Any tips for someone getting into DnD? ☺️

Honestly, the best tip I got when I was getting into dnd is to remember that it’s a story. It IS a game, but it’s also a story that you’re all making. If there are any rules in the book that you feel limit you, or if you want to change a few details for your story, go ahead. No one dnd campaign will be like all the others. It’s your story to tell, have fun with it:)

As much as I would love to be a tough butch, and it is a lot, I’m not. I’m nervous and I avoid confrontation. More of my friends would call me shy than not. That doesn’t mean I don’t still try to be there when people need me- I always try to be a shoulder to cry on, a voice of reason when it’s hard, honest but not harsh. Even if I can’t fight someone, I can still be a safe space. I can be kind and supportive and remind my loved ones they’re loved

I like pet names! I just like when they feel natural and have meaning- I agree that dropping them instantly can be a bit strange, because in my opinion, there should be a reason. To me, it’s something that happens as you get to know each other, maybe they’re sweet so you call them honey or sweetheart, maybe they’re a little more put together and you call them darling, y’know? I like pet names when they’re a way to show what you know about the person, or that you’re close enough to have your own little shorthands :)

I’m honestly not sure- there are definitely people in my life who I’ve known I was gonna love from the first moments we met, but I never know how. Most of them are my friends now, some of them are past friends, but I could also see that feeling becoming a romantic connection with the right person:)) as for typing, I’m not sure- I’m so touchy feely I don’t know that I could ever do purely online dating:(

Ahhah, no, no, no partner:) Just a lot of butch lesbian pining on my part. Being a lesbian is so engrained into me that it feels like breathing to talk about how excited I am for my future

Ironically, I’m not actually looking for a partner either, I wanna be able to give the butch or femme I’m with the absolute best, and I’m still in the growing stages of my life. Femmes are possibly the most beautiful people on the planet. The time and care that goes into how they construct themselves, the outfits, the makeup, the hair, the jewelry. The way they carry themselves in a world that tells them femininity is for men, waking up to prove that it can be for themselves. Building an identity completely separate from what is expected of them and shining with pride.

More than that, I find beauty in what they stand for. How they fight for their right to love, for their identity and for the identity of butches. The ways that they use the space they’ve created to protect and nurture, helping people up. Femmes are beautiful because of who they are, because of what it means to be a femme
