I think what I can appreciate about 911’s writing vs The Rookie lately is even though they both have large main character casts, it doesn’t feel like any persons plot is being rushed.

911 is tackling 2 stories at a time, maybe 3 max. My attention isn’t being thrashed around and everyone will get their turn in the spotlight and I can breathe and process it.

The Rookie cast has gotten so big and it’s like the fandoms attention is on a particular set of characters and everyone else feels like filler. I miss caring about all the characters equally and giving them meaningful storylines and TIME to breathe with it. Not like everyone’s story line is only 5 minutes because they’re trying to do 10 stories per episode. I missed loving The Rookie
