.
Dreaming of Tomorrow - Azula x reader
[Masterlist]
Azula x gn reader, no warnings
1.065 words, this was very fun to write, enjoy! ^^
You arrived in Omashu. Azula, Ty Lee and you went there to find Mai, the last member of the squad Azula wanted to assemble to track down Iroh and Zuko.
You had never met Mai as you only knew Azula since a short time, but you knew she was the daughter of Omashu’s new Governour.
Having arrived in the palace, you were escorted to the private rooms of Mai’s family by guards. Once you were inside and the doors were closed, Azula didn’t wait for any formalities and quickly introduced everyone; you greeted Mai and her parents, the Governour Ukano and his wife Michi, who was holding Mai’s infant brother, Tom-Tom.
You immediately liked them; it was rare but all the more nice to see a happy family in such a high political position.
Michi sat Tom-Tom down in a chair and excused herself and her husband, she said they needed to prepare something.
After they had left, Azula shot a glare at Ty Lee, who immediately began talking to Mai and trying to convince her to join the gang. Azula had instructed Ty Lee that she should try first because Azula knew very well that her usual ways of convincing people might not work on someone like Mai and she expected Ty Lee to have better chances.
You sat down too, not knowing what else to do with Ty Lee talking to Mai and Azula observing them. You looked around the room and noticed Tom-Tom sitting on his chair. He seemed to have noticed you too and looked at you with interested, big eyes. You smiled and waved at him, making him laugh. He stood up and began walking towards you with small, clumsy steps.
When he reached you he lifted his arms up, pointing to you. You picked him up very gently and lifted him up to your lap. He seemed to be very happy and you played with each other for a bit, and somehow it was so nice even for you!
Azula watched Ty Lee and Mai impatiently. Why did this take so long? Couldn’t Ty Lee just say what she wanted to say and convince Mai to come with her? Did she always have to be so sickeningly sweet and first talk about unimportant things like Mai’s family, her health and what her life was like? Azula could not wrap her head around how other people actually enjoyed talking about that kind of stuff. To her, it was torture, but if ‘being nice’ really, like Ty Lee said, would make it more likely to get Mai to agree, she would endure the wait.
She looked around the room to distract herself and her eyes locked on you. Were you holding that infant brother of Mai? What was his name again, Dum-Dum? Tom-Tom? Something like that. Not that she would care about some insignificant baby.
She kept looking at you though. Tom-Tom seemed to be quite happy around you. She had never realised you were so good with kids. That was probably because she had never seen you around kids. Still, something was calming about watching you and Tom-Tom. It was almost heartwarming, and she felt as if she wished she was there with you and the baby…
But why would she want to? She was confused at her thoughts. She was Azula. She was a fighter and not interested in things like babies; all they did was cry and be not useful. Playing with babies was for those weak people who valued shallow ideas like a “loving family” over strength. Her father Ozai was the only one who knew how to handle a baby! That was of course why she was the only baby that had turned into a strong human. Her mother on the other hand… well, she made Zuko. And more or less all people were like that, raising their children to be weak.
That was what she thought. However, watching you care for Tom-Tom…
Her thoughts were interrupted as Tom-Tom, whom you had put on the floor again because he wanted to walk, stumbled and fell! He started crying and you rushed to him, picking him up and rocking him gently. You wiped his tears and started humming a lullaby you remembered from when your parents sang it to you.
After a while, Tom-Tom went silent, and soon after he was already as happy as sunshine again! Ty Lee and Mai had some time ago left the room to talk about something different, but Azula was still looking at Tom-Tom and you, somehow enchanted by what she was witnessing. Her heart felt lighter when watching you and Tom-Tom play.
She had always thought badly of typical families with (loving) weak parents and (happy) spoiled children, but you made it look like a dream… was this what having a family is like? Was this what having a family with you is like? Azula felt strange at the thought. Her heartbeat got a little bit faster. This scene she watched, you playing with Tom-Tom, was something she had never seen before and she suddenly felt like there was more to life than she had thought up until this point. And she felt that she wanted to experience it herself; the joy of parents and children! A different joy than the perfectionist and pressured one she had with her father; she wanted to feel real joy, even if it was this time as a parent and not as a child. But was that even possible for her?
