💬 I made TWO (2) BAND-AIDS for this. Read the Patreon posts for more information:

"AppearanceModifier" uses an "appearance_modifier" to force the current SimBust thumbnail to reset itself.

"NoTanOverlay" removes the tan overlay completely, which squashes the problem entirely.

🛠️ If your SimBust thumbnails are a complete mess, you should delete your "localthumbcache.package". That's where the thumbnails are saved and that's the workaround for this... that console simmers can't do. I can only do so much from this side of the fence.

👹 Sunbathing has been breaking our SimBusts since EP07 released on 6/21/2019. This "bug" is SIX (6) YEARS OLD and it has never been addressed. IT TOOK ME LESS THAN A DAY TO DO BOTH OF MY BAND-AIDS! What the actual !@#$?! "I'd hate to be a member of the Sims team and read all these negative comments [...]", I'd hate to be a member of the Sims team and not be able to fix these years-long bugs because EA insists on churning out new content constantly. I'd be like "Yeah, simmers be having a point with their criticisms. This is bullshit." LESS THAN ONE DAY!

However, I'm considering overhauling the Patreon post.

Since we now have a video for instructions, I'm considering moving some of my many sections into a "companion" post.

We'll see what happens.

I intend to re-release everything I've done because I'm changing my filenames slightly and adding sub-folders to my "#Sej" folder for better organization of my mods in your Mods folder.

"CAS Filters" needs no filename changes and I already added my sub-folder in the last ZIP archive, so there's nothing you need to do... except delete duplicates of "CAS Filters" in your Mods folder in case you missed the notification about the new sub-folder in the Patreon post.

Hi everyone! I've been updating all my CC to make it compatible with Sejian’s new mod. I also took the opportunity to fix some bugs in older collections and remake the broken normal maps (if you ever saw a weird shadow on your Sims’ necks, that was caused by faulty normal maps).

🚨 IMPORTANT 🚨

The new CAS Filters Mod by Sejian lets you use custom filters in CAS to easily find CC from your favorite creators—just like you do with expansion or kit filters! This mod only works if we creators make our packages compatible with it. It took me several days and hours to go through and fix everything one by one, but I’m happy to bring you this update, and I hope you enjoy it! 🔧 How to use this feature:

Download sej_CASFilters_[YYMMDD]_[RELINFO].zip

Save it in your MODS folder. That’s it!! 🎉

Someone did ask, then they followed up with questions about the other PartFlags and Tags seen in STUDIO » CATEGORIES, so I decided it was time that I finally share what I've learned / discovered about these PartFlags and Tags.

I am not an expert and there are gaps in my knowledge, but I have devoted a considerable amount of time trying to understand these PartFlags and Tags because I mean to fix the mess EAxis has created in CAS with my "CAS Overrides" project - every Pack, every Kit, every item in the BASE GAME. EAxis CAS is an incompetent mess and fixing the majority of it is as simple as checking or unchecking a box.

Some of this is straightforward.

Some of this you might already know.

Some of this might go against what you believe to be true or correct.

If you think (or know) that something I've said is incorrect, then comment and let me know and we can compare notes. If I am wrong or if we discover something new, then I will update the post accordingly.

I don't bite unless biting is the necessary response.

This Collection of posts is still very much a work-in-progress.

If the post has a construction barrier emoji "🚧" in the title, then it is still under construction. This started as one (1) post, then I decided to split it into a fifteen (15).

I've been meaning to do this for years (literally) because I'm tired of EAxis CAS being an unnecessary mess (though I accept that EAxis doesn't actually give a !@#$), and I am tired of having to fix improper PartFlags and Tags on third-party custom content, which is one of the main reasons I don't use a lot of third-party custom content.

It is reasonable for creators and simmers alike to not fully understand these PartFlags and Tags even after all these years, but it's time we course correct and start doing things properly.

I can handle the !@#$ EAxis does in CAS, but I can't possibly fix every piece of custom content on my own... unless I pivot into only doing "CAS Overrides" and "Custom Content CAS Overrides".

It's been TEN (10) YEARS. I think we're capable of better.

P.S. In case you weren't aware...

The "Apply To All Swatches" button in STUDIO » CATEGORIES » "Miscellaneous" is BROKEN in Sims 4 Studio 3.2.4.3 and likely the Mac version too!

When used, it breaks all "Miscellaneous" Tags in every swatch by removing their "CategoryNumber".

DO NOT USE IT unless you intend to manually fix every missing "CategoryNumber" in WAREHOUSE » TAGS » EDIT ITEMS... » "Editing Tags..." for every "CAS Part".

Also, I need to dedicate some time to sprucing up my Tumblr. This place is a mess. 😹

NONAME HAIR

24 EA colors;

2 versions - in V2 I removed a strand from the right shoulder so that it would not cut into the collars of clothes, if you use such;

3 versions of hair recoloring with 16 swatches, is in the face paint category (all in one object).

I wanted to make a hairstyle that would look exactly like grown-out dyed hair, and not ombre.

I made three versions of grown-out roots, and allowed myself to get a little carried away with the colors, since this is still dyed hair, I used colors far from EA, but you can change them with sliders as you like!

Also, starting with this hairstyle, all my new CC will be compatible with the mod CAS Filters from @sejianismodding.

🌠 "CAS FILTERS" IS UPDATED!

DELETE THE OLD VERSION IF YOU USE MY INCLUDED "#Sej" FOLDER! I AM NOW ADDING SUB-FOLDERS TO MY "#Sej" FOLDER FOR BETTER ORGANIZATION, SO THIS NEW VERSION WON'T PROMPT TO OVERRIDE THE OLD VERSION!

This third update increases the number of filters from 525 to 760 - 630 creator filters, 100 generic filters, and 30 fashion era / time period filters.

Keep in mind that these filters are only visible in CAS when custom content using my custom TAGS are present in your Mods folder.

The Patreon post and the Tumblr post are still "under construction", but all of the information you need is there. I just need to refine it, condense it, expand it, etc.

P.S. I'm always on hiatus from this mod. I'm trying to finish some of the other projects I was working on that I paused work on when I figured out how to do this and subjected the world to it, but we're not nearly done yet. There are hundreds (plural) of creator filters missing. I intend to do this for "everyone" if the override permits.

⚙️ EUREKA! I figured it out! I can now create custom filters in CAS for just about anything. This is going to ruin my life… but maybe it'll make The Sims 4 a little more tolerable for you.

For all intents and purposes, this is a "community project". I am willing and able to create and maintain the required override, the hundreds upon hundreds of unique 9-digit "IDs" for the "TagValueNumber", and the unique Strings, etc., but I can't possibly override every custom CAS item in existence.

Help me make this a reality, and also, keep your fingers crossed that the override doesn't break under the weight of the hundreds upon hundreds of entries I'm adding to it.

Oh hai, @sims4studioofficial. Can you add a BATCH FIX that <LOOKS THROUGH MY WISH LIST> allows us to add a "SpecialContent" TAG with a custom "TagValueNumber" to a whole folder of CAS mods? Even if you can't get the "CategoryNumber" to copy properly, a BATCH FIX will at least eliminate half the busywork.