You cared for Tom-Tom so well…you could surely be a good parent if you had children. But could she be one too? Azula looked away, her heart becoming heavy and slow again. She could not. Obviously she couldn’t. When she walked through the streets, peasant parents shielded their children from her. They were all afraid, even the children themselves. She could never be a good parent. maybe she should just stop thinking about it. All these thoughts were making her weak. She shouldn't have considered it in the first place.
But still, the thought of being with you…
She decided to just get out of the room and wait for you. But when she sent a last, longing glance at you and Tom-Tom, she saw you smiling at her, making her heart skip a beat:
“Azula, wanna come over and play with us?”

I Don’t Smoke - Azula x reader
[masterlist]
Azula x gn reader based on the song “I Don’t smoke” by Mitski. warnings: angst, verbal and physical violence, burning
534 + 282 words
Please enjoy
“Azula, don’t do this! They did their best, they don’t deserve this!” You rushed to Azula, desperate to keep her from inflicting mass punishment on her soldiers.
If you need to be mean
“The failed me. And they will suffer.” “But…” “Stop defending them! I am their princess and if they do not live up to my expectations they will have to endure the consequences!” “Azula, if you would just listen to…”
Be mean to me
“Are you trying to question my decisions, y/n?” Azula stared at you, her face distorted with anger. You had been in this situation before. Azula did love you, but in moments like this she was not herself. Still, you were determined to keep her from hurting her soldiers.
I can take it and put it inside of me
Even if it meant you would get hurt instead.
“Yes Azula, I am.” Your voice trembled. “It is not justifiable to punish all those people only because they cannot meet your unreachable standards.”
If your hands need to break
More than trinkets in your room
Azula came closer to you. “Do you realise what you just said, y/n?”
You can lean on my arm
Azula caressed your cheek. Her hand was boiling hot. “You know I love you, y/n”, Azula purred. Her touch burned. “And you are lucky that I do.” Her hand heated up even more. Tears began running over your face, evaporating when meeting her hand. “I would not hold back if it was someone else.”
As you break my heart
The pain was too much. You knocked her arm away and wiped your tears with your sleeve. But your skin wasn’t the only thing that burned; your heart felt like there was nothing but ashes left. You looked down at the floor, unable to meet Azula’s gaze.
Just don't leave me alone
“Azula, why are you doing this?” You tried to suppress your sobbing.
Wondering where you are
“I am doing this because I am right, why can’t you accept that! The soldiers failed me so they need to be punished, there is no other righteous way! And you cannot keep me from doing what I want.”
I am stronger than you give me
Credit for
You swallowed. “If you truly loved me, Azula, you wouldn’t hurt those people. You know punishing innocents is wrong. You know how much it hurts me to see you do it! I know you are better than this!”
If your hands need to break
More than trinkets in your room
You could not imagine what Azula was thinking now. You did not want to. You could practically sense her pent up anger and feel the masses of pure fire she was able to unleash now in the air.
You can lean on my arm
As you break my heart
You had done what was right. You had stood up against the unjust princess.
Against the cruel Azula.
Against the person you loved more than everything.
You knew she would make you pay. You swallowed the pieces that were left of your broken heart and closed your eyes, expecting your loved one’s rage.
< • ◇ • >
Hello. I hope you liked this! I tried my best; this was my first time writing something based on a song. I really liked this!
I couldn’t let it end like this though, so I searched up the english translation of two Bach pieces I really like and put together a somewhat happy ending, even if it’s not fully in character for Azula.
Enjoy.
< • ◇ • >
If the tears on my cheeks
can do nothing,
o then take my heart as well!
You waited but nothing happened. “Don’t hesitate, Azula. If my voice is not loud enough to reach your ears, hurt me. If it stops you from hurting the soldiers, hurt me.” Tears streamed down your face.
Yet let it be, in the flow,
as the wounds gently bleed,
the offering-bowl as well.
Your voice was nothing but a trembling whisper now. “Just please, I beg you, remember that I love you.” You kept your eyes closed, waiting for the inevitable.
But still, nothing happened. Instead, when you looked up again, Azula looked back at you with terror and guilt written all over her face.
O great love, o love beyond measure,
that brought You to this path of martyrdom!
When your eyes met hers, she rushed towards you and embraced you, her guilt becoming unbearable when she felt you flinching away at her touch. Her voice was unsteady and worried “I… I already hurt you, y/n…” You tried to escape her embrace but she clinged to you and buried her head in your neck like a child that awoke from a bad dream. “I am so sorry, y/n.”
I lived with the world in delight and joy,
and You had to suffer.
Her voice trembled with guilt: “My anger was too much. I did not see your suffering. Please forgive me. Please tell me you are alright! Please, y/n!”
You were not alright. Healing would take time, as would completely forgiving her. So you chose to speak truth:
“I love you, Azula.”
“I love you too, y/n.”

Survivor - Azula x reader
[masterlist]
Azula x gn reader, no warnings
2.113 words
The story is by @darkprince1110 who has the original version published on their account :)
Enjoy!
The fire nation is no place for weaklings. Either you are strong enough to care for yourself, or you aren't. And if you aren’t, nobody will help you.
You had learnt this lesson very early in your life as your parents, who were too poor to feed you, had abandoned you. So in your case, ‘caring for yourself’ meant stealing what you needed to eat for the day.
You ran quickly through the narrow streets. You knew every turn by heart; you had used these streets many times before to evade your pursuers, just like today. The merchant you had relieved from some of his stock was fast though. Faster than the others. You could hear his screaming come closer: “MY CABBAGES!” echoed through the streets louder with each time.
Stressed, you took another turn. Your only chance of getting away was to lose him in the hustle of the main street. As the narrow side streets you had run through were rarely illuminated and not much sunlight reached the bottom of them, you were blinded for a moment when you stepped into the radiant sunlight of the main street. But, much to your misfortune, you kept running. Right into a coach that slowly made its way through the masses of people on the street.
You fell to the ground, dropping the cabbages you had carried. You noticed the coach was bearing the sign of the royal palace. And you heard the cabbage salesman coming closer. This was it, you were done for; nobles did not usually look forgivingly upon thieves like you.
The curtain that seperated the nobles in the coach from the commoners on the street was drawn back. Two elderly women looked down on you. They were twins. They quickly understood the situation when the cabbage merchant, still screaming, came into their sight and started gathering the cabbages you had stolen, while constantly talking about you being a thief.
You did not dare to look up at the women and were silent because you feared begging for forgiveness would only worsen your punishment. Much to your surprise though, you heard the sound of coins being handed over and then the merchant’s complaints went silent. You were puzzled - did the noblewomen just pay him??
You were quickly pulled away from your thoughts as the women began talking to you, saying sentences alternately like they shared the same brain:
What is your name?
“Y/N, your highness.”
Do you not have a last name?
Or a family?
“No.”
Oh that is tragic.
Come with us.
We are Lo.
And Lee.
And we will make sure you do not have to steal again.
The last sentence, that somehow seemed like both a threat and an offer, they said in perfect unity, making you shudder. However it was clear that you had to come with them, and a little part of you was very curious about them and what they had planned.
You felt weird when entering their coach. You had never been surrounded by such wealth. Hell, you had never even been in a coach! The noblewomen sat on the opposite side and smiled at you the whole ride. The many wrinkles on their faces made them look like they had been smiling their entire lives. They began asking you questions like what food you liked, what were your favourite colours and clothing types. Most of the questions you could not answer because you had never had the opportunity to eat anything but what you could gather on the streets and wear anything but what you found there.
If you do not know what you like
We will have to try everything.
You didn’t know if you were supposed to laugh because while trying ‘everything’ was entirely impossible, Lo and Lee did not look like they were joking.
Arriving in what seemed to be their home you were completely overwhelmed. Golden ornaments covered every wall and every ceiling and the floor was covered in expensive carpets who bore masterfully crafted embroidery that depicted old legends of the fire nation.
Servants greeted Lo and Lee when they entered the house and Lo and Lee quickly gave them orders to prepare a room for you.
A little bit later you were guided into that room. It was a bedroom with a giant bed and on it laid what was probably the most expensive pajamas you could ever have dreamt of.
It is late now.
And tomorrow is going to be an exhausting day.
You need to sleep.
If you are hungry or need anything else
Just ring that bell.
Only now you noticed the bell that laid on the small bedside table. You thanked Lo and Lee and when they left you put on the pajamas.
You didn’t think that you could sleep that night out of excitement but when you laid down in that big, fluffy bed, it was almost impossible not to fall asleep immediately.
< • ◇ • >
When you woke up, Lo and Lee sat beside your bed.
Good morning
We hope you slept well
Now choose one of these robes
You have to be dressed appropriately for breakfast
You could not believe your eyes. In your room, there were countless robes that looked like the ones fire nation nobility wears. Lo and Lee really had not been joking when they said you had to try everything; it seemed like they had brought the whole stock of the fire lord’s tailor to your room.
You really could not decide, but as you did not want to wait, you quickly chose the robe with relatively little gold as it seemed to be the most fitting for you, regarding where you came from.
So humble
So modest
And yet such good taste
You will make a good appearance
You were handed fitting underwear and, once you had put that on, servants helped you enter the robe.
Then you were guided to the dining room. You were amazed by the many kinds of food displayed on the table and couldn’t take your eyes off them. And all of it tasted heavenly!
< • ◇ • >
This really felt like a dream. In the following weeks your whole life changed drastically; you were taught proper etiquette and Lo and Lee showed you around the upper class of the fire nation; all your wishes were fulfilled in the blink of an eye and after some time Lo and Lee even told you they wanted to adopt you. You were perplexed but at the same time filled with joy. Words couldn’t describe how happy you were that day.
When you ate dinner that evening you still were so excited you paid less attention to your surroundings than usual. And that had consequences. With one thoughtless movement, you knocked over a candle in a way that it fell on your hand and the hot wax spilled on your skin. Lo and Lee were shocked, and you expected to feel pain, but there was none.
Silence occurred as everyone tried to figure out what was going on. With a subconscious movement of your hand, you had redirected all the flame and heat from the candle to another candle standing next to it, almost burning it entirely. All the wax that covered your hand was completely cold.
You had been too focused on the candle to notice what you had just done, but Lo and Lee immediately knew what had happened.
How interesting
How useful
Excellent
Y/N, you are a firebender.
< • ◇ • >
This discovery brought even more change to your life. Lo and Lee spared no expense to get the best firebending teachers of the entire Fire Nation to teach you.
Contrary to Lo and Lee, who were sure you were talented, you were very unsure whether this firebending stuff was truly something you were good at. You were very motivated and trained hard but if you were honest, you did not think you could properly learn it.
Sadly you were correct. Teacher after teacher tried to get you to understand the movements, but no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t do it. Lo and Lee, knowing much about Firebending themselves, also tried to teach you, but not even they succeeded in teaching you anything more than the basic movements.
Starting at your age is hard
But you can still learn to firebend
A strong flame burns inside you
We need to find someone who can teach you to gain control of that flame.
. . .
There might be someone.
She has never teached anyone
But she is the best firebender you will ever have an opportunity to work with
Follow us.
Lo and Lee led you to their carriage and ordered the coachman to drive you to the inner buildings of the royal palace. You arrived at the building in which the Firelord himself lived - you were overwhelmed by awe only looking at the outside of the building, and the inside did not impress you any less. Everything was covered in gold and expensive red fabrics. Whom would Lo and Lee take you to? Did the royal family have any firebending trainers they wanted you to be teached by too?
You made your way to the training grounds of the palace. You could hear that someone was intensly firebending there. When you arrived, your gaze was immediately drawn to the person training: it was princess Azula.
Your eyes followed all her movements - it was a fascinating sight - and a beautiful one. When she jumped through the parcour, she swirled through the air as if she possessed wings and when she shot at targets she casted the brightest blue flames seemingly effortlessly. You could have watched her all day. When Lo and Lee drew Azula's attention to you, she came towards you with just a few jumps and landed in front of you, looking you directly in your eyes. She looked even better this close - you almost fainted.
Also, she showed no sign of exhaustion at all. It was as if she had just gotten up from a good rest and not from her parcour. You were very stressed; you knew you should bow, but she stood so close that you would collide if you did. So you simply tried greeting her.
You opened your mouth and your voice wouldn’t come. You cleared your throat and tried a second time: “Princess Azula, I am honored to meet you.” You were avoiding to look into her eyes and your face became red.
Azula smirked. “You should be. Not everyone gets the chance to witness me firebend.” Her voice hit you like a rock. It was beautiful! You heard your heart beat faster and you could have sworn Azula heard it too, given how loud it was. You dared looking up at her eyes and you would have gotten lost looking in them if Lo and Lee hadn’t interrupted you.
We are honored to meet you again too, Azula
May we introduce y/n to you?
“Ah, y/n.” Azula looked at you again, you desperately tried not to look back too intensely. “Now, y/n, what brings you - or rather why do Lo and Lee bring you here?”
Lo and Lee answered in your place:
It is your firebending we want to talk about, Azula
You have learnt and perfected all there is to learn
By that you have earnt the right to teach someone yourself
We think that y/n will be a good first apprentice for you
And a challenging one.
Something in Azula’s eyes lit up. “Challenging, you say?”
Many other teachers have tried to teach y/n
But all of their efforts did not bear fruit
If you can bring y/n to firebend, you will certainly have proven you are not only a perfect bender but also the best teacher of this nation
That was all Azula needed to hear. Of course she was the best firebending master, and now she would prove it.
“I accept you as my disciple, y/n. Training starts tomorrow when the sun rises. I will make you firebend, no matter what it takes - and I expect to see quick progress from you. As long as you are trained by me, failure is not an option and perfection is the only way. Understood?”
You nodded: “Yes, Princess Azula.”
Azula intimidated and fascinated you at the same time, and you knew it was the chance of your life if you ever were to learn firebending.
You and Azula looked at eachother, and it was clear that you would not disappoint her, no matter how hard the training was.
You are a survivor.

Hey Seetang!
It’s definitely been more than a minute. I just got caught up in my personal life and kind of forgot about Tumblr, but things are doing a bit better now. I’m so sorry about that.
Easter and Good Friday has passed us by, so Happy Belated Easter! In America, as Christians, we acknowledge the death and resurrection of Christ and most churches do communion on that Sunday, but also as a traditional way we like to do the dying of eggs, egg hunts, and having the Easter Bunny leave baskets of candy. Is there anything that happens in Germany as an Easter tradition?
How have you been doing? Hope all is well!
-🌹
Hello 🌹!
You do not need to apologise, I am happy to hear things are better now - hopefully things will stay less stressful.
And happy belated Easter to you too! Actually the easter tradition is pretty much the same here in Germany - churches do big masses and people are hiding eggs and eating lots of chocolate bunnies. Sadly I was sick this easter and couldn't go to church :/
And somehow a few days ago I got sick again but it's already getting better.
Also this is random but if you wanr to listen to some more music I can only recommend Mozart's great mass in c minor hehe
I hope you are well,
- Seetang :)

Hello!
It’s been a sec, but nice to talk again! I’ve just been busy doing stuff. Gotta fix up stuff in my house, so that’s kind of what I do on days off. I looked into the “Elberfelder Bibel” and, based on the English translation I read, it looks really good! I have a few translations of the Bible at home that I like, so maybe I’ll add it after awhile! ((Honestly, I don’t have the KJV, but that could just be from my lack of understanding and maybe because I’m not too fond of the “King-James-Only People” that believe that it’s the only, perfect Bible and that it’s the only version that you can be saved from.)) The best translation is the one that brings you closer to God.
I’m reading the New Testament, and I’m currently at 1 Thessalonians. I just know that once I hit the last book, I’m going to be in a situation of “what is real and what is a metaphor?” I may just get study material for Revelations.
How’s everything? I hope things have gotten better. Also, I was wondering, and forgive me if this is rude because I really don’t mean it like that, but how have you learned English so well? It’s really good! I guess I just kind of assume that German is your first language and idk how old you are, but in terms of grammar and vocabulary, you do a really good job at writing English!

Hello,
Nice to hear from you again! I imagine it to be quite hard to fix stuff around the house. Do you usually do that all by yourself or do you get help sometimes?
And it's good to hear you like the "Elberfelder Bibel". I just looked it up and the first version seems to have been created in cooperation with an English translator. I don't know how much influence the translation you read has from that original English translation, but it's interesting nonetheless. And having multiple Bibles is fun - I actually have a small pocket New Testament in contemporary language but I found the cover so unpleasing that I made a new one myself lmao
And I do get you, but really, what's not a metaphor or has multiple meanings in the Bible? 💀 Really messes with my head sometimes. But one can more or less confidently cross out 'wrong' interpretations by sticking to the very condensed message of Jesus that is "love your neighbor as you love yourself". I'm currently reading the old testament for the first time and that's really a rollercoster. Goes from killing ten-thousands to talking about what you can and can't eat for thirty pages in less than a minute.
Anyways. Things have been being much less stressful and I hope to be able to do some more reading again now. And your question sbout my English is not rude at all, it makes me very happy to hear my English is good! In Germany, English class is mandatory for all children, so everyone who pays attention in school should know the basics of grammar etc. But what really got me closer to the language were english/american youtubers. Later also old movies and other stuff from the internet, but youtube really thought me the most lol. (I have a terrible German accent though. But nobody's perfect, eh?)
Wow, this is a long message. But it's fun texting you, so that's allright! I hope everything is well,
Seetang ^^

Hiya!
I’m doing alright. Nothing too bad. Daylight savings it about to happen soon, so we’ll lose an hour of sleep, and that’s always fun 🙃 How’s it going with you? Hope all is well!
Yeah the denominations get wild, and, unfortunately, some lean toward cult-like behavior. It’s a shame because I think when people see the radicals of Christianity or even those that spew out misinformation of the Bible, it may turn them off to it.
I’m trying to find a church. I haven’t stayed at one for quite long enough. But I’ve attended Baptists churches and Assemblies of God churches. They’re not bad though. I just haven’t found the one, you know?
One thing about churches is that they all have preferred version of the Bible. King James Version (KJV) is like the classic, but it goes straight over my head with all its “thee’s” and “thou’s.” So, I try to stick to nearly anything but that. I do like the New King James Version (NKJV) because it still keeps the poetic nature of the KJV, but it’s translated to more normal terms. The English Standard Version (ESV) is also pretty good, and is one of those versions that is closer to the original text by being a more accurate word-for-word translation.
Do you have a preferred version of the Bible? Is there multiple versions available in Germany?

Hello!
Yes lol we like to sleep shorter than usual 🫠
It's going pretty well with me, it was a bit stressfull the last weeks but there is light at the end of the tunnel - next week the stress should be over :). I hope you aren't too stressed as well? I've already heard of the Baptists, but I had to look up the Assemblies of God. Turns out I had already heard about their theology without connecting it to this church lol. I sincerely hope you find a church you feel good about soon.
And ooohh the Bibles! Germany has very many of them. The first non-latin Bible in the middle ages in Europe was German - translated by Martin Luther and against the will of the Catholic Church, hence the whole reformation stuff (*proud lutheran noises*). There are appearantly over 40 different German Bibles - I'm currently reading the "Elberfelder Bibel". It is a pretty 'scientific' translation in the way that it focuses very much on reproducing the original text as exact as possible, gives archeological evidence to different passages and almost every few verses there is an explaining comment on the history, theological interpretations etc. It takes longer to read than an uncommented version like the Luther-Bible but it's worth it. Have you read / are you reading the Bible?
Have a wonderful day!
